It is found that entrepreneurial farmers have strong demand for formal financial credit, which is mainly production investment demand, but the formal financial credit constraint is obvious. Family size, cognition of loan procedures and conditions have a positive effect on entrepreneurial farmers' formal financial demand, while family per capita income, the distance between family location and the nearest formal financial organization, have negative influence. The relationship between householder'age and entrepreneurial farmers' successful formal loan presents inverted U shape, and educational level presents a negative correlation with successful loan. Compared with the traditional scale agricultural business, farmers engaged in other entrepreneurial businesses would get loan from formal financial institutions more difficultly. Understanding level of the loan procedures and conditions has a positive effect on successful loan. Compared with entrepreneurial farmers without employment, employed farmers are more likely to get loans. Statistically, householder' age and educational level, entrepreneurial business choices do not have significant effect on entrepreneurial households' formal financial credit demands. Family size, family per capital income, the distance between family location and the nearest formal financial organization, and the size of loan do not have significant influence on entrepreneurial households' successful loan. To get rid of formal financial credit constraints,we must implement the incremental reform of financial institutions, promote the formal finance of the villages and towns which can adapt to the farmers' financial demand, and create a good financial environment. Meanwhile,it is necessary to give impetus to innovation of financial management, products and services, reduce credit threshold, and adapt to the characteristics and demands of entrepreneurial households.展开更多

Farmers of Zhejiang Province are no exception. They turn to industrial workers and their income source has great changes. Wage income becomes their major source of income. Accordingly, farmers' consumption behavior has great changes. Apart from satisfying basic production and living demands, farmers start to pursue living quality and their life style tends to urbanization. Nevertheless, under the influence of rural physical environment, policies and systems, the existing consumption environment fails to follow farmers' urban lifestyle any more. In line with how to optimize rural consumption environment, improve farmers' consuming capacity, continue to expand farmers' consumption and promote urbanization development of rural areas, this paper presents pertinent countermeasures and recommendations.展开更多

On the basis of these, static and dynamic models are established to analyze the prevention mechanism for default risk in small amount credit. It is concluded that we must establish a restriction mechanism during operation of small amount credit as long as three values increase, namely, N (potential loss of bad credit record due to farmers' default), Q (probability of successful recovery by small amount credit institution), and S (cost of small amount credit institution punishing farmers after successful recovery). Finally, following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: perfect laws and regulations and credit reward and punishment mechanism for risk management of small amount credit; bring into play proper function of loan officer in small amount credit practice; widely promote rural "Group Credit Union" system.展开更多

Using the AHP model,we carry out the empirical analysis of three major hypotheses concerning the credit for farmers. The study demonstrates that the state's unclear definition of property rights of farmers and farmers' lack of collateral are the primary factor influencing the credit for farmers, followed by insufficient targeted financial and technical support for the farmers who are engaged in the agricultural sector affected by the nature; farmers do not really get the assistance for them to use the natural resources to develop the rural economy,so that the banks complicate the loan procedures and increase the requirements of loans for farmers in order to ensure the capital liquidity and safety, thus further deepening the plight of credit for farmers.展开更多

It is necessary for policymakers to make proper planning of sustainable agricultural development. Using a Pressure-State-Response (PSR) framework, we conducted surveys focused on farmer behavior toward agriculture and environmental protection in 2009 and 2011. The surveys indicated that farmer behavior was complex and contradictory, and caused some environmental effects. Therefore, we used normative landscape scenario method to develop two scenarios. Both scenarios emphasized on stable economic growth along with water quality improvement and presented good effects. A feedback survey was organized in 2013 to interpret farmers' perceptions of the alternative scenarios. The results indicate Scenario I is likely to be accepted by farmers; however, the beautiful rural landscape in Scenario.II represents what farmers want, and Scenario I or II can be achieved by changing farm behavior in the future. By logistic regression model analysis, increasing agriculture benefits and new technology popularization were key factors affecting farmer behavior. Relevant policy implications on farmers were proposed. This paper showed how important to understand farmer behavior and perceptions to agricultural development, and a description of the alternative scenarios and policy implications are meaningful for policymakers to manage nature resources.展开更多

Results show that understanding of farmers about cooperatives has a great influence on their behavior of participation in FFCs. Besides, educational level of householders and existing member scale of cooperatives also have significant influence on farmers' behavior of participation in cooperatives. Therefore, it is required to strengthen propaganda of cooperatives, deepen their understanding of cooperatives; cultivate new high quality farmers to provide talents for development of cooperatives; establish incentive mechanism to encourage farmers to participate in cooperatives.展开更多

It becomes an even important task as financial institutions have been experiencing serious competition and challenges. In this paper, the techniques used for credit scoring are summarized and classified and the new method—ensemble learning model is introduced. This article also discusses some problems in current study. It points out that changing the focus from static credit scoring to dynamic behavioral scoring and maximizing revenue by decreasing the Type I and Type II error are two issues in current study. It also suggested that more complex models cannot always been applied to actual situation. Therefore, how to use the assessment models widely and improve the prediction accuracy is the main task for future research.展开更多

