Environmental influences of arsenic in selected samples were evaluated. Arsenic contents in all input and output samples vary from 0.11% in raw lead to 6.66% in collected dust-2. More arsenic is volatilized in blast furnace and fuming furnace(73.02% of arsenic input) than bottom blowing furnace(10.29% of arsenic input). There are 78.97%, 13.69%, 7.31% of total arsenic distributed in intermediate materials, stockpiled materials and unorganized emissions, respectively. Matte slag-2, collected dust-1 and secondary zinc oxide are hazardous based on the arsenic concentrations of toxicity characteristic leaching procedure. According to risk assessment code(RAC) guideline, arsenic in collected dust-1 poses a very serious risk to the surrounding environment, arsenic in speiss, matte slag-2, water-quenched slag and secondary zinc oxide show low risk, while arsenic in matte slag-1, collected dust-2 and post dust has no risk to the environment.展开更多

Through comparison of lacustrine and coal-bearing source rocks, this work attempted to analyze the composition and origin of rearranged hopanes in hydrocarbon source rocks. Taken the source rocks from the Songliao Basin, Ordos Basin and Kuqa Depression as examples, we aimed to investigate the effect of the redox conditions, water salinity and oxygen content of the source-rock depositional environment on the formation of rearranged hopanes to provide theoretical basis for the genesis of rearranged hopanes.展开更多

On top of that, the condition of short-circuit elimination or removal during ARC recloser depends on many random factors. In this article, the number of outages of 110 kV overhead lines in the Khangai region of Mongolia was studied, and the statistics of ARC device operation were compared with international standards. Also, from the works produced by scientists from foreign countries, the development level and innovative trends of ARC devices were compared and studied, and the opportunity to introduce them to Mongolia’s grid system was sought. Furthermore, the 110 kV transmission lines outage and the operation of the ARC devices installed in the Khangai region of Mongolia were studied. Hence, the average operation success rate of the ARC device in the last ten years was 76%. It was also found that the number of outages of 110 kV power lines is 8 per year on average, which is 2 - 3 times higher than the international norm. Eventually, the power grid scheme of the Khangai region, especially the Bulgan-Murun 110 kV distribution network, was modelled by Digsilent Powerfactory by including the features of Mongolia’s power transmission network, and the operation of the model was checked by the load flow function of the software.展开更多

The results showed the seawater column Chl a concentrations were 13.41-553.89 mg/m2 and the average value was 118.15 mg/m2 in the study areas. The horizontal distribution of Chl a varied remarkably from basin to shelf in the Bering Sea. The regional order of Chl a concentrations from low to high was basin, slope, outer shelf, inner shelf, and middle shelf. The verti- cal distribution of Chl a was grouped mainly from single-peak type in basin, slope, outer shelf, and middle shelf, where the deep Chl a maxima (DCM) layer was observed at 25-50 m, 30-35 m, 36-44 m, and 37-47 m, respectively. The vertical distribution of Chl a mainly had three basic patterns: standard single-peak type, surface maximum type, and bottom maximum type in the inner shelf. The analysis also showed that the transportation of ocean currents may control the distribution of Chl a, and the effects were not simple in the basin of the Bering Sea. There was a positive correlation between Chl a and temperature, but no significant correlation between Chl a and nutrients. The Bering Sea slope was an area deeply influenced by slope current. Silicate was the factor that controlled the distribution of Chl a within parts of the water in the slope. Light intensity was an important environmental factor in controlling seawater column Chl a in the shelf, where Chl a was limited by nitrate rather than phosphate within the upper water. Meanwhile, there was a positive relationship between Chl a and salinity. Algal blooms broke out at Sta. B6 of the southwestern St. Lawrence Island and Stas F6 and F11 in the middle of the Bering Strait.展开更多

Therefore, it is important to identify the spatial heterogeneity and influencing factors of PM_(2.5) concentrations for regional air quality control and management. In this study, PM_(2.5) data from 2000 to 2015 was determined from an inversion of NASA atmospheric remote sensing images. Using geo-statistics, geographic detectors, and geo-spatial analysis methods, the spatio-temporal evolution patterns and driving factors of PM_(2.5) concentration in China were evaluated. The main results are as follows.(1) In general, the average concentration of PM_(2.5) in China increased quickly and reached its peak value in 2006; subsequently, concentrations remained between 21.84 and 35.08 μg/m3.(2) PM_(2.5) is strikingly heterogeneous in China, with higher concentrations in the north and east than in the south and west. In particular, areas with relatively high PM_(2.5) concentrations are primarily in four regions, the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Lower Yangtze River Delta Plain, Sichuan Basin, and Taklimakan Desert. Among them, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region has the highest concentration of PM_(2.5).(3) The center of gravity of PM_(2.5) has generally moved northeastward, which indicates an increasingly serious haze in eastern China. High-value PM_(2.5) concentrations have moved eastward, while low-value PM_(2.5) has moved westward.(4) Spatial autocorrelation analysis indicates a significantly positive spatial correlation. The "High-High" PM_(2.5) agglomeration areas are distributed in the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Fenhe-Weihe River Basin, Sichuan Basin, and Jianghan Plain regions. The "Low-Low" PM_(2.5) agglomeration areas include Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang, north of the Great Wall, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and Taiwan, Hainan, and Fujian and other southeast coastal cities and islands.(5) Geographic detection analysis indicates that both natural and anthropogenic factors account for spatial variations in PM_(2.5) concentration. Geographical location, population density, automobile quantity, industrial discharge, and straw burning are the main driving forces of PM_(2.5) concentration in China.展开更多
