Discreet investors exert greater influence on cooperation in the public goods game

This paper studies the evolutionary process of cooperative behavior in a public goods game model with heterogeneous investment strategies in square lattices.In the proposed model,players are divided into defectors,cooperators and discreet investors.Among these,defectors do not participate in investing,discreet investors make heterogeneous investments based on the investment behavior and cooperation value of their neighbors,and cooperators invest equally in each neighbor.In real life,heterogeneous investment is often accompanied by time or economic costs.The discreet investors in this paper pay a certain price to obtain their neighbors'investment behavior and cooperation value,which quantifies the time and economic costs of the heterogeneous investment process.The results of Monte Carlo simulation experiments in this study show that discreet investors can effectively resist the invasion of the defectors,form a stable cooperative group and expand the cooperative advantage in evolution.However,when discreet investors pay too high a price,they lose their strategic advantage.The results in this paper help us understand the role of heterogeneous investment in promoting and maintaining human social cooperation.

Toward inclusive list-making for trade liberalization in environmental goods to reduce carbon emissions

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC)is contemplating expanding its list of environmental goods(EG)for trade liberalization to fight climate change.In support of doing so,this study proposes that a long list that retains controversies is better for carbon emission reduction than a short common list.This study examines four mechanisms of longer lists:enlarging market scales,enriching product mixes,enhancing product sophistication,and enriching trade patterns.Using China’s emerging EG trade during the 2001-2015 period as a case study,this study compares four EG lists with different EG.The results show that:(1)a longer list reduces carbon emissions from both imports and exports,making domestic regions with different advantages have better chances of improving carbon efficiencies.(2)Product sophistication reduces the emission gap between trading partners,regardless of the length of EG lists.(3)China’s EG exports contribute to carbon reduction in leading regions,while EG imports provide laggard regions with better chances of reducing carbon emissions.These findings provide three implications for future list-making:it is important to(1)seek a long and inclusive list rather than a short common list,(2)shift the focus from environmental end-use to the technological contents of products,and(3)balance the demand of laggard regions to import and the capacity of leading regions to export.

Application of Dual-Energy X-Ray Image Detection of Dangerous Goods Based on YOLOv7

X-ray security equipment is currently a more commonly used dangerous goods detection tool, due to the increasing security work tasks, the use of target detection technology to assist security personnel to carry out work has become an inevitable trend. With the development of deep learning, object detection technology is becoming more and more mature, and object detection framework based on convolutional neural networks has been widely used in industrial, medical and military fields. In order to improve the efficiency of security staff, reduce the risk of dangerous goods missed detection. Based on the data collected in X-ray security equipment, this paper uses a method of inserting dangerous goods into an empty package to balance all kinds of dangerous goods data and expand the data set. The high-low energy images are combined using the high-low energy feature fusion method. Finally, the dangerous goods target detection technology based on the YOLOv7 model is used for model training. After the introduction of the above method, the detection accuracy is improved by 6% compared with the direct use of the original data set for detection, and the speed is 93FPS, which can meet the requirements of the online security system, greatly improve the work efficiency of security personnel, and eliminate the security risks caused by missed detection.

Discussion on the Supply of Child-friendly City Construction Based on the Attributes of Public Goods

Child friendliness is the need for a good life in the new era.The problems related to the construction of child-friendly cities were discussed from the perspective of the supply of public goods.Through literature research and summary,the basic concepts,construction factors,sources of supply goods,structure of the main supplies,and supply behavior of public goods supply in child-friendly cities were sorted out.Some effective suggestions were proposed,such as improving the resource conversion and integration ability of the main suppliers,establishing an effective incentive system,optimizing the structure of the main suppliers,improving multi-party collaborative efficiency,ensuring benefits for all parties,raising child-friendly awareness,innovating funding sources for projects,ensuring adequate funding supply,building urban supply system in accordance with local conditions,and ensuring the supply of public goods.

Strategy dominance mechanism of autonomous collaboration in unmanned swarm within the framework of public goods game

The key advantage of unmanned swarm operation is its autonomous cooperation. How to improve the proportion of cooperators is one of the key issues of autonomous collaboration in unmanned swarm operations. This work proposes a strategy dominance mechanism of autonomous collaboration in unmanned swarm within the framework of public goods game. It starts with the requirement analysis of autonomous collaboration in unmanned swarm;and an aspiration-driven multiplayer evolutionary game model is established based on the requirement. Then the average abundance function and strategy dominance condition of the model are constructed by theoretical derivation. Furthermore, the evolutionary mechanism of parameter adjustment in swarm cooperation is revealed via simulation,and the influences of the multiplication factor r, aspiration levelα, threshold m and other parameters on the strategy dominance conditions were simulated for both linear and threshold public goods games(PGGs) to determine the strategy dominance characteristics;Finally, deliberate proposals are suggested to provide a meaningful exploration in the actual control of unmanned swarm cooperation.

