In a two-stage supply chain composed of one supplier and one retailer,the supply chain coordination mechanism in a fuzzy continuous demand environment is researched.A positive triangular fuzzy number is used to model the external market demand.Using the method of fuzzy cut sets theory,both fuzzy decentralized and centralized decision-making processes are analyzed,and another model of fuzzy return contract is proposed to help coordinate such supply chain.It is shown that in fuzzy environment there exists a unique solution of the retailer's optimal order quantity,the double marginalization problem can be solved by providing different tactics for wholesale pricing and return pricing,and the fuzzy expected profit of each actor can be expected to improve in the return contract.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the models and the solution-seeking process. 展开更多

In order to solve the problem of weak power performance of vehicle equipped with continuously variable transmission(CVT) system working under transient operating conditions, a new CVT equipped with planetary gear mechanism and flywheel was researched, a design method of transmission parameter optimization was proposed, and the comprehensive matching control strategy was established for the new transmission system. Fuzzy controllers for throttle opening and CVT speed ratio were designed, and power performance and fuel economy of both vehicles respectively equipped with conventional CVT system and new transmission system wrere compared and analyzed by simulation. The results show that power performance and fuel economy of the vehicle equipped with new transmission system are better than that equipped with conventional CVT, thus the rationality of the parameter design method and control algorithm are verified. 展开更多

More specifically, using both properties of fuzzy topological spaces and those of fuzzy subhypergroups, we define the notions of lower (upper) fuzzy topological subhypergroups of a hypergroup endowed with a fuzzy topology. In this paper,the ideas of universal logic is introduced into fuzzy systems.After giving the definitions of the softened fuzzy reasoning models based on Schweizer-Sklar t-norms and Schweizer-Sklar implications,i.e.,α-models andβ-models,we give the sufficient and necessary conditions for these models to be continuous,and discuss the continuity of some commonly used models.We also prove that when anα-model or aβ-model is used as a fuzzy controller,it has universal property with respect to function approximation.The results we obtained show thatα-models andβ-models are more flexible than the existing models in applications. 展开更多

Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to deal with the stabilization of the continuous Takagi Sugeno(TS)fuzzy models using their discretized forms based on the decay rate performance approach.Design/methodology/approach–This approach is structured as follows:first,a discrete model is obtained from the discretization of the continuous TS fuzzy model.The discretized model is obtained from the Euler approximation method which is used for several orders.Second,based on the decay rate stabilization conditions,the gains of a non-PDC control law ensuring the stabilization of the discrete model are determined.Third by keeping the values of the gains,the authors determine the values of the performance criterion and the authors check by simulation the stability of the continuous TS fuzzy models through the zero order hold.Findings–The proposed idea lead to compare the performance continuous stability results with the literature.The comparison is,also,taken between the quadratic and non-quadratic cases.Originality/value–Therefore,the originality of this paper consists in the improvement of the continuous fuzzy models by using their discretized models.In this case,the effect of the discretization step on the performances of the continuous TS fuzzy models is studied.The usefulness of this approach is shown through two examples. 展开更多
