Th...<div style="text-align:justify;"> Due to the concentrated rainfall and serious soil erosion in July and August in the Yellow River Basin, the flood discharge is not timely leading to serious floods. Therefore, a reasonable assessment of the flood-affected areas, advance arrangements for the deployment of the Yellow River basin flood disaster prevention and control plays a decisive role. For this purpose, this paper proposes a level assessment method based on the flood which analyzes three factors related to flooding disaster (disaster impact range, social index, and property index) through the gray correlation analysis method, to evaluate the level of flood disaster. Different from the traditional assessment method, which evaluates the nature of flood from the perspective of indicators such as frequency, duration, and magnitude, or indirect factors such as rainfall and soil loss, this paper conducts qualitative calculation of macro-scale indicators from the perspective of post-disaster losses in previous years. This study provides a new way of thinking and method for the classification of the flood disaster, which has certain practical application value under the condition of conforming to its own use. </div>展开更多

And Botrytis cinerea was inoculated to investigate the incidence of gray mold. The results showed that:(1) there were significant differences in disease resistance between different varieties and different combinations.(2) There were significant differences in general combining ability and special combining ability between the tested varieties,and Wva536 and C2985 had a higher general combining ability effect,and were both relatively good parents when formulating resistant combinations. Combinations Wva536 × 03786 and Wva536 × 05237 had the highest special combining ability,and thus have the value of further research and utilization.(3) The additive effect in resistance inheritance was located at the primary position,and partial dominance also existed as well as cytoplasmic effect.(4) The broad-sense heritability and narrow-sense heritability were,respectively,89. 73% and82. 15%,which were higher,indicating that the parents had a greater effect on offsprings. The resistance genes can be expressed in offsprings through gene accumulation,and should be selected in the early generation.展开更多

Firstly,gray correlation analysis method was adopted to investigate the correlation levels between adhesion indices,and secondly the relative importance of fabric structural parameters to fabric-skin adhesion,as well as the correlation levels between skin adhesion, water absorption, and wicking properties of the fabric. The results prove that W exhibits clear correlations with both F_(max) and L_(max) , yet the relevance between F_(max) and L_(max) is weak. Fabric adhesion indices are most associated with fabric mass and least with fabric thickness,whereas fabric wicking and water absorption present closest correlation with fabric thickness. We introduce a gray theory of quantitative analysis of the energy consumption of residential buildings in Chongqing,China,on the impact of carbon emission factors. Three impacts are analyzed,namely per capita residential housing area,domestic water consumption and the rate of air conditioner ownership per 100 urban households. The gray prediction model established using the Chongqing carbon emission-residential building energy consumption forecast model is sufficiently accurate to achieve a measure of feasibility and applicability.展开更多
Gray blight disease(GBD)causes significant losses in tea production in China.Although genes and biological processes involved in resistance to fungal disease in tea plants have been identified,specific mechanisms of t...Gray blight disease(GBD)causes significant losses in tea production in China.Although genes and biological processes involved in resistance to fungal disease in tea plants have been identified,specific mechanisms of the GBD infection process remain unknown.In this study,morphological and multi-gene(TEF-TUB-ITS)phylogenetic characteristics were used to identify isolate CLBB1 of Pseudopestalotiopsis vietnamensis.Pathogenicity tests confirmed that isolate CLBB1 from tea leaves caused GBD in the susceptible tea cultivar Wuyi Rock(Camellia sinensis var.sinensis cv.Shuixian).Spores began to germinate 24 h after infection(hai),and after 48 h,elongated fungal hyphae formed from a single conidium.Transcriptome analysis revealed that 482,517,and 369 genes were differentially expressed at 24,48,and 72 hai,respectively,in Wuyi Rock tea leaves.Isolate CLBB1 infection elicited phenotype-related responses and activated defense-related pathways,including plant–pathogen interaction,MAPK signaling,and plant hormone signal transduction,suggesting a possible mechanism underlying phenotype-based susceptibility to CLBB1.Thus,a new Ps.vietnamensis strain causing GBD in the tea cultivar‘Shuixian’was discovered in this study.Transcriptome analysis indicated that pathogen invasion activated chitin-related MAPK pathways and that tea plants required a hormone to restrict CLBB1.展开更多
Urban energy systems(UESs)play a pivotal role in the consumption of clean energy and the promotion of energy cascade utilization.In the context of the construction and operation strategy of UESs with multiple compleme...Urban energy systems(UESs)play a pivotal role in the consumption of clean energy and the promotion of energy cascade utilization.In the context of the construction and operation strategy of UESs with multiple complementary energy resources,a comprehensive assessment of the energy efficiency is of paramount importance.First,a multi-dimensional evaluation system with four primary indexes of energy utilization,environmental protection,system operation,and economic efficiency and 21 secondary indexes is constructed to comprehensively portray the UES.Considering that the evaluation system may contain a large number of indexes and that there is overlapping information among them,an energy efficiency evaluation method based on data processing,dimensionality reduction,integration of combined weights,and gray correlation analysis is proposed.This method can effectively reduce the number of calculations and improve the accuracy of energy efficiency assessments.Third,a demonstration project for a UES in China is presented.The energy efficiency of each scenario is assessed using six operational scenarios.The results show that Scenario 5,in which parks operate independently and investors build shared energy-storage equipment,has the best results and is best suited for green and low-carbon development.The results of the comparative assessment methods show that the proposed method provides a good energy efficiency assessment.This study provides a reference for the optimal planning,construction,and operation of UESs with multiple energy sources.展开更多