Study on good clinical practices among researchers in a tertiary healthcare institute in India

BACKGROUND Good clinical practice(GCP)is put in place to protect human participants in clinical trials as well as to ensure the quality of research.Non-adherence to these guidelines can produce research that may not meet the standards set by the scientific community.Therefore,it must be ensured that researchers are wellversed in the GCP.But not much is known about the knowledge and practices of the GCP in the medical colleges of North India.AIM To assess the knowledge and practices of researchers about GCP and analyze these with respect to the demographics of participants.METHODS This is a cross-sectional study.A self-structured questionnaire about GCP,after expert validations,was circulated among researchers,at a tertiary healthcare institute,All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS),Rishikesh.A total of 59 individuals,who were selected by universal sampling,participated in the study.All healthcare workers who have been investigators of Institutional Ethics Committee-approved research projects,except residents and faculty,and are still a part of the institute have been included in the study.The study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of AIIMS,Rishikesh.We used descriptive analysis and the Chi-squared test to analyze data.P value<0.05 was considered significant.RESULTS Out of 59 participants,only 11(18.6%)were certified for GCP.Most of the participants(64.4%)had“Average”knowledge,33.9%had“Good”knowledge and 1.7%had“Poor”knowledge.Only 49%of participants had satisfactory practices related to GCP.There was a significant difference in the knowledge based on the current academic position for the items assessing knowledge of institutional review board(P=0.010),confidentiality&privacy(P=0.011),and participant safety&adverse events(P<0.001).There was also a significant difference in knowledge of research misconduct(P=0.024)and participant safety&adverse events(P=0.011)based on certification of GCP.There was a notable difference in the practices related to recruitment&retention on the basis of current academic position(P<0.001)and certification of GCP(P=0.023).We also observed a considerable difference between the knowledge and practices of GCP among the participants(P=0.013).CONCLUSION Participants have basic knowledge of GCP but show a lack thereof in certain domains of GCP.This can be addressed by holding training sessions focusing on these particular domains.

The Bluest Eye is Toni Morrison’s maiden work,through which Morrison carried out independent thinking on the question of“What is beauty?”In The Bluest Eye,the image of mixed-blood is characterized as a self-satisfied beautiful girl or lady due to light skin color.However,Morrison shatters their proud aesthetic edifice through satirical techniques.Firstly,this paper starts with the analysis of Shirley Temple on the blue-and-white cup and Mary Jane on candy wrapper as culture goods,in order to reveal the aesthetic standards of the mainstream.Next,through close reading,this paper,taking the example of a high-yellow child Maureen Peal,and the graceful sugar-brown lady Geraldine,makes deep analysis on their sense of superiority and artistic characteristics,and aims to better understand Morrison’s satirical techniques and interpretation of beauty.

Pursuing the Distilled Good Practices to Improve the Quality of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Hence Enhance the EIA Effectiveness and Help Address the Concerns of Project Proponents:An Indian Context

Despite a wealth of literature on the different facets of the EIA,and copious theoretical knowledge and practical experience,the general agreement is eluding definitions of EIA effectiveness,quality,and good practices.There are apprehensions about EIA meeting its basic objectives while project proponents continue to treat EIA as an impediment to development.Governments tend to adopt a“practical”approach,sacrificing pillars of EIA and overlooking the prime objective of environmental protection.Based on an extensive literature study and the author’s long EIA-related experience,some key workable practices for the EIA process are elaborated.Meticulous scoping using different sets of lenses,spotlighting significant impacts to determine the breadth and depth of EIA reports for focussed EIAs,robust EIA review and decision-making,commitment from the regulators for environmental protection,and use of strategic planning,strategic environmental assessment,and tiering practices are expected to address scholars’apprehensions and project proponents’concerns.

本文报道1例54岁女性Good综合征患者,因进行性听力下降伴反复发热入院。实验室检查提示血清免疫球蛋白水平低下、外周血B淋巴细胞数量减少、T淋巴细胞亚群比例异常,且伴有前纵隔占位。纵隔肿物穿刺病理提示:胸腺瘤B1型。结合症状、实验室检查及病理诊断支持Good综合征诊断。且该病例纯音测听符合双耳极重度感音神经性耳聋,结合听力下降的特点并排除其他继发性因素,考虑免疫介导性内耳病(IMIED)。确诊后患者未行胸腺瘤手术切除,不定期接受抗感染、免疫球蛋白输注等一系列综合治疗,听力损害无改善,2个月后听力损害进展至耳聋。确诊半年后患者死于严重播散性感染。

Globalization Under the Spells of Breakdowns in Supply Chains, Regime Change, Regime Formation, and Alliance Restructuring: How Much Is Left for Public Goods?

