For CMORPH data correction,the probability density function( PDF) matching method is adopted,during which the GAMMA function fitting is utilized,and the generalized variational merging based on non-Gaussian model is used to merge corrected CMORPH precipitation data and station ground observation precipitation data. Meanwhile,we carry out an experiment on CMORPH precipitation data correction and the merging of multisource precipitation data based on non-Gaussian model. By measuring the structural similarity between the merged field and the reference field,we get a merging method that can better retain useful " outliers" which represent weather phenomena. The tracked object is the statistical information of a given target probability density function (PDF), rather than a deterministic signal. Following B-spline approximation to the integrated performance function, the concerned problem is transferred into the tracking of given weights. Different from the previous related works, the time delay T-S fuzzy models with the exogenous disturbances are applied to identify the nonlinear weighting dynamics. Meanwhile, the generalized PID controller structure and the improved convex linear matrix inequalities (LMI) algorithms are proposed to fulfil the tracking problem. Furthermore, in order to enhance the robust performance, the peak-to-peak measure index is applied to optimize the tracking performance. Simulations are given to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.展开更多

Here, we will consider line broadening due to particle size and strain which are the other factors affecting line broadening in a diffraction profile. When line broadening in a diffraction profile is due to particle size and strain, the theoretical model of the sample under study is either a Gaussian or a Cauchy function or a combination of these functions, e.g. Voigt and Pseudovoigt functions. Although the overall nature of these functions can be determined by Mitra’s R(x) test and the Pearson and Hartley x?test, details of a predicted model will be lacking. Development of a mathematical model to predict various parameters before embarking upon the actual experiment would enable correction of significant sources of error prior to calculations. Therefore, in this study, predictors of integral width, Fourier Transform, Second and Fourth Moment and Fourth Cumulant of samples represented by Gauss, Cauchy, Voigt and Pseudovoigt functions have been worked out. An additional parameter, the coefficient of excess, which is the ratio of the Fourth Moment to three times the square of the Second Moment, has been proposed. For a Gaussian profile the coefficient of excess is one, whereas for Cauchy distributions, it is a function of the lattice variable. This parameter can also be used for determining the type of distribution present in aggregates of distorted crystallites. Programs used to define the crystal structure of materials need to take this parameter into consideration.展开更多
The performance of two models,Jam and Baig,based on the modified version of Gaussian distribution function in estimating the daily total of global solar radiation and its distribution through the hours of the day from...The performance of two models,Jam and Baig,based on the modified version of Gaussian distribution function in estimating the daily total of global solar radiation and its distribution through the hours of the day from sunrise to sunset al any clear day is evaluated with our own measured data in the period from June 1992 to May 1993 in Qena Egypt The results show a high relative deviation of calculated values from measured ones,especially for Jain model,in the most hours of the day,except for those near to local noon.This misfit behavior is quite obvious in the early morning and late afternoon A new approach has been proposed in this paper to estimate the daily and hourly global solar radiation This model performs with very high accuracy on the recorded data in our region.The validity of this approach was verified with new measurements in some clear days in June and August 1994.The resultant very low relative deviation of the calculated values of global solar radiation from the measured ones confirms the high performance of the approach proposed in this work展开更多

We study properties of hadrons in the O(4) linear σ model, where we take into account fluctuations of mesons around their mean field values using the Gaussian functional (GF) method. In the GF method we calculate...We study properties of hadrons in the O(4) linear σ model, where we take into account fluctuations of mesons around their mean field values using the Gaussian functional (GF) method. In the GF method we calculate dressed σ and π masses, where we include the effect of fluctuations of mesons to find a better ground state wave function than the mean field approximation. Then we solve the Bethe-Salpeter equations and calculate physical σ and π masses. We recover the Nambu-Goldstone theorem for the physical pion mass to be zero in the chiral limit. The σ meson is a strongly correlated meson-meson state, and seems to have a two meson composite structure. We calculate σ and π masses as functions of temperature for both the chiral limit and explicit chiral symmetry breaking case. We get similar behaviors for the physical σ and π masses as the case of the mean field approximation, but the coupling constants are much larger than the values of the case of the mean field approximation.展开更多
