The study found that the use of Big Data can effectively improve the accuracy of demand forecasting, inventory management efficiency, optimize logistics costs, improve supplier management efficiency, enhance the overall level of supply chain management of enterprises, and propose innovative strategies for supply chain management of agricultural products enterprises based on this. Presently, the construction industry is ranked among the industries that are accountable for the global generation of solid waste and energy consumption, leading to detrimental environmental effects. Nonetheless, over the years, construction methods, technological innovations, and building practices have made considerable progress, influenced by a growing emphasis on sustainability, especially in energy conservation and in adopting the Industrialized Production layer of Construction 4.0 (i.e., modular prefabrication, 3D concrete printing, and BIM). The concept of Circular Economy (CE) has been identified as a potential solution to achieve sustainability in building construction through the design, construction, and end-of-life deconstruction processes that enhance the management of waste based on the framework that is related to reducing, reusing, and recycling. Moreover, information and data related to geolocation complement advanced digital technologies by providing a collaborative platform that supports the application of CE as a practical approach to sustainability. Thus, this study will provide a straightforward methodology for developing a model that integrates BIM and sustainable design with Circular Economy’s concept to enhance the sustainability of construction projects to minimize their waste based on various construction methods (i.e., conventional, modular, and 3D concrete printing). The proposed model interrelates tools and data for the evaluation and planning strategies for the construction and deconstruction waste (CDW) management at the design stage, including estimating the quantities of the wasted materials, quantifying the production rates of selected equipment for the waste handling (loading and hauling) at the various stages of a project as well their associated cost. The identification of relevant routines as well as the understanding of which factors affect business innovation is the main objective of this research, based on a survey applied in Portuguese companies and their experience shared in best practices guides. Conclusions highlighted 10 key innovation routines, reinforcing the idea that innovation must be supported through a systematic and sustained management process. Results also indicate that SMEs face greater difficulties in benefiting from the potential of innovation practices and collaboration may present opportunities to overcome their limited resources. It is important to understand innovation competition policy, because sever al kinds of innovation are important in the modern economy. How could such industries as software, semiconductors, and computers have been s o innovative despite historically weak patent protection? We argue that if innov ation is both sequential and complementary-as it certainly has been in those in dustries-competition can increase firms' future profits thus offsetting short- term dissipation of rents. A simple model also shows that in such a dynamic indu stry, patent protection may reduce overall innovation and social welfare. Considering its objective, this was a descriptive-correlational ...The present study aimed to examine the relationship of organizational intelligence with innovation management and career advancement in an organization. Considering its objective, this was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population included all high school managers in Zahedan at the year 2015. The sample contained 52 male managers and 51 female managers whom were selected through applying stratified random sampling method. To collect data, Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire, Innovation Management Inventory and Questionnaire of Career Advancement were used, the validity of which was assessed through applying the standpoint of a number of university professors and their reliability was obtained 0.74, 0.76, 0.84, respectively, using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Results indicated that considering managers’ perspectives, the status of organizational intelligence and career advancement were desirable;however, the status of innovation management was moderate. Moreover, organizational intelligence and its components were significantly and positively correlated with innovation management (r = 0.512, P < 0.01), and there was a significant and positive relationship between organizational intelligence and career advancement (r = 0.334, P < 0.01). Findings demonstrated that components of desire to change, spirit, unity and agreement, application of knowledge, performance pressure were significantly correlated to career advancement. However, components of strategic perspective and common fate were not significantly correlated with career advancement. Additionally, among the components of organizational intelligence, in the first step, application of knowledge and in the second step, desire to change were the best predicators of innovation management (which together could predict 28%). Application of knowledge was the only variable which entered the predictive model and predicted 16% of career advancement. Results of independent t-test indicated that no significant difference was found between male and female managers, considering their organizational intelligence, innovation management and career advancement.展开更多