In a paper conceived about five years ago(“Globalization and Public Goods:Too Big to Tackle?”)roughly a dozen factors were linked to explain important causal paths from globalization to the potential output of public goods.The Russian invasion of Ukraine,the corona epidemic,and the increased hegemonic rivalry between China and the U.S.interrupted or even destroyed many of the linkages between globalization and potential public good production.About five important detrimental paths involved in the meantime.In the present article we aim at linking what is left from the previous level of globalization or emerging to form a new and simplified causal model for likely linkages between truncated or(re-)emerging globalization,and the deadly needed output of public goods.These linkages refer to rules of climate control,go to trade linkages and arbitrary tariffs and trade interventions.Regime change,regime formation,and alliance restructuring address aspects of domestic rule and international stability.Selectorate theory,regime type,and exit options for political elites provide key explanatory factors in explaining globalization and public goods productions,or their decay.Where possible we use some data and transformation experiences corroborating our arguments.In other instances need for further empirical macro research will become clear.

The assessment of good and bad bacteria in holy basil(Ocimum sanctum)leaves

Holy basil(Tulsi,Ocimum sanctum)is considered to be a pious plant.It is used not only in many of the rituals of Hindus but is also known for its innumerable medicinal qualities.Holy basil leaves(HBLs)are often consumed raw thus it is pertinent to detect the bacteria on Tulsi leaves.This study was conducted to understand the diversity of the aerobically growing microbiome of edible holy basil leaves.A total of 112 samples of leaves were collected from households of six localities in and around Bareilly,India for detecting culturable bacteria growing aerobically.A sum of 579 bacterial isolates belonging to 106 different species was identified.Pantoea agglomerans isolates were detected in 43 samples followed by isolates Virgibacillus pantothenticus(21),Bacillus coagulans(18),Bacillus cereus(17),Geobacillus stearothermophilus(16),Klebsiella pneumoniae(13),Citrobacter freundii(12),Lysinibacillus sphaericus(12),Acinetobacter calcoaceticus(11),Escherichia coli(11),and Xenorhabdus bovienii(11).Isolates of 95 species of bacteria were detected on<10 samples of HBLs.Of 579 isolates,161 isolates detected in 68(60.71%)samples were of putatively good bacteria belonging to eight genera(Bacillus,Brevibacillus,Lysinibacillus,Paenibacillus,Photobacter,Siccibacter,Virgibacillus,Xenoirhabdus)and 23 species.However,418 bacterial isolates detected in 108(96.43%)of the HBL samples were classified as potentially pathogenic for humans and animals belonging to 34 genera and 73 species.There were only four samples(three from Mahanagar and one from Bhojipura)that had no potential pathogenic bacteria detected in this study.The analysis indicated that HBL leaves from the ICAR-IVRI campus had a lower probability(P<0.04)of harbouring good bacteria than samples from Bhojpura,Mahanagar,North City and Rajendra Nagar.Cinnamaldehyde inhibiting 96.72%of the isolates and carvacrol inhibiting 96.37%of the isolates were the best herbal antimicrobials and among antibiotics,meropenem inhibited 98.96%of bacterial isolates.Antimicrobial resistance in non-pathogenic or good bacteria was significantly more common(P<0.01)for ajowan oil but they were more often(P<0.05)susceptible to holy basil oil,lemongrass oil,citral,P.embalica leaf extract,P.longifolia seed oil,nitrofurantoin,ciprofloxacin,chloramphenicol,colistin and minocycline than isolates of potentially pathogenic bacteria.The study concludes that HBLs may harbour both good and bacteria,and should be consumed raw only after proper decontamination.

Application of the Industry-University-Research Education Model of“Works,Products,and Public Goods”in Design Majors Practical Courses in Colleges and Universities

One of the goals and requirements of China’s educational modernization includes prioritizing,guiding,and promoting the social service capabilities of universities.The teaching of practical courses in design majors in colleges and universities has long been plagued by problems such as being“out of touch with the market and social needs”and“ignoring the cultivation of creativity.”It fails to meet the goals and requirements of educational modernization.This article takes the“Fundamentals of Styling and Comprehensive Expression”course offered by the School of Design of Guangxi Normal University as an entry point to study the industry-university-research education method that combines“social service”with the teaching of design professional practical courses.It also attempts to improve“works,products,and public goods”through the establishment of the theoretical model of“product”and the analysis of practical application paths is carried out to solve the problems existing in the traditional teaching of the design major,enhance the social service capabilities of the design major,promote talent employment and industry and social development,and carry out teaching reform attempts.