Compared to conventional single-factor evaluation methods, the combination evaluation method can consider these two uncertainties to produce more objective and reasonable evaluation results. In this paper, we propose a combination evaluation method with two main parts:(1) the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and gray correlation analysis as submodels with which to consider the fuzzy and gray uncertainties and(2) the establishment of a combination model based on minimum bias squares. In addition, using this method, we evaluate the water quality of a ditch in a typical rice–wheat system of Yixing city in the Taihu Lake Basin during three rainfall events. The results show that the ditch water quality is not good and we found the chemical oxygen demand to be the key indicator that affects water quality most significantly. The proposed combination evaluation method is more accurate and practical than single-factor evaluation methods in that it considers the uncertainties of fuzziness and grayness.展开更多

In Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the hippocampus is one of the first areas of the brain to become shriveled and this leads to the memory less, damage in learning and declaration of emotional behaviors. In this paper, we investigate the effects of sex on hippocampus gray matter (HGM) atrophy in four groups of participants, namely, males with AD (M-AD, n = 34), age-matched normal male controls (M-NC, n = 34), females with AD (F-AD, n = 34), and age matched normal female controls (F-NC, n = 34) from ADNI dataset. In this regard, Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is employed to compare means of HGM differences among groups. The statistical results obtained by ANOVA show that the distribution of HGM atrophy is effected by sex. Also there was a significant diagnosis with higher severity in the F-AD compared to M-AD. The AD studies based on the sex may help to figure out the root of AD mechanisms and poten-tially can be used as an imaging marker for the studies of AD in the future.展开更多
Al7075-Cu composite joints were prepared by the squeeze overcast process.The effects of melt temperature,die temperature,and squeeze pressure on hardness and ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu...Al7075-Cu composite joints were prepared by the squeeze overcast process.The effects of melt temperature,die temperature,and squeeze pressure on hardness and ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints were studied.The experimental results depict that squeeze pressure is the most significant process parameter affecting the hardness and UTS.The optimal values of UTS(48 MPa)and hardness(76 HRB)are achieved at a melt temperature of 800℃,a die temperature of 250℃,and a squeeze pressure of 90 MPa.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)shows that fractured surfaces show flatfaced morphology at the optimal experimental condition.Energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)analysis depicts that the atomic weight percentage of Zn decreases with an increase in melt temperature and squeeze pressure.The optimal mechanical properties of the Al7075-Cu overcast joint were achieved at the Al2Cu eutectic phase due to the large number of copper atoms that dispersed into the aluminum melt during the solidification process and the formation of strong intermetallic bonds.Gray relational analysis integrated with the Taguchi method was used to develop an optimal set of control variables for multi-response parametric optimization.Confirmatory tests were performed to validate the effectiveness of the employed technique.The manufacturing of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints at optimal process parameters delivers a great indication to acknowledge a new method for foundry practitioners to manufacture materials with superior mechanical properties.展开更多
Traditional distribution network planning relies on the professional knowledge of planners,especially when analyzing the correlations between the problems existing in the network and the crucial influencing factors.Th...Traditional distribution network planning relies on the professional knowledge of planners,especially when analyzing the correlations between the problems existing in the network and the crucial influencing factors.The inherent laws reflected by the historical data of the distribution network are ignored,which affects the objectivity of the planning scheme.In this study,to improve the efficiency and accuracy of distribution network planning,the characteristics of distribution network data were extracted using a data-mining technique,and correlation knowledge of existing problems in the network was obtained.A data-mining model based on correlation rules was established.The inputs of the model were the electrical characteristic indices screened using the gray correlation method.The Apriori algorithm was used to extract correlation knowledge from the operational data of the distribution network and obtain strong correlation rules.Degree of promotion and chi-square tests were used to verify the rationality of the strong correlation rules of the model output.In this study,the correlation relationship between heavy load or overload problems of distribution network feeders in different regions and related characteristic indices was determined,and the confidence of the correlation rules was obtained.These results can provide an effective basis for the formulation of a distribution network planning scheme.展开更多
Low temperature significantly restricts crop yield and quality.Medicago falcata(M.falcata)is a typical legume species that exhibits great capacity of tolerance to low temperature.To understand the low-temperature resp...Low temperature significantly restricts crop yield and quality.Medicago falcata(M.falcata)is a typical legume species that exhibits great capacity of tolerance to low temperature.To understand the low-temperature responses in M.falcata,the electrolyte leakage and lipid peroxidation level,and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD),and contents of reduced glutathione(GSH),soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline were investigated in low-temperature-stressed M.falcata leaves.The electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde(MDA)content increased,and could be used to quantify low-temperature damage at cellular level.And then,the significant change of SOD,POD and CAT activities,and GSH content reflected the higher reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging capacity in M.falcata.In addition,the significant change of soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline contents helped to maintain osmotic equilibrium,energy supply and protein functions.These nine physiological traits were analyzed by gray relational grade analysis and ranked from the highest to the lowest as follows:electrolyte leakage,GSH,proline,soluble protein,MDA,soluble sugar,SOD,CAT and POD,and illustrated that the electrolyte leakage level,GSH and proline contents should be selected and measured priority in M.falcata low-temperature tolerance to improve measurement efficiency.展开更多

