Technological Sophistication of China's Industrial Finished Goods for Export——A New Approach to Estimation

Based on the perspective of international vertical specialization,this paper creates a set of new approach to estimating the domestic technological sophistication(DTS)of export goods.Deducting the values of imported intermediate inputs contained in export goods,this paper conducts an estimation and analysis of the DTS of China's industrial finished goods for export between 2002 and 2007 at the national,industrial and regional levels.Results of our study indicate that:(1) the DTS of China's export goods demonstrates an overall tendency of steady increase and its evolving pattern demonstrates distinctive differences across sectors;(2) the DTS is on the increase for natural resources sectors,low-technology sectors,medium-technology sectors and certain high-technology sectors including transportation equipment manufacturing,general and dedicated equipment manufacturing,and electrical machinery and apparatus manufacturing while the DTS is on the significant decrease for electronic and communication equipment manufacturing and instruments,meters and other metering devices manufacturing;and(3) provinces with relatively high average values of DTS of export goods are primarily located in China's eastern region while provinces with significant DTS growth rates are mainly located in China's central and western regions and the gaps of DTS of export goods among China's eastern,central and western regions have a tendency of convergence.

Investigating environmental quality among G20 nations: The impacts of environmental goods and low-carbon technologies in mitigating environmental degradation

Environmental goods and low-carbon technologies have long been identified as having the potential to drive long-term economic progress without compromising environmental quality. However, their exact role in mitigating environmental degradation are yet to be unravelled. In addressing this shortfall, the extant literature relied on research funding and patent application as proxies for green technologies. Having established the weaknesses in the use of these variables as proxies for green technologies, this study explored the role of trade in environmental goods and low-carbon technologies in boosting environmental quality among G20 nation using a panel dataset from 1994 to 2018. The study employed the Method of Moment quantile regression for the model estimation and the Ridge regression, Discroll-Kraay standard error, and the Newey-West standard error estimators to test the robustness of our findings. Our findings indicate that whereas environmental goods promote environmental quality, low-carbon technologies decrease same. Also, the study found economic growth to exert an aggravating effect on environmental quality, while foreign direct investments, natural resource rents, human capital development, and renewable energy consumption exert positive influence on environmental quality. Based on the findings of the study, G20 nations are encouraged to improve green market structures to improve the trade in environmental goods and low-carbon technologies. Also the share of renewable energy sources in the overall energy basket must be improved to help improve environmental quality.

Polish Exports in the EU Market and Its Competitiveness in the Face of the Crisis

This article presents the problem of the competitiveness of the economy in relation to foreign trade, with particular emphasis on the current crisis. The research results are presented here, relate to the exchange between Poland and the EU countries in the field of industrial goods during the time of the association and membership in this group. They show that Polish competitiveness is improving slowly, but the structure of our exports is still unfavorable, since it is dominated by products with a low degree of processing. However, recent years have seen some improvements as evidenced by the results from the period of recession. Researches were done by using the most popular indicates like revealed comparative advantage （RCA） and intra-industry trade （IIT）. Also the influence of some other factors, apart from the association, on the competitiveness of exports was discussed and the conclusions from the research were presented.

数字经济如何影响城市出口产品质量——基于长三角地区数据的实证分析

本文采用空间计量模型,以我国长三角地区41个地级市2006—2015年的面板数据为研究样本,研究了数字经济对城市出口产品质量的影响。结果表明,城市间出口产品质量总体上存在空间正相关性,数字经济会显著提升城市出口产品质量,该结论在稳健性检验中仍成立。机制检验表明,数字经济通过促进技术创新,提高进口中间品质量,推动出口产品结构高端化,进而提升城市出口产品质量。异质性分析表明,数字经济对非私营企业出口产品质量有显著提升作用;相对于其他城市而言,数字经济对特大及以上城市出口产品质量的提升作用更明显。

企业对外直接投资如何影响出口产品质量

提高国际双向投资水平,推动产业竞争力提升是中国实现高水平对外开放和加快建设贸易强国的内在要求。本文依托全球价值链理论框架,基于2005-2013年中国工业企业和海关贸易微观匹配数据,深入探讨中国企业OFDI影响出口产品质量的效应和机制。匹配-双重差分和工具变量分析结果表明:中国企业进行OFDI显著提升了出口产品质量,结论通过了一系列稳健性检验。机理分析和机制检验表明,企业OFDI主要通过中间品进口效应、自主创新研发投入效应与逆向技术溢出效应推动出口产品质量升级,异质性分析显示,当投资主体为小规模企业、非国有企业、高管理效率企业、一般贸易企业以及高市场化程度地区企业时,OFDI会导致更大幅度的出口产品质量提升。本文为理解国际投资与国际贸易的互动关系提供了来自企业层面的新证据,为如何利用资本要素和投资举措促进贸易高质量发展提供了政策启示。

