A compact model for the drain current noise of 40-nm MOSFET is proposed through the noise analysis. This model fully describes three kinds of main physical sources that determine the noise mechanism of 40-nm MOSFET, i.e., intrinsic drain current noise, thermal noise induced by the gate parasitic resistance, and coupling thermal noise induced by substrate parasitic effect. The accuracy of the proposed model is verified by noise measurements, and the intrinsic drain current noise is proved to be the suppressed shot noise, and with the decrease of the gate voltage, the suppressed degree gradually decreases until it vanishes. The most important findings of the bias non-conservative nature of noise mechanism of 40-nm n-MOSFET are as follows.(i) In the strong inversion region, the suppressed shot noise is weakly affected by the thermal noise of gate parasitic resistance. Therefore, one can empirically model the channel excess noise as being like the suppressed shot noise.(ii) In the middle inversion region, it is almost full of shot noise.(iii) In the weak inversion region, the thermal noise is strongly frequency-dependent, which is almost controlled by the capacitive coupling of substrate parasitic resistance. Measurement results over a wide temperature range demonstrate that the thermal noise of 40-nm n-MOSFET exists in a region from the weak to strong inversion, contrary to the predictions of suppressed shot noise model only suitable for the strong inversion and middle inversion region. These new findings of the noise mechanism of 40-nm n-MOSFET are very beneficial for its applications in ultra low-voltage and low-power RF, such as novel device electronic structure optimization, integrated circuit design and process technology evaluation.展开更多

The experimental results show that drain currents are thermally activated following the Meyer Neldel rule, which can be explained by the multiple-trapping process. Moreover, the field effect electron mobility firstly increases, and then decreases with the increase of temperature, while the threshold voltage decreases with increasing the temperature. The activation energy and the density of localized gap states are extracted. A noticeable increase in the density of localized states is observed at the higher temperatures.展开更多

The results show that the amplitude distribution of hits is not well centralized around 50 d B, and that some hits with large amplitudes, usually larger than 70 d B, occur in the early stages of each test, which is different from the findings from static and low-loading-rate tests. Furthermore, the dominant frequency range of the recorded acoustic emission waveforms is between 300 k Hz and 500 k Hz, and frequency components higher than 500 k Hz are not significant. The hit with the largest values of amplitude, counts, signal strength, and absolute energy in each test, displays a waveform with similar frequency characteristics and greater correlation with the waveform obtained from the elastic input bar of the split Hopkinson pressure bar system compared with the waveforms of the other hits. This indicates that the hit with the largest values of amplitude, counts, signal strength, and absolute energy is generated by elastic wave propagation instead of fracture within the rock specimen.展开更多

Based on the circuit architecture, both classifications and comparisons are made. A new robust CMOS phase frequency detector for a high speed and low jitter charge pump phrase-locked loop (PLL) is designed. The proposed PFD consists of two rising-edge triggered dynamic D flip-flops, two positive-edge detectors and delaying units and two OR gates. It adopts two reset mechanisms to avoid the LIP and DN signals to be logic-1 simultaneously. Thus, any current mismatch of the charge pump circuit will not worsen the performance of the PLL. Furthermore, it has hardly any dead-zone phenomenon in phase characteristic. Simulations with ADS are performed based on a TSMC 0. 18-μm CMOS process with a 1.8-V supply voltage. According to the theoretical analyses and simulation results, the proposed PFD shows a satisfactory performance with a high operation frequency (≈ 1 GHz), a wide phase-detection range [ ± 2π], a near zero dead-zone ( 〈 0. 1 ps), high reliability, low phase jitter, low power consumption ( ≈100 μW) and small circuit complexity.展开更多

The rolling element bearing IRF can be accurately estimated according to the instantaneous fault characteristic frequency(IFCF). However, in an environment with a low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), e.g., an incipient fault or function at a low speed, the signal contains strong background noise that seriously affects the effectiveness of the aforementioned method. An algorithm of signal preprocessing based on empirical mode decomposition(EMD) and wavelet shrinkage was proposed in this work. Compared with EMD denoising by the cross-correlation coefficient and kurtosis(CCK) criterion, the method of EMD soft-thresholding(ST) denoising can ensure the integrity of the signal, improve the SNR, and highlight fault features. The effectiveness of the algorithm for rolling element bearing IRF estimation by EMD ST denoising and the IFCF was validated by both simulated and experimental bearing vibration signals at a low SNR.展开更多

With the development of aircraft hydraulic system to high pressure, high speed and high power ratio, the fluid-structure interaction vibration mechanism of hydraulic pipeline is more complex and the influence of friction coupling on vibration cannot be ignored. The fluid-structure interaction of hydraulic pipeline will lead to system vibration, lower reliability of system operation and even pipeline rupture. Taking a hydraulic pipeline of C919 aircraft wingtip as the research object,a 14-equation model of fluid-structure interaction vibration considering friction coupling effect is established in this paper. The effects of friction and fluid parameters on the pipeline fluid-structure interaction vibration characteristics are studied and verified by experiments. The research results will provide theoretical guidance for the analysis of the pipeline fluid-structure interaction vibration and have important theoretical significance and great engineering value for promoting the localization process of large aircraft.展开更多

We are interested in oscillation of the well level when we make Slug test. Both the permeation parameters and frequency parameters, i.e., natural period and damping coefficients of well aquifer, have been calculated on the basis of vibration theory by means of the oscillation curves. Not only this has given a new method, but also the different response of well level to seismic waves has been explained by it in theory.展开更多