强宿根高产高糖甘蔗新品种云蔗101666的选育与评价

【目的】适应蔗糖产业发展的需求,选育宿根性好的高产高糖甘蔗新品种,保障蔗农和糖企利益,为云南和中国蔗糖产业的可持续发展提供品种支持。【方法】以‘桂糖96-167’为母本、‘崖城93-26’为父本进行甘蔗有性杂交,通过“五圃制”选育程序,经区试试验综合考察‘云蔗101666’的形态特征和生产性状。【结果】‘云蔗101666’蔗茎均匀,株型紧凑直立,中至中大茎,脱叶性好;2017—2019年区试试验中11—3月的蔗糖分分别为:12.80%、14.97%、16.26%、17.09%、17.37%,全期平均蔗糖分达15.46%,比‘新台糖22号’高出0.71个百分点;平均蔗茎产量121.32 t/hm^(2),较‘新台糖22号’增产22.50%;平均糖产量18.67 t/hm^(2),比‘新台糖22号’增产29.20%。该品种中抗黑穗病和条纹花叶病,感高粱花叶病,于2020年7月获植物新品种权。【结论】‘云蔗101666’为中早熟、高产、高糖品种,其抗旱性强,宿根性好,脱叶性佳,适宜在云南德宏、版纳、临沧、富宁蔗区海拔900~1400 m甘蔗产区中等以上肥力的的旱坡地、台地种植。

外部经济不确定性与中国家庭经济活动

当今世界,国外环境日趋复杂,不确定性因素明显增加,将对中国家庭经济活动产生深远影响。在测算中国面临的外部经济不确定性的基础上,利用中国家庭金融调查数据(CHFS)和分位数回归方法,实证研究了外部经济不确定性对中国家庭收入、消费和风险资产配置的影响。研究发现:外部经济不确定性对家庭总收入和家庭总消费均存在显著的负向作用,且这种负向作用随着收入水平和消费水平的提高而增大;外部经济不确定性对不同消费水平群体的家庭耐用品消费均有明显的负向影响,对中等消费水平群体的负面影响最大。此外,外部经济不确定性对中国家庭收入和消费的影响表现出区域差异性和城乡差异性,在外向型产业占比更大的东部地区和经济发展水平较低的农村地区,家庭收入和消费受到外部经济不确定性的冲击更大。而拥有社会保险或商业保险是缓解外部经济不确定性对家庭经济活动负面影响的重要调节方式。进一步分析表明,当家庭面临更大的外部经济不确定性时,会减少对风险资产的持有,增加持有无风险资产。

优质食味粳稻香软米新品种云粳37号选育及功能基因优势等位基因型分析

云粳37号是以具有香味且表现高产稳产的粳稻品种云粳26号作母本,以持有低直链淀粉含量调控基因Wx^(y37)且稻米食味品质优异、耐寒性和抗病性强的粳稻软米品种银光作父本杂交育成,具有食味品质优异、高产、稳产、耐寒、抗病等优良性状。通过对云粳37号及双亲全基因组重测序和功能基因优势等位基因型分析发现,云粳37号遗传了双亲的多个优势等位基因,如香味基因Badh2、抗稻瘟病基因Pi35、调控低直链淀粉含量基因Wx^(y37)、耐冷基因CTB4a、抗旱基因OsPP15和抗白叶枯病基因Xa26等,是目前云南省影响较大的粳稻品种。

基于在线消费评论的体育品牌感知、情感分析及满意度测评研究

中国体育用品市场已经成为国内外体育品牌角逐的焦点,以体育品牌消费者评论数据为研究样本,采用文本分析法、词频分析法、语义情感分析等方法,对国内外体育用品的产品认知、情感表达及满意度等差异性进行研究。研究发现国内外品牌感知和产品认知无显著差异,高频关键词呈长尾分布,消费者关心品牌质量、性价比、消费体验等,且与运动项目关联不密切;高频关键词分布呈现“中心—边缘”特征,国内品牌语义网络图相对集中,国外品牌产品和在线消费服务分化;在线消费整体呈现正向情感,消极情感主要表达在产品质量;在线消费者整体满意度较高,国内外品牌在服务态度和物流质量差异性显著。针对国产体育品牌,建议采用提高品牌专业辨识度,加强运动项目关联;加强品牌质量建设,提升消费者忠诚度;挖掘品牌边缘属性,吸引潜在消费者;重视消极情感,提升售后质量;选择适当销售服务平台等策略提升消费者品牌感知和满意度。
