Study on the Plant Furnishings in Urban Wetland Park——A Case Study of Yuehai National Wetland Park in Yinchuan City of China

Plant furnishings in wetland were explored,in terms of plant selection,mass planting of water plants was proposed for landscaping of water surface,combination of trees,shrubs and grasses for the land.As far as plant furnishing techniques are concerned,color landscape creation of wetland plants was stressed,and combined application of arbors,shrubs and grasses advocated for creating rich spatial hierarchies of terrestrial landscapes.Taking Yuehai National Wetland Park in Yinchuan City for example,general situation and plant furnishings of the park were introduced,and problems proposed as "uninteresting water plant landscapes,simple terrestrial plant selection and furnishing".On this basis,plant selection and furnishing in the park was studied to create diversified bio-landscape sequences and also rich landscape types.

Domestic Living Space Furnishings, Culture Identity, and Media

Consumption is an active process that engages the social world for individuals to make use of certain products. For many, the living room is the locus of product use, social activities, cultural values, and the personal narrative of the people who live in it. Consumers engage with their furniture in order for it to function effectively for them： It is thus used to furnish both the home and the self as well. Creating a certain living space with a particular use of furniture and interior decoration is the precise way in which the resident forms its arrangements, and builds a relationship with the surrounding objects in that living space. This activity, I argue, positions the residents in the process of presenting their personality characteristics and cultural identity. The Ethnographic approach is most appropriate methodology for research into such a personal area： the living room within the domestic environment. The topic of this research falls between different fields of studies including consumerism and media. This research reviews the influence of advertising in magazines and furniture shops on the meaning of living space design and how that encourages higher levels of consumption.

A Review on Sustainable Product Design, Marketing Strategies and Conscious Consumption of Bamboo Lifestyle Products

Conscious consumption is a trend that is here to stay since consumers are becoming more aware of their purchasing decision and its impact on their health & environment. To sustain in the market on the move towards sustainability and meet the demands, companies need to re-examine their footprints and incorporate green practices in their products and organization. Using eco-friendly material & processes is one of the remedies to come up with this, and bamboo is one of the most versatile, green and renewable natural resources on planet earth. Traditionally bamboo has been exploited to a large extent but cutting-edge options available for bamboo are still limited and have a scope of indulging fully in the lifestyle of people in India. The global market size of bamboo was valued at UED 53.28 billion in 2020, and it is expected to grow at compound annual growth rate of 5.7% from 2022 to 2028. There is increasing demand for sustainable construction, and furniture and handicraft products also have considerable weightage. Manny brands and craft clusters of bamboo are realizing and promoting this green quotient of bamboo to the market to attract the eco-conscious audience and trying to cope up with the advancement of sustainability, like certifications of being a green organisation. Despite the exceptional qualities of bamboo, it is considered as a marginalized material due to low production rate, high competition with the non-eco-friendly or cheaper alternatives, aesthetics and marketing gaps. There is a gap between willingness to purchase and an actual purchase when it comes to the sustainable products and marketing plays a major role in conversions. The main purpose of the research is to study and understand the product, craft, design, production processes and marketing practices of bamboo lifestyle products and how conscious consumption patterns influence the bamboo products and the industry in relevance to the sustainability. Exploratory research method was applied with the literature survey and reviewing of the research papers from the peer reviewed journals. They were classified and reviewed based on the areas relevant to the bamboo products. The research outcome revealed the research gaps and the results were discussed and presented with the perspectives of product design, conscious consumption and marketing strategies in relevant to the sustainability of bamboo lifestyle products.

Investigation and Analysis of Plant Landscape during Autumn and Winter in Kunming City

Through categorizing common autumn and winter garden plants with high ornamental value in Kunming City, plant furnishing patterns to highlight the autumn and winter landscape features of this city are proposed by combining with the application cases, and suggestions are given to improve plant landscape in Kunming City.

Study on the Plant Furnishing for Garden Landscaping

With the social development and the improvement of living standards, higher demands have been proposed on dwelling environment, plant furnishing in garden landscaping can not only beautify the environment, satisfy the aesthetic requirements of people, but also generate considerable ecological and social benefits. Concept of indigenous plant and ecological landscape was introduced.Ecological role of indigenous plants in urban ecological landscape design was analyzed,visual beauty,beautiful seasonal aspect,fragrance and charm of these plants were stressed.Moreover,the role of indigenous plants in creating landscape spaces,landscapes of time sequence and also regional landscapes was enhanced,and it was proposed that application of indigenous plants accorded with requirements of the conservation-minded ecological landscape construction.Scientific selection of indigenous plants for the ecological landscape design was discussed,then the following points stressed:right trees should be selected for right land according to the actual eco-environment conditions;properties and functional needs of urban green spaces satisfied;indigenous plants with outstanding landscape ecological attributes selected;historical and cultural features of the city highlighted.Finally,attentions in the configuration of indigenous plants were given as(a) maintaining species diversity and simulating natural community structure;(b) coordinating relationship among plants according to the principle of "mutualism",focusing on color combination and changeful seasonal aspects.