中国与RCEP其他成员国农产品出口竞争力比较研究——基于技术结构和出口技术复杂度的视角

从技术结构和出口技术复杂度视角,定量分析2009—2020年中国与RCEP其他成员国农产品出口的国际竞争力。研究表明,中国农产品以中高技术、中低技术农产品出口为主,技术结构呈现“两头小、中间大”的特征,且出口技术复杂度处于中上位置,整体表现出较强的出口竞争力。新西兰、澳大利亚以高技术、中高技术农产品出口为主,最具国际竞争力;日本、韩国以中高技术、高技术农产品出口为主,具有一定的竞争力;泰国和越南技术结构比中国更均衡多元,是中国农产品出口重要的潜在竞争国。应进一步提升中国农产品出口规模及国际竞争力,加深与东盟国家的农业贸易合作。

中国对东盟货物贸易出口波动的影响因素研究——基于改进的CMS模型实证分析

推动外贸稳规模、优结构,对推动高质量发展具有重要支撑作用。为了能够更好地研究贸易结构变化对中国出口的影响,文章对CMS模型进口需求结构效应和出口结构效应及两者细分效应的算法进行了调整,并运用改进的CMS模型对中国出口波动的影响因素进行实证分析。同时为了研究各影响因素在重要时期对中国出口的影响,文章将研究周期设定为2008—2022年,包括了全球金融危机和新冠疫情等重大事件。研究发现:(1)中国对东盟商品出口规模大幅增长,主要得益于进口需求规模扩大、出口整体竞争力提升,以及两者交互作用的整体交互效应。在结构上表现为进口需求结构效应显著促进出口,出口结构效应抑制出口的特征。(2)出口结构效应抑制出口主要是因为我国出口集中在出口效应较低的国家和商品上。(3)在东盟面临危机时,需求驱动的增长模式和本来就抑制出口的出口结构,对中国出口的负面影响更加明显。因此,为了促进中国对东盟出口平稳增长,需要推动传统产业转型升级和大力发展战略性新兴产业,来提高中国商品出口竞争力;充分利用好RCEP减税和原产地累积等规则挖掘商机;积极推进中国—东盟自由贸易区3.0版谈判,全面提升中国—东盟经贸制度型开放水平,在数字经济和绿色能源经济等领域加强与东盟的合作,培育双边贸易新的增长点。

上游行业进口中间品对企业出口韧性的影响——基于中国企业数据的分析

在中国出口形势日益严峻的背景下,如何增强企业出口韧性成为重要的课题。基于中国工业企业数据库和海关贸易数据库的匹配数据,以2008年金融危机为外生冲击,本文将企业出口韧性划分为抵抗力和恢复力两方面,研究上游行业进口中间品对企业出口韧性的影响路径。结果表明:上游行业进口中间品会显著增强下游企业出口韧性,该结论经过一系列检验仍然稳健;从作用机制来看,上游行业进口中间品可以通过出口升级效应和成本降低效应提高企业出口韧性。考虑企业异质性发现,上游行业进口中间品对企业出口韧性的促进作用在抵抗期对中小规模企业、国有企业的影响更显著;在经济抵抗期和恢复调整期,上游行业进口中间品对东部地区企业、加工贸易为主企业的出口韧性的促进作用更显著。此外,通过进一步研究发现,国内上游行业垄断和市场分割会削弱上游行业进口中间品对下游企业出口韧性的提升效果。

数字经济驱动体育用品制造业出口韧性的机制与效应

促进数字经济与体育产业深度融合、增强体育用品制造业出口韧性是实现体育产业可持续发展的重要途径。该研究系统梳理了数字经济影响体育用品制造业出口韧性的理论机制,选取2011—2021年我国30个省份的面板数据,基于固定效应模型、空间计量模型和中介效应模型,分析和探讨了数字经济对我国体育用品制造业出口韧性的影响。研究发现:数字经济显著提升了我国体育用品制造业出口韧性且存在空间溢出效应;体育产业结构升级在数字经济对我国体育用品制造业出口韧性的影响中存在中介效应;数字经济对我国体育用品制造业出口韧性的影响效应存在区域异质性,在经济发展水平更高的东部地区更加显著。基于此,建议加强数字基础与配套设施建设,重塑体育用品制造业出口韧性提升的全方位优势;加快体育产业结构升级,打造体育用品制造业出口韧性提升的一体化通道;立足区域数字经济发展差异,制定体育用品制造业出口韧性提升的针对性策略。