However, this is not always true. In comparison with traditional excitation characteristics, this paper introduces the power frequency excitation characteristic of the iron core, which contains no harmonics. The power frequency excitation characteristic of iron core has been obtained by Elector Magnetic Transient Program, resulting in discrete voltage and current pairs. Extensive simulations are carried out to analyse the effect of power frequency excitation characteristic on potential transformer ferroresonance. A detailed analysis of simulation results demonstrates that with power frequency excitation characteristic of iron core inclusion at certain excitation voltage the ferroresonance may happen, conversely it may not happen with traditional excitation characteristic inclusion.展开更多

In the inffa-gravity wave (IGW) band, the power spectra of velocity (u, v, w) are universal functions with respect to characteristic frequencies, which correspond to the peak fre- quencies of the dissipation spectrum (PFDS). This suggests that high-frequency internal waves in the IGW band have similar dynamical characteristics. In addition, the evolution of these characteristic frequencies is explored and its highest value is 8.8 cph (cycles per hour, 1 cph=2.778× 10-3 Hz).展开更多

Moreover, the field effect electron mobility firstly increases, and then decreases with the increase of temperature, while the threshold voltage decreases with increasing the temperature. The activation energy and the density of localized gap states are extracted. A noticeable increase in the density of localized states is observed at the higher temperatures.

文摘Due to the material problems and force majeure factors, the leakage will be occurred on the liquid-filled pipe resulting in waste of resources, environmental pollution and even endangering safety.Acoustic wave detection technology is widely used in buried pipeline leak detection, this technology mainly uses the wave(n=0,s=1)in the pipeline acoustic wave to locate the leak. When the leakage acoustic signal propagates along the liquid-filled pipe, the frequency dispersion characteristics can be obtained by wavelet decomposition. And there is a time delay(time difference)value between the leaky acoustic signals collected by the sensors at both ends of the leak. The outputs show that the results obtained by wavelet decomposition are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results.Based on the obtained dispersion relation, the time delay values at different characteristic frequencies are analyzed by the cross-correlation method, and the leak location accuracy is discussed. This research content provides theoretical support and engineering application guidance for pipe leakage location technology.

文摘Acoustic emission tests were performed using a split Hopkinson pressure bar system(SHPB) on 50-mm-diameter bars of granite, limestone, sandstone and skarn. This indicates that the hit with the largest values of amplitude, counts, signal strength, and absolute energy is generated by elastic wave propagation instead of fracture within the rock specimen.

文摘Cavity flow oscillations in the axisymmetric cavity are critical to the operating efficiency of self-excited pulsed waterjets, which are widely employed in many practical applications. In this study, the behaviors of a turbulent flow in axisymmetric cavities causing cavity flow oscillations are investigated based on wall pressure characteristics.Experiments are performed using four Helmholtz nozzles with varying length-to-radius ratios at flow velocities of 20–80 m/s.Three orders of hydrodynamic modes in axisymmetric cavity are obtained through the spectral analysis of wall pressure.Based on the experimental results, the empirical coefficient of Rossiter’s formula is modified, and the values of the parameter phase lag and the ratio of convection velocity to free stream velocity are obtained as 0.061 and 0.511,respectively.In addition, the spectral peak with a relatively constant frequency shows that the flow-acoustic resonance is excited significantly.A modified model is introduced based on the fluidic networks to predict the lockon frequency. The results obtained can provide a basis for the structural optimization of the nozzle to improve the performance of self-excited pulsed waterjets.
文摘In order to improve the performance of the existing phase frequency detectors (PFDs), a systematical analysis of the existing PFDs is presented. According to the theoretical analyses and simulation results, the proposed PFD shows a satisfactory performance with a high operation frequency (≈ 1 GHz), a wide phase-detection range [ ± 2π], a near zero dead-zone ( 〈 0. 1 ps), high reliability, low phase jitter, low power consumption ( ≈100 μW) and small circuit complexity.

文摘The accurate estimation of the rolling element bearing instantaneous rotational frequency(IRF) is the key capability of the order tracking method based on time-frequency analysis. The effectiveness of the algorithm for rolling element bearing IRF estimation by EMD ST denoising and the IFCF was validated by both simulated and experimental bearing vibration signals at a low SNR.

文摘As the power transmission system of an aircraft,a hydraulic pipeline system is equivalent to the " blood vessel" of the aircraft. The research results will provide theoretical guidance for the analysis of the pipeline fluid-structure interaction vibration and have important theoretical significance and great engineering value for promoting the localization process of large aircraft.
文摘The permeation parameters have been calculated by forefathers on the basis of permeation theory by means of the Slug test (Yin, Zheng, 1992) and the restoration curves of well level. We are interested in oscillation of the well level when we make Slug test. Both the permeation parameters and frequency parameters, i.e., natural period and damping coefficients of well aquifer, have been calculated on the basis of vibration theory by means of the oscillation curves. Not only this has given a new method, but also the different response of well level to seismic waves has been explained by it in theory.
文摘In most earlier ferroresonance studies the traditional excitation characteristic of iron core, in which the traditional excitation characteristic contains harmonic voltages or currents, has been used as if it were made up of pure fundamental voltage or current. A detailed analysis of simulation results demonstrates that with power frequency excitation characteristic of iron core inclusion at certain excitation voltage the ferroresonance may happen, conversely it may not happen with traditional excitation characteristic inclusion.

文摘Using in situ measurement data from May-June, 1998, and data from the Asian seas international acoustics experiment (ASIAEX) from 2001 in the South China Sea (SCS), the spectral density function and the dissipa- tion spectrum function are estimated. In addition, the evolution of these characteristic frequencies is explored and its highest value is 8.8 cph (cycles per hour, 1 cph=2.778× 10-3 Hz).