Previous literature showed mixed results about the impact of CEOs’financial literacy(CFL)on small and medium-sized enterprises’(SMEs)innovation.This relationship can be motivated by relevant variables,which are miss...Previous literature showed mixed results about the impact of CEOs’financial literacy(CFL)on small and medium-sized enterprises’(SMEs)innovation.This relationship can be motivated by relevant variables,which are missing in the previous literature and make a difference as mediators.In this sense,based on the theoretical framework related to upper echelon theory and resource-based view,this study focuses on the mediating effect of risk-taking attitude and management control systems(MCS)varia-bles.Empirical data from 310 SMEs gathered using a qualitative research questionnaire are analyzed using structural equation modeling methodology.Specifically,estimations are carried out considering the partial least square method.Findings show that MCS and managers’risk attitudes fully mediate the relationship between financial literacy(FL)and innovation.Between these two mediating variables,the implementation of MCS stands out because it also enables the mediating effect of CEOs’risk-taking in the CFL–technological innovation relationship.As the results do not support the significant direct relationship between FL and risk attitude,they confirm an indirect effect through MCS.Furthermore,based on the study findings,SMEs’directors and owners,business associations,and public authorities can improve SMEs’technological innovation by implementing training programs and policies to foster CFL.They can also acknowledge the interdependency between organizational factors and individual characteristics to enhance SMEs’technological innovation.展开更多

文摘The 21 st century is an era of knowledge, know le dge is said to be particularly important. Knowledge and information have become the economy’s primary raw material and its most important outcome. Under increas ingly competitive pressure, many enterprises are examining how they can better m anage their knowledge. During the last years, another concept has gained increas ing interest: knowledge management. The emerging field of knowledge management a ddresses the broad processes of locating, organizing, transferring and more effi ciently using knowledge and expertise within an enterprise. An enterprise’s and its employees’ knowledge is regarded as the most important corporate capital in the arising global information society. Knowledge management therefore aims towa rds improving an enterprise’s ability to acquire, develop, preserve, distribute and use knowledge. This paper describes a conceptual model of knowledge manageme nt and innovation, focusing on analyzing the knowledge management and innovation process, trying to make knowledge more productive and create knowledge more eff iciently. In this paper, an integral and conceptual model of knowledge management and inno vation is presented first; then, the knowledge work process is analyzed, which i s conceptualized as a knowledge spiral; subsequently, knowledge management proce ss is conceptualized into knowledge development, knowledge acquisition, knowledg e transfer, knowledge sharing, knowledge utilization and knowledge evaluatio n, all of which can be conceptualized as a knowledge cycle; furthermore, the fac ilitating conditions for implementing knowledge management are analyzed; in the end, the input-output model of knowledge innovation is given as well as the mai n tools for assisting knowledge management are summarized.
文摘1. Introduction With the opening ceremony of the Gotthard Base Tunnel on 1 June 2016, a new world record was established: the commissioning of the longest railway tunnel in the world. Many challenges have been overcome and many technical innovations have been developed and considered in this project. As of 11 December 2016, the Gotthard Base Tunnel has been an integral part of the new timetable of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS), and is in full operation. With a total length of 57 km and a cruising speed of 200 km·h^-1 for passenger trains, the Gotthard Base Tunnel reduces the journey time through the Alps by 40 min, significantly reducing the distance between the south and north of Europe.
文摘Innovation is managed through the development of processes and routines, considered as critical for business success and value creation. The identification of relevant routines as well as the understanding of which factors affect business innovation is the main objective of this research, based on a survey applied in Portuguese companies and their experience shared in best practices guides. Conclusions highlighted 10 key innovation routines, reinforcing the idea that innovation must be supported through a systematic and sustained management process. Results also indicate that SMEs face greater difficulties in benefiting from the potential of innovation practices and collaboration may present opportunities to overcome their limited resources. Therefore, regardless of size, business activity, science and technology intensity or other factors influencing firms dynamic capabilities, innovation should be considered as a management imperative as it can influence not only the present but also the future of business success.

文摘As a main channel for the foreign economic cooperation of China nuclear industry,China Zhongyuan Engineering Corporation (CZEC) has been constantly engaged in technical modifications and management innovations in its exporting nuclear reactor projects.In the implementation of heavy water research reactor contract in Algeria,CZEC had established a complete and adequate design standards system in compliance with the international standards,and made significant modifications to the reference reactor in the aspects of reactor power and reactor safety,solved quite some technical issues which affected the reactor technical performance.The modifications and improvements enabled the technical parameters,safety features,reactor multipurpose application to attain to the advanced level in the world.In the 300 MWe PWR NPPs in Pakistan,safety features had been updated in line with upgrading regulatory requisites.The design philosophy and technology application demonstrated CZEC's creation and innovation on basis of constant safety enhancement of nuclear power projects.Efforts had also been made by CZEC in promoting China made equipment items and components exportation.