In this paper, based on TPB( Theory of Planed Behavior),using factor analysis and regression analysis, empirical test on formation mechanism of farmer production consumption ecologization behavior transformation is conducted. Research results show that behavior attitude, subjective norm and control cognition of farmer production consumption ecologization have significantly positive influences on behavior response of farmer production consumption ecologization. Among them, power of behavior attitude is farmer's economic rationality and ecological rationality; power of subjective norm is system norm, government guidance and social pressure; power of control cognition is policy judgment and ability perception. Finally, for the analyzed conclusions, policy suggestions are proposed from many aspects, which could provide reference effect for guiding farmer production consumption ecologization and establishing rural eco-civilization.展开更多

This paper showed how important to understand farmer behavior and perceptions to agricultural development, and a description of the alternative scenarios and policy implications are meaningful for policymakers to manage nature resources.
文摘We select 204 panel data samples from fixed observation spots in China's rural areas(Nagqu County,Duilongdeqing County and Xigaze City in Tibet),and conduct systematic analysis of factors influencing farmer and herdsman's operating behavior in crop production, using regression estimation method of the linear model, mixed OLS model and the random effects model. The research shows that "the number of migrant workers","the amount of household labor forces","original value of fixed assets for production purpose at the end of year","whether having agricultural machinery or not" and other household endowment factors, have a positive impact on total planting area of households, and theoretically, the endowment effect of internal factors predicted is valid;the product of "average food price" and "whether selling or not" has conspicuous impact, and the empirical results confirm that in external factors, the substitution effect of price is greater than the income effect.

文摘Based on field research data of farmers in Zhejiang Province, the authors analyzed factors influencing farmers' participation in forest farmers cooperatives (hereafter referred to as FFCs) by the binary logistic regression model. Results show that understanding of farmers about cooperatives has a great influence on their behavior of participation in FFCs. Besides, educational level of householders and existing member scale of cooperatives also have significant influence on farmers' behavior of participation in cooperatives. Therefore, it is required to strengthen propaganda of cooperatives, deepen their understanding of cooperatives; cultivate new high quality farmers to provide talents for development of cooperatives; establish incentive mechanism to encourage farmers to participate in cooperatives.

文摘In order to explore the impact of changes in rural livelihoods in China on the environmental awareness and behavior of farmers, with the Huaibei Plain as an example,309 farmer households in Lingbi County in Huaibei Plain were surveyed. The variance analysis was used to determine the differences in environmental perceptions and pro-environmental behavior of farmers with different livelihoods.Structural equation models were used to analyze the relationships between livelihood type and environmental perception and behavior. The results show:(1)As the level of non-agricultural activities engaged in by farmers increases, their environmental perceptions shift, evidenced by a rise in both the Environmental Concern Index(ECI)and the Awareness of Pollution Hazards Index(APHI).However, there is a corresponding decrease in their Perception of Changes within the Agroecosystem(PCAE).(2)APHI caused by automobiles, pesticides, and fertilizers varies significantly among groups with different livelihood strategies(p<0.05).(3)Pro-environmental behavior(PEB),particularly in the realms of green consumption and waste management, correlates with the level of non-agriculturalization.Significant variations in these behaviors are observed among farmers with different livelihood strategies(p<0.05).(4)The livelihood strategies have significant direct impact on farmers’environmental perceptions(path coefficient 0.923 p<0.001)and a significant indirect impact on farmers’PEB(path coefficient 0.913 p<0.001).Thus,as farmers shift away from agriculture, their environmental perceptions and behaviors are changing.Diversifying livelihoods reduces dependence on natural resources and increases access to environmental knowledge. This diversification fosters greater awareness of environmental issues and a willingness of farmers to adopt environmentally friendly practices, positively impacting rural environment. Thus,by promoting diversified livelihoods,it is possible to create a powerful strategy for rural environmental governance.
文摘Personal credit scoring is the application of financial risk forecasting. Therefore, how to use the assessment models widely and improve the prediction accuracy is the main task for future research.

文摘To solve the arrearage problem that puzzled most of the mobile corporations, we propose an approach to forecast and evaluate the credits for mobile clients, devising a method that is of the coalescence of genetic algorithm and multidimensional distinguishing model. In the end of this paper, a result of a testing application in Zhuhai Branch, GMCC was provided. The precision of the forecasting and evaluation of the client’s credit is near 90%. This study is very significant to the mobile communication corporation at all levels. The popularization of the techniques and the result would produce great benefits of both society and economy.

文摘Ecological transformation of production consumption is an effective channel of establishing ecological agriculture mechanism. Finally, for the analyzed conclusions, policy suggestions are proposed from many aspects, which could provide reference effect for guiding farmer production consumption ecologization and establishing rural eco-civilization.
