We find that the center of the transmitted Gaussian evanescent wave has a giant lateral shift relative to the incident Gaussian beam center for a wide range of incident angle and Gaussian beam wavelength to excite SPPs, which can be more than two orders of magnitude larger than the silver film thickness. The phenomenon is closely related with the conventional Goos–Hnchen effect for total internal reflection of light beam, and it is called the transmission Goos–Hnchen shift. We find that this lateral shift depends heavily on the excitation wavelength, incident angle, and the silver layer thickness. Finite-difference time-domain simulations show that this transmission Goos–Hnchen shift is induced by a unique dynamical process of excitation, transport, and leakage of SPPs.展开更多

Using the Doppler frequency for positioning is a promising research direction on communication and navigation integration. To tackle the high Doppler frequency and low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) in satellite communication, this paper proposes a Red and Blue Frequency Shift Discriminator(RBFSD) based on the pseudo-noise(PN) sequence. The paper derives that the cross-correlation function on the Doppler domain exhibits the characteristic of a Sinc function. Therefore, it applies modulation onto the Delay-Doppler domain using PN sequence and adjusts Doppler frequency estimation by red-shifting or blue-shifting. Simulation results show that the performance of Doppler frequency estimation is close to the Cramér-Rao Lower Bound when the SNR is greater than -15dB. The proposed algorithm is about 1/D times less complex than the existing PN pilot sequence algorithm, where D is the resolution of the fractional Doppler.展开更多

The surface plasmon phonon polaritons(SPPPs), which are coupled by the surface phonon polaritons(SPh Ps) and surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs), can greatly increase GH shifts.Based on the in-plane anisotropy of BP, two typical metasurface models are designed and investigated. An enormous GH shift of about-7565.58 λ_(0) is achieved by adjusting the physical parameters of the BP-patches. In the designed metasurface structure, the maximum sensitivity accompanying large GH shifts can reach about 6.43 × 10^(8) λ_(0)/RIU, which is extremely sensitive to the size, carrier density, and layer number of BP. Compared with a traditional surface plasmon resonance sensor, the sensitivity is increased by at least two orders of magnitude. We believe that investigating metasurface-based SPPPs sensors could lead to high-sensitivity biochemical detection applications.展开更多

文摘Profile shift is a highly effective technique for optimizing the performance of spur gear transmission systems. However, tooth surface wear is inevitable during gear meshing due to inadequate lubrication and long-term operation. Both profile shift and tooth surface wear(TSW)can impact the meshing characteristics by altering the involute tooth profile. In this study,a tooth stiffness model of spur gears that incorporates profile shift,TSW,tooth deformation, tooth contact deformation,fillet-foundation deformation, and gear body structure coupling is established. This model efficiently and accurately determines the time-varying mesh stiffness(TVMS).Additionally,an improved wear depth prediction method for spur gears is developed, which takes into consideration the mutually prime teeth numbers and more accurately reflects actual gear meshing conditions. Results show that consideration of the mutual prime of teeth numbers will have a certain impact on the TSW process.Furthermore, the finite element method(FEM)is employed to accurately verify the values of TVMS and load sharing ratio(LSR)of profile-shifted gears and worn gears. This study quantitatively analyzes the effect of profile shift on the surface wear process, which suggests that gear profile shift can partially alleviate the negative effects of TSW.The contribution of this study provides valuable insights into the design and maintenance of spur gear systems.

文摘A non-contact low-frequency(LF)method of diagnosing the plasma surrounding a scaled model in a shock tube is proposed. This method utilizes the phase shift occurring after the transmission of an LF alternating magnetic field through the plasma to directly measure the ratio of the plasma loop average electron density to collision frequency. An equivalent circuit model is used to analyze the relationship of the phase shift of the magnetic field component of LF electromagnetic waves with the plasma electron density and collision frequency. The applicable range of the LF method on a given plasma scale is analyzed. The upper diagnostic limit for the ratio of the electron density(unit:m^(-3))to collision frequency(unit:Hz)exceeds 1×10^(11),enabling an electron density to exceed 1×10^(20)m^(-3)and a collision frequency to be less than 1 GHz.In this work, the feasibility of using the LF phase shift to implement the plasma diagnosis is also assessed.Diagnosis experiments on shock tube equipment are conducted by using both the electrostatic probe method and LF method.By comparing the diagnostic results of the two methods, the inversion results are relatively consistent with each other, thereby preliminarily verifying the feasibility of the LF method. The ratio of the electron density to the collision frequency has a relatively uniform distribution during the plasma stabilization. The LF diagnostic path is a loop around the model, which is suitable for diagnosing the plasma that surrounds the model. Finally, the causes of diagnostic discrepancy between the two methods are analyzed. The proposed method provides a new avenue for diagnosing high-density enveloping plasma.

文摘We conduct a theoretical analysis of the massive and tunable Goos–Hänchen(GH) shift on a polar crystal covered with periodical black phosphorus(BP)-patches in the THz range. We believe that investigating metasurface-based SPPPs sensors could lead to high-sensitivity biochemical detection applications.

文摘Quasi-bound state in the continuum(QBIC)resonance is gradually attracting attention and being applied in Goos-Hänchen(GH)shift enhancement due to its high quality(Q)factor and superior optical confinement.Currently,symmetry-protected QBIC resonance is often achieved by breaking the geometric symmetry, but few cases are achieved by breaking the material symmetry. This paper proposes a dielectric compound grating to achieve a high Q factor and high-reflection symmetry-protectede QBIC resonance based on material asymmetry.Theoretical calculations show that the symmetry-protected QBIC resonance achieved by material asymmetry can significantly increase the GH shift up to-980 times the resonance wavelength, and the maximum GH shift is located at the reflection peak with unity reflectance. This paper provides a theoretical basis for designing and fabricating high-performance GH shift tunable metasurfaces/dielectric gratings in the future.
文摘This paper focus on the chaotic properties of minimal subshift of shift operators. It is proved that the minimal subshift of shift operators is uniformly distributional chaotic, distributional chaotic in a sequence, distributional chaotic of type k ( k∈{ 1,2,2 1 2 ,3 } ), and ( 0,1 ) -distribution.
