This study investigates university English teachers’acceptance and willingness to use learning management system(LMS)data analysis tools in their teaching practices.The research employs a mixed-method approach,combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to understand teachers’perceptions and attitudes,and the factors influencing their adoption of LMS data analysis tools.The findings reveal that perceived usefulness,perceived ease of use,technical literacy,organizational support,and data privacy concerns significantly impact teachers’willingness to use these tools.Based on these insights,the study offers practical recommendations for educational institutions to enhance the effective adoption of LMS data analysis tools in English language teaching. 展开更多

The concept of New Liberal Arts,a multidisciplinary combined integrator with Chinese values at its core,has brought new challenges to the teaching methods and professional development of higher-level English teachers.Based on the evolving professional development process of higher vocational English teachers in the context of the New Liberal Arts,this article analyzes how English teachers can integrate multidisciplinary knowledge and adopt advanced educational technology in the teaching process.On this basis,it discusses the role of teachers’professional development in enhancing students’learning ability,such as through deepening disciplinary understanding,adopting innovative teaching strategies,and implementing personalized teaching.At the end of the article,based on a variety of pedagogical theories,we put forward suggestions,including continuous professional training,interdisciplinary cooperation,and the application of innovative teaching techniques,which are mainly aimed at helping higher vocational English teachers get rid of the dilemma of the new situation,adapt to the needs of the new liberal arts education as soon as possible,and then effectively improve students’abilities. 展开更多

A Study of the Relationship between Emotion Regulation and Job Burnout among Junior High School Novice English Teachers

This study aimed to examine the relationship between junior high school novice English teachers’emotion regulation and job burnout.To achieve this purpose,a survey consisting of various scales was administered to 133 primary school teachers selected from Yunnan Province in China.Statistical analyses revealed gender differences in job burnout and emotion regulation among these teachers and highlighted the association between these two variables.The findings established that male novice English teachers in junior schools generally experience lower levels of job burnout and possess better emotion regulation skills compared to their female counterparts.Additionally,a strong negative correlation was identified between job burnout and emotional regulation skills,indicating that the stronger the emotional regulation skills,the less likely novice English teachers are to experience job burnout.The study further emphasized caution in the use of cognitive reappraisal as an emotion regulation strategy,as it may have an adverse effect on mitigating job burnout.This study concluded with recommendations for providing junior high school novice English teachers with opportunities to develop and enhance their emotion regulation skills to reduce job burnout effectively. 展开更多

This study uses the literature research method to search the domestic literature on English teacher feedback from 2011 to 2021,and reviews the research on the three main functions of English teacher feedback,namely language function,cognitive function,and emotional function,so as to explore the current situation of domestic research on teacher feedback.The results show that:First,in terms of research methods,the study of teacher feedback mainly adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,and reveals the characteristics of the use of teacher feedback in Chinese English classrooms.Secondly,in terms of research objects,the research on teacher feedback in China is biased towards the research in universities and high school classrooms.Finally,in terms of research perspectives,the study of teacher feedback is mainly conducted from the perspective of classification,characteristics and functions of feedback.This paper also finds existing problems in the current research and prospects for future trends in development for future research. 展开更多

The analysis shows that all the subjects need to improve the Basic English language skills and knowledge. In-service training and retraining are the effective ways to help develop their professionalism, but due to the limitations of all kinds of obstacles, their learning needs cannot be met. These nonverbal behavior exert a subtle influence on the students, thus affect the classroom teaching. The English teachers' classroom nonverbal behavior in a higher vocational college in Gansu province was investigated through questionnaires. Data fusion model of English teacher education ability evaluation index is obtained based on big data analysis method, data clustering analysis of English teaching evaluation indicators is carried out, Characteristic data of English Teaching are extracted, and combining fuzzy C means algorithm to analyze the characteristics of English teachers' educational ability in MOOC environment, adaptive mining evaluation of English teachers' educational ability is realized. Then we develop and design the evaluation system of English teacher education ability under the MOOC environment. The empirical data analysis is taken, and results show that it has good accuracy by using this method for evaluation of English teacher's ability, it improves the comprehensive evaluation level of English teachers. 展开更多