This study is designed to investigate the bioactive components on increasing peak bone mass (PBM) by exploring the spectrum-effect relationship between chromatography fingerprints and effect. Multiple indicators are selected to evaluate the pharmacological activity. In fingerprints, 21 common peaks are obtained, five of which are identified. Furthermore, gray relational analysis (GRA) is a quantitative method of gray system theory and is used to describe the correlation degree of common peaks and pharmacological activities with relational value. 21 components are then divided into three different regions, of which ononin and calycosin play an extremely significant role in increasing PBM. In addition, factor analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) are used to screen the optimal producing area for Radix Hedysari. This provides a comprehensive and efficient method to improve the quality evaluation of Radix Hedysari, confirming the bioactive components for PBM-enhancement and further develop its medicinal value.展开更多

Tropical hurricanes are among the most devastating hazards on Earth.Knowledge about its intense inner-core structure and dynamics will improve hurricane forecasts and advisories.The precise morphological parameters ex...Tropical hurricanes are among the most devastating hazards on Earth.Knowledge about its intense inner-core structure and dynamics will improve hurricane forecasts and advisories.The precise morphological parameters extracted from high-resolution spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images,can play an essential role in further exploring and monitoring hurricane dynamics,especially when hurricanes undergo amplification,shearing,eyewall replacements and so forth.Moreover,these parameters can help to build guidelines for wind calibration of the more abundant,but lower resolution scatterometer wind data,thus better linking scatterometer wind fields to hurricane categories.In this paper,we develop a new method for automatically extracting the hurricane eyes from C-band SAR data by constructing Gray Level-Gradient Co-occurrence Matrices(GLGCMs).The hurricane eyewall is determined with a two-dimensional vector,generated by maximizing the class entropy of the hurricane eye region in GLGCM.The results indicate that when the hurricane is weak,or the eyewall is not closed,the hurricane eye extracted with this automatic method still agrees with what is observed visually,and it preserves the texture characteristics of the original image.As compared to Du’s wavelet analysis method and other morphological analysis methods,the approach developed here has reduced artefacts due to factors like hurricane size and has lower programming complexity.In summary,the proposed method provides a new and elegant choice for hurricane eye morphology extraction.展开更多

Three impacts are analyzed,namely per capita residential housing area,domestic water consumption and the rate of air conditioner ownership per 100 urban households. The gray prediction model established using the Chongqing carbon emission-residential building energy consumption forecast model is sufficiently accurate to achieve a measure of feasibility and applicability.