The New Political and Cultural District of Hefei City is a typical case of the newly and quickly constructed areas with a high starting point in China in recent years, in which traditional culture and the spirit of age integrate harmoniously. Pioneering Park is a theme park with the pioneering spirit as the subject, which successfully absorbs the artistic method of traditional natural garden layout and combines the modern landscape design concept with plant landscaping as the dominant part, utilizes the recreational environment integrating with national style and modern concept to represent the pioneering spirit of the age.

Landscape Effect Assessment of the Greening Mode around Overpasses in the Urban Area of Kunming City

Based on investigating the present greening situation of 18 overpasses in the urban area of Kunming City,4 typical plant furnishing modes for overpass were concluded,that is,Type Ⅰ,which was the multi-layered plant disposition pattern composed of all arbor,shrub and herbaceous plant species;TypeⅡ,which was mainly composed of shrub and herbaceous species with a 2-layered structure;Type Ⅲ was the turf grass pattern with sparsely disposed trees;Type Ⅳ,which was the simple groundcover greening pattern.1 or 2 typical overpasses from each type were sampled separately for evaluating the landscape effects of the typical green space around each type of overpass by adopting AHP model,and the results showed that the evaluated landscape effect of Type Ⅰ was 'good',that of Type Ⅱ was 'moderate',that of Type Ⅲ was 'moderate to good',and that of Type Ⅳ was 'poor'.

Application of Aromatic Plants in Landscape Construction of Hainan Island

Significance of aromatic plants for the landscape construction on Hainan Island was analyzed from 3 perspectives:urgent needs of urban construction,therapeutic effects of plants,and economical efficiency,and 3 major characteristics of aromatic plants were summarized as:ornamental effects,aromatic properties and health care capacity.Application forms and ranges of aromatic plants in landscape design were introduced,and application principles were given as below:A."right species for right land",paying attention to the consistency between biological characteristics and environment;B.focusing on functions of plants,highlighting the harmony between plant landscapes and environment;C.in a relative high density,highlighting landscape layer of aromatic plants;D.proper combinations,highlighting primary fragrances.All of the above can be summarized as "right species for right land,focusing on plant functions,proper combinations,and targeted on landscape effects".The authors proposed that design modes of aromatic plant landscapes fit for Hailan Island should be refined to apply the theories of constructing aromatic city into the detailed planning.

Distribution, selling, purchasing and other aspects of IKEA in the global home furnishing market were analyzed, and it was proposed that IKEA as a transnational enterprise showed humanization in all sections. Successful experience of IKEA star product——"BILLY" was studied, and on this basis, enlightenment of IKEA concept on modern design personnel was summarized as well as its referential significance for the cultivation mode of design personnel. Cultivation of the design personnel's practical ability and comprehensive abilitys was stressed, in addition, it was highlighted that education must be optimized, cultivation model innovated, modern design education promoted, design personnel cultivated, so as to finally improve comprehensive abilities of Chinese design personnel.

Current Plant Landscaping in Southern Gardens and Suggestions for the Optimized Configuration

Abundant lands of China such as Suzhou, Hangzhou, Sichuan and Chongqing are all located in the basin of the Yangtze River, and subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest belt, enjoy mild climate, sufficient rainfall, rich ornamental plant resources and diversifi ed landscaping techniques. In the long-term landscaping practices, plant furnishing arts characterized by diversifi ed layer division, elegant styles, delicate and vivid images have been formed, but are still limited in combination of plant species and selection of varieties. In accordance with personal experience in plant landscaping in recent years, the author provided a few suggestions for the optimized confi guration of plant landscapes in southern regions.

By interpreting the definition of "soft decoration",this study puts forward that such a decoration way can keep the weaknesses of a house unexposed,highlight the smart designs,re-divide and recombine interior spaces and fill empty spaces,so that deficiencies of hard decoration in a house can be made up,by playing the role of soft decoration in refining interior spaces and improving their functions.Moreover,it is proposed that "devoting less in hard decoration but more in soft decoration" will be a new trend of interior decoration.