文摘Due to engineering technology and development costs,a considerable amount of proven oil and gas resources in China are difficult to develop,becoming reserves difficult to produce.Based on the successful development of some domestic oil and gas reserves difficult to recover,this article summarizes the"four in one"petroleum engineering synergetic management model to promote the effective development of these reserves.This model draws on the essence of management theories,such as system theory,cybernetics and synergetic theory,and proposes the development idea of value creating and sharing for this type of reserves.By adopting the new management method of mechanism synergy,speciality synergy,process synergy and industrial chain synergy,this model effectively overcomes the decentralization of management responsibility,different management objectives,great risks of engineering and technological innovation,and the large number of uncertain factors in project construction,and can stimulate the vitality and power of active coordination of project participants,to effectively realize the synergetic innovation of engineering technology and synergetic cost reduction of the whole chain,reduction of the balanced oil price of the project,and dispersion of the project investment risk.By adopting this model,a large proportion of difficult-to-produce reserves have been liberated,realizing the effective utilization of the difficult-to-produce oil and gas resources,and making the reserves an important supplement to ensure national energy security.

There exists a bottle neck in the transition from m iddle-level to international level group for Chinese companies. While the gener a l principles behind wise competition policy are well understood, their applicati on in particular industries and particular cases calls for careful analytical th inking. That thinking often includes economics. Innovation competition policy ca n be analyzed using the same general principles as other parts of competition po licy. It is important to understand innovation competition policy, because sever al kinds of innovation are important in the modern economy. How could such industries as software, semiconductors, and computers have been s o innovative despite historically weak patent protection? We argue that if innov ation is both sequential and complementary-as it certainly has been in those in dustries-competition can increase firms' future profits thus offsetting short- term dissipation of rents. A simple model also shows that in such a dynamic indu stry, patent protection may reduce overall innovation and social welfare. Standa rd arguments would predict that R&D intensity and productivity should have incre ased among patenting firms.
文摘The present study aimed to examine the relationship of organizational intelligence with innovation management and career advancement in an organization. Considering its objective, this was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population included all high school managers in Zahedan at the year 2015. The sample contained 52 male managers and 51 female managers whom were selected through applying stratified random sampling method. To collect data, Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire, Innovation Management Inventory and Questionnaire of Career Advancement were used, the validity of which was assessed through applying the standpoint of a number of university professors and their reliability was obtained 0.74, 0.76, 0.84, respectively, using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Results indicated that considering managers’ perspectives, the status of organizational intelligence and career advancement were desirable;however, the status of innovation management was moderate. Moreover, organizational intelligence and its components were significantly and positively correlated with innovation management (r = 0.512, P < 0.01), and there was a significant and positive relationship between organizational intelligence and career advancement (r = 0.334, P < 0.01). Findings demonstrated that components of desire to change, spirit, unity and agreement, application of knowledge, performance pressure were significantly correlated to career advancement. However, components of strategic perspective and common fate were not significantly correlated with career advancement. Additionally, among the components of organizational intelligence, in the first step, application of knowledge and in the second step, desire to change were the best predicators of innovation management (which together could predict 28%). Application of knowledge was the only variable which entered the predictive model and predicted 16% of career advancement. Results of independent t-test indicated that no significant difference was found between male and female managers, considering their organizational intelligence, innovation management and career advancement.

文摘Previous literature showed mixed results about the impact of CEOs’financial literacy(CFL)on small and medium-sized enterprises’(SMEs)innovation.This relationship can be motivated by relevant variables,which are missing in the previous literature and make a difference as mediators.In this sense,based on the theoretical framework related to upper echelon theory and resource-based view,this study focuses on the mediating effect of risk-taking attitude and management control systems(MCS)varia-bles.Empirical data from 310 SMEs gathered using a qualitative research questionnaire are analyzed using structural equation modeling methodology.Specifically,estimations are carried out considering the partial least square method.Findings show that MCS and managers’risk attitudes fully mediate the relationship between financial literacy(FL)and innovation.Between these two mediating variables,the implementation of MCS stands out because it also enables the mediating effect of CEOs’risk-taking in the CFL–technological innovation relationship.As the results do not support the significant direct relationship between FL and risk attitude,they confirm an indirect effect through MCS.Furthermore,based on the study findings,SMEs’directors and owners,business associations,and public authorities can improve SMEs’technological innovation by implementing training programs and policies to foster CFL.They can also acknowledge the interdependency between organizational factors and individual characteristics to enhance SMEs’technological innovation.