中国进出口贸易的影响因素分析

为分析影响中国进出口贸易的相关因素,利用Eviews8软件,选取货物进出口总额作为被解释变量,国内生产总值(GDP)和关税税收作为解释变量,建立了多元线性回归模型对2004—2020年的变量数据进行回归分析。通过对模型的分析、检验和修正确定最终模型,最后根据模型得出货物进出口总额与GDP同方向变动的结论。

中国出口“21世纪海上丝绸之路”沿线国家体育用品贸易效率及潜力的实证研究

基于2011—2021年中国出口“21世纪海上丝绸之路”沿线国家体育用品贸易的面板数据,运用随机前沿引力模型,测算出相关贸易效率及潜力,并从不同视角实证分析其影响因素。研究表明:①中国出口沿线国家体育用品贸易总额呈波动增长特征,主要出口产品为HS9506(体操、田径、乒乓球、泳池设备及其他),出口市场集中、产品结构单一。②人均GDP正向影响体育用品贸易的增长,贸易的地理距离负向影响体育用品出口规模的扩大。关于贸易效率及潜力,RCEP成员国与较大货柜码头吞吐量会促使其显著提升,而较低的政府运作效率和贸易自由度则相反。③我国与沿线国家体育用品贸易效率整体偏低,且具有明显的时间波动性和国别差异性。贸易潜力呈现出“上升-下降-上升”的特征,与我国出口沿线国家体育用品贸易额变化总体一致。

我国进出口商品结构对人民币汇率的影响

本文对2020-2023年我国每月进出口初级产品与工业制成品的比例变化,与每月币值较稳定国家的汇率变化进行回归分析,研究我国工业制成品进出口额与初级产品进出口额变化对我国主要贸易伙伴币种汇率的影响。研究发现,我国工业制成品出口额与初级产品出口额比值与对美元人民币中间汇率价呈正相关,其余因素影响并不显著。

Analysis on the Choice of Economic Development Mode for an Area with Good Ecological Environment——A Case Study of Economically Coordinated Region of Wuling Mountain

[Objective] The study aimed at choosing a suitable economic development mode for an area with good ecological environment. [Method] Taking the economically coordinated region of Wuling Mountain as an object, two economic development ways existing in the region, namely the traditional and low-carbon economic development mode, were compared from development prospects, policy support and so forth. [Result] Given the development prospects and policy support, it is necessary to choose low-carbon development mode in an area with good ecological environment. Moreover, developing clean energy industry and tourism industry, and changing traditional ideas are the main measures to develop low-carbon economy. [Conclusion] The research could provide references for the selection of economic development mode for an area with good ecological environment.

外资自由化与本土企业出口国内附加值率——基于中间品市场的新发现

本文基于上游中间品市场的动态变化视角在理论上分析了外资自由化对本土企业出口国内附加值率(DVAR)的影响,并利用2000—2013年中国工业企业数据和海关贸易数据,使用多期倍差法对理论假说进行检验。本文证实,外资自由化政策引致的外资流入将在短期内引起中间品市场竞争效应和长期中间品供给扩张效应:中间品市场竞争效应使得一部分本土企业原先的本地采购被挤出,进而转向进口市场,导致其出口DVAR下降;长期来看,外资流入产生的中间品需求刺激上游行业产能扩张和中间品价格下降,促使本土企业采取进口替代,进而抵消其对出口DVAR的负面影响。本文认为,外资对本土企业出口DVAR的动态效应,反映了外资流入冲击国内中间品市场、进而撬动上游行业扩张的动态进程,是“双循环”新发展格局的一种现实体现。

本地市场效应与出口优势——基于中国与37个国家的实证分析

利用中国与37个贸易伙伴国2007—2019年双边贸易数据,构建本地市场规模和出口的理论模型,检验内需扩大过程中本地市场效应的存在性及其对我国出口优势的影响。结果表明:我国货物贸易出口整体上存在显著的本地市场效应,内需的扩大有利于出口优势的提升;分类型产品中制成品的本地市场效应明显强于初级产品;分行业中14个细分行业有11个存在本地市场效应,且高技术行业的本地市场效应大于低技术行业。
