In contrast to the nonlinear feedback scheme reported in the previous...In this paper we present an adaptive scheme to achieve lag synchronization for uncertain dynamical systems with time delays and unknown parameters. In contrast to the nonlinear feedback scheme reported in the previous literature, the proposed controller is a linear one which only involves simple feedback information from the drive system with signal popagation lags. Besides, the unknown parameters can also be identified via the proposed updating laws in spite of the existence of model delays and transmission lags, as long as the linear independence condition between the related function elements is satisfied. Two examples, i.e., the Mackey-Glass model with single delay and the Lorenz system with multiple delays, are employed to show the effectiveness of this approach. Some robustness issues are also discussed, which shows that the proposed scheme is quite robust in switching and noisy environment.展开更多

To reach a deep and clear understanding of the dynamics of such circuits described by delay differential equations, Hopf bifurcation in the circuit is analysed using the Hopf bifurcation theory and the central manifold theorem in this paper. Bifurcation points and bifurcation directions are derived in detail, which prove to be consistent with the previous bifurcation diagram. Numerical simulations and experimental results are given to verify the theoretical analysis. Hopf bifurcation analysis can explain and predict the periodical orbit (oscillation) in Chen circuit with direct time delay feedback. Bifurcation boundaries are derived using the Hopf bifurcation analysis, which will be helpful for determining the parameters in the stabilisation of the originally chaotic circuit.展开更多

For the purpose of the line of sight(LOS) angle and its rate converging to the desired values, the second-order LOS angle is considered as a double-integral system. Then, this paper utilizes FTC to design a controller which can guarantee the states of the double-integral system converging to the desired values. The role of the feedback intensity Pu played on controlling the pattern competition is equivalent to that of Pw, but opposite to that of Pv. The role of the feedback intensity Pu played on controlling the wavenumber and oscillation frequency of patterns is equivalent to that of Pv, but opposite to that of Pw. When the intensities of feedback are applied equally, changing the delayed time could not alter the competition among these modes, however, it can control the oscillation frequency of patterns. Such feedback is detailedly analyzed from the viewpoint of equivalent damping. Firstly, the primary resonance of the controlled HSLDS vibration isolator subjected to a harmonic force excitation is obtained based on the multiple scales method and further verified by numerical integration. The stability of the primary resonance is subsequently investigated. Then, the equivalent damping is defined to study the effects of feedback gain and time delay on primary resonance. The condition of jump avoidance is obtained with the purpose of eliminating the adverse effects induced by jumps. Finally, the force transmissibility of the controlled HSLDS vibration isolator is defined to evaluate its isolation performance. It is shown that an appropriate choice of feedback parameters can effectively suppress the force transmissibility in resonant region and reduce the resonance frequency. Furthermore, a wider vibration isolation frequency bandwidth can be achieved compared to the passive HSLDS vibration isolator.展开更多

Our results show that the two different feedback control schemes have different influences on the evolutionary speed. By adjusting the feedback parameters, the quantum-jump-based feedback control can induce speedup of the atomic evolution from an excited state, but the homodyne-based feedback control cannot change the evolutionary speed. Additionally, the QSLT for the whole dynamical process is explored. Under the quantum-jump-based feedback control, the QSLT displays oscillatory behaviors, which implies multiple speed-up and speed-down processes during the evolution. While, the homodyne-based feedback control can accelerate the speed-up process and improve the uniform speed in the uniform evolution process.展开更多

The regulator is designed to be an additive combination of a linear regulator part and a nonlinear feedback part. The linear regulator part solves the regulation problem independently which produces a quick output response but large oscillations. The nonlinear feedback part with well-tuned parameters is introduced to improve the transient performance by smoothing the oscillatory convergence. It is shown that the introduction of the nonlinear feedback part does not change the solvability conditions of the linear discrete-time output regulation problem. Control systems based on the feedback structure however have the disadvantage that they may become unstable during run-time due to changes in the control path—in this context including the listener’s ear. Especially when applied to active noise cancellation (ANC) headphones, the risk of instability is associated with the risk of harmful influence on the listener’s ear, which is exposed to the speaker in striking distance. This paper discusses several methods to enable the analysis of a feedback ANC system during run-time to immediately detect instability. Finally, a solution is proposed, which identifies the open loop behavior parametrically by means of an adaptive filter to subsequently evaluate the coefficients regarding stability.展开更多

Finally, a solution is proposed, which identifies the open loop behavior parametrically by means of an adaptive filter to subsequently evaluate the coefficients regarding stability.

文摘This paper investigates the chaotification problem of a stable continuous-time T S fuzzy system. A simple nonlinear state time-delay feedback controller is designed by parallel distributed compensation technique. Then, the asymptotically approximate relationship between the controlled continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with time-delay and a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system is established. Based on the discrete-time T-S fuzzy system, it proves that the chaos in the discrete- time T-S fuzzy system satisfies the Li-Yorke definition by choosing appropriate controller parameters via the revised Marotto theorem. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed chaotic anticontrol method is verified by a practical example.

文摘In this paper, an adaptive feedback controller is proposed to achieve the finite-time stability of dynamical system. In the proposed scheme, the feedback gain of the adaptive feedback controller is automatically tuned according to the adaptation law in order to stabilize unstable fixed points of the system. Based on the Lyapunov function method and the finite-time stability theory, we get a sufficient condition for the finite-time stability. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed finite-time controller.

文摘This paper extends the adaptive neural network (NN) control approaches to a class of unknown output feedback nonlinear time-delay systems. An adaptive output feedback NN tracking controller is designed by backstepping technique. NNs are used to approximate unknown functions dependent on time delay, Delay-dependent filters are introduced for state estimation. The domination method is used to deal with the smooth time-delay basis functions. The adaptive bounding technique is employed to estimate the upper bound of the NN approximation errors. Based on Lyapunov- Krasovskii functional, the semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop system is proved, The feasibility is investigated by two illustrative simulation examples.
