And then more than 80 sets of numerical calculations and six sets of disc fatigue tests are completed. The results show that when the film thickness ratio λ 〈1.6, frictional coefficient μ is drastically decreased as λ. rises; Thereafter it decreases smoothly until λ=4.5. When λ〉4.5, however, it goes up again with λ, which indicates that the excessive film thickness ratio will deteriorate gearing contact fatigue strength. At the end, the formulae for determining the frictional coefficients are formed.展开更多

However, this linear model cannot correctly describe the energy transfer process of collision that often occurs in gear system. Focus on the contact-impact events, this paper proposes an improved gear contact force model for dynamic analysis in helical gear transmission system. In this model, a new factor associated with hysteresis damping is developed for contact-impact state, whereas the traditional linear damping factor is utilized for normal meshing state. For determining the selection strategy of these two damping factors, the fundamental contact mechanics of contact-impact event affected by supporting forces are analyzed. During this analysis, an effect factor is proposed for evaluating the influence of supporting forces on collision. Meanwhile, a new restitution of coefficient is deduced for calculating hysteresis damping factor, which suitable for both separation and non-separation states at the end of collision. In addition, the time-varying meshing stiffness (TVMS) is obtained based on the potential energy approach and the slice theory. Finally, a dynamic analysis of a helical gear system is carried out to better understand the contact force model proposed in this paper. The analysis results show that the contribution of supporting forces to the dynamic response of contact-impact event within gear pair is important. The supporting forces and dissipative energy are the main reasons for gear system to enter a steady contact state from repeated contact-impact state. This research proposes an improved contact force model which distinguishes meshing and collision states in gear system.展开更多

The end-surface contactratio of gears is defined as the ratio of the action angle (the rotation angle of gear from gear-into gear-out for one pair of teeth) to the rotation angle per pitch (or central angle per tooth).According to the theory of gearing, equation of the meshing line can be deduced from the toothprofiles of basic rack. Having obtained the equation of the meshing line, and being given theaddendum outline of the gears, the contact ratio can be calculated with the calculation expressions. For the involute gears, this definition has same effect as the well-known definition: ratio of thecontact line to the base pitch. This definition of contact ratio is also suitable to othernon-involute gears, such as micro-segments profile gears, sine-curved profile gears, and can givemore reliable results.展开更多

The mechanical model of contact stress analysis of spur gear under EHL was established, in which the oil film pressure was mapped into hertz contact zone. Considering the randomness of EHL, material properties and fatigue strength correction factors, the proposed method was used to analyze the contact fatigue reliability of spur gear under EHL. Compared with the results of 1.5×105 by traditional Monte-Carlo, the difference between the two failure probability results calculated by the above mentioned methods is 2.2×10-4, the relative error of the failure probability results is 26.8%, and time-consuming only accounts for 0.14% of the traditional Monte-Carlo method(MCM). Sensitivity analysis results are in very good agreement with practical cognition. Analysis results show that the proposed method is precise and efficient, and could correctly reflect the influence of EHL on contact fatigue reliability of spur gear.

文摘Mesh stiffness is one of important base parameters of face gear dynamic studies. However,a calculation solution of mesh stiffness of face gear drives is not to be constructed due to complex geometric flakes of face gear teeth. Thus,a calculation solution of mesh stiffness of face gear drives with a spur gear, which is based on the proposed equivalent face gear teeth and Ishikawa model,is constructed, and the influence of contact effects on mesh stiffness of face gear drives is investigated. The results indicate the mesh stiffness of face gear drives is sensitive to contact effects under heavy loaded operating conditions, specially. These contributions will benefit to improve dynamic studies of face gear drives.
文摘According to Hertz theory, the difference of contact stress for non-circular gears and equivalent gears is compared in the paper, a calculating method of contact stress for non-circular gears by using equivalent gears is researched, and computing formulas of power and rotation speed for equivalent gears are deduced. A numerical simulation of contact stress for non-circular gears has also been conducted based on the finite element method. By the comparison of fitting curves, the feasibility of using equivalent gears instead of non-circular gears to calculate the contact stress is testified.

文摘An approach for the contact analysis and load distribution of double-envelop hourglass worm gearing is presented, which is based on a 3-D elastic contact finite element method (FEM) model that accommodates the influence of errors and load. As compared with existing tooth contact analysis model that assumes rigidity for the contacting surfaces, the proposed model provides a more realistic analysis on the contact patterns, the distribution of contact load and transmission errors. It is also capable of exploring the influence of different errors on meshing performances, the contact deformation, the shift of the contact zone and load share among the meshing tooth-pairs under different load.

文摘To complete the contact fatigue reliability analysis of spur gear under elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL) efficiently and accurately, an intelligent method is proposed. Oil film pressure is approximated using quadratic polynomial with intercrossing term and then mapped into the Hertz contact zone. Considering the randomness of the EHL, material properties and fatigue strength correction factors, the probabilistic reliability analysis model is established using artificial neural network(ANN). Genetic algorithm(GA) is employed to search the minimum reliability index and the design point by introducing an adjusting factor in penalty function. Reliability sensitivity analysis is completed based on the advanced first order second moment(AFOSM). Numerical example shows that the established probabilistic reliability analysis model could correctly reflect the effect of EHL on contact fatigue of spur gear, and the proposed intelligent method has an excellent global search capability as well as a highly efficient computing performance compared with the traditional Monte Carlo method(MCM).
文摘A very useful new method of tooth contact finite element analysis(TCFEA) for spiralbevel and hypoid gears is presented, combines 3-d finite element contact stress analysis withLTCA (Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis). The TCFEA uses mixed finite element method to ana-lyze the 3-d contact stress. The related formulas are derived and an efficient analyzing method asseveral pairs of teeth in contact occurs is presented, which greatly reduce the computationalamount. It is of great significance that the tooth stress. geometry. contact condition and load areall considered in the same model. Finally the related experimental results are used to verify thesolution of TCFEA .
