It provides useful formalized qualitative tools and quantitative tools for solving contradictory problems. In this paper, extension theory is introduced briefly and the primary applications of this theory and methods in bionic engineering research are discussed. The extension model of biological coupling functional system is established. In order to identify the primary and secondary sequencing of coupling elements, the Extension Analytic Hierarchy Process (EAHP) was adopted to analyze the contribution of each coupling element to the coupling functional system. Thus, the influence weight factor of each coupling element can be determined, so as to provide a new approach for solving primary and secondary sequencing problem of coupling elements in a quantitative way, and facilitate the subsequent bionic coupling study. 展开更多

On the basis of a questionnaire survey, 18 kinds of indexes which influence the controller workload were determined. By establishing the classical field and node field of the controller workload, the correlation function of the controller workload grade was obtained; then the correlation degree and estimated grade of controller workload were given. There exists synchronous growth in resources consumption and environment pollution in Kunming urbanization in recent years, which has led to the increasing pressure of urban sustainable development. Considering the environmental and social benefits in Kunming's water resources sustainable development, the authors provided a research finding the optimal urban population scale in different stages for urban water supply based on the sustainable development groundwater evaluating theoretical model. Through the research on the availability of construction site as well as the risk in underground space exploitation with the extenics theory method, we get a suitable partition map of land for urban construction and a risky partition map of underground space development. The results show that the appropriate population scale of Kunming will be less than 2.96×106 by 2020, and will reach (4.34--2.96)×106 optimized population scale after 2020 under the condition of economic-socially and environmentally sustainable development. It is significant to optimize urban construction land and use underground space under the condition of land resources sustainability in Kunming. 展开更多

Hydrophobic flocculation pretreatment was performed to assess its effect on the recovery of fine cuprite in sulfidation-flotation. The results of the micro-flotation experiment showed that cuprite recovery is related to the particle size, and that an excessive content of fine particles(<18 μm) impacted the recovery of coarse particles. When hydrophobic flocculation pretreatment was used, the recovery of fine cuprite in sulfidation-flotation increased from 60.3% to 86.3% under optimum conditions(pH 9.5; sodium oleate concentration, 2 × 10^(-4) mol×L^(-1); stirring time, 6 min; stirring speed, 1600 r×min^(-1)). The laser particle size analysis and optical microscopy results indicate that hydrophobic flocculation pretreatment effectively reduces the content of fine cuprite, and augments the apparent particle size in the pulp. We performed the Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek(DLVO) theory and extended DLVO theory calculations to further support the interpretation of the results. 展开更多