文摘Gray blight disease(GBD)causes significant losses in tea production in China.Although genes and biological processes involved in resistance to fungal disease in tea plants have been identified,specific mechanisms of the GBD infection process remain unknown.In this study,morphological and multi-gene(TEF-TUB-ITS)phylogenetic characteristics were used to identify isolate CLBB1 of Pseudopestalotiopsis vietnamensis.Pathogenicity tests confirmed that isolate CLBB1 from tea leaves caused GBD in the susceptible tea cultivar Wuyi Rock(Camellia sinensis var.sinensis cv.Shuixian).Spores began to germinate 24 h after infection(hai),and after 48 h,elongated fungal hyphae formed from a single conidium.Transcriptome analysis revealed that 482,517,and 369 genes were differentially expressed at 24,48,and 72 hai,respectively,in Wuyi Rock tea leaves.Isolate CLBB1 infection elicited phenotype-related responses and activated defense-related pathways,including plant–pathogen interaction,MAPK signaling,and plant hormone signal transduction,suggesting a possible mechanism underlying phenotype-based susceptibility to CLBB1.Thus,a new Ps.vietnamensis strain causing GBD in the tea cultivar‘Shuixian’was discovered in this study.Transcriptome analysis indicated that pathogen invasion activated chitin-related MAPK pathways and that tea plants required a hormone to restrict CLBB1.

文摘Urban energy systems(UESs)play a pivotal role in the consumption of clean energy and the promotion of energy cascade utilization.In the context of the construction and operation strategy of UESs with multiple complementary energy resources,a comprehensive assessment of the energy efficiency is of paramount importance.First,a multi-dimensional evaluation system with four primary indexes of energy utilization,environmental protection,system operation,and economic efficiency and 21 secondary indexes is constructed to comprehensively portray the UES.Considering that the evaluation system may contain a large number of indexes and that there is overlapping information among them,an energy efficiency evaluation method based on data processing,dimensionality reduction,integration of combined weights,and gray correlation analysis is proposed.This method can effectively reduce the number of calculations and improve the accuracy of energy efficiency assessments.Third,a demonstration project for a UES in China is presented.The energy efficiency of each scenario is assessed using six operational scenarios.The results show that Scenario 5,in which parks operate independently and investors build shared energy-storage equipment,has the best results and is best suited for green and low-carbon development.The results of the comparative assessment methods show that the proposed method provides a good energy efficiency assessment.This study provides a reference for the optimal planning,construction,and operation of UESs with multiple energy sources.

文摘The complex relationships between indicators and water conditions cause fuzzy and gray uncertainties in evaluation of water quality. Compared to conventional single-factor evaluation methods, the combination evaluation method can consider these two uncertainties to produce more objective and reasonable evaluation results. In this paper, we propose a combination evaluation method with two main parts:(1) the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and gray correlation analysis as submodels with which to consider the fuzzy and gray uncertainties and(2) the establishment of a combination model based on minimum bias squares. In addition, using this method, we evaluate the water quality of a ditch in a typical rice–wheat system of Yixing city in the Taihu Lake Basin during three rainfall events. The results show that the ditch water quality is not good and we found the chemical oxygen demand to be the key indicator that affects water quality most significantly. The proposed combination evaluation method is more accurate and practical than single-factor evaluation methods in that it considers the uncertainties of fuzziness and grayness.

文摘The development level of industrialization,informationization,urbanization and agricultural modernization(New Four Modernizations) is an important indicator for evaluation of regional economic development.In this paper,an indicator system was designed for evaluation of the development level of New Four Modernizations according to the interaction mechanism between them.It introduced the data related to New Four Modernizations of 14 cities in Hunan Province during 2004 and 2012,and made a comprehensive analysis of the development level of New Four Modernizations in these cities by entropy-gray relational method.It found that the development level of New Four Modernizations in 14 cities in Hunan Province was extremely uneven,and the stronger would become stronger,while the weaker would become weaker,like Matthew effect.Thus,it is required to straighten out the development idea,carry out reform and innovation in the mechanism construction,urbanrural integration,interaction and integration,and regional coordination,to promote simultaneous development of New Four Modernizations.
文摘Hippocampus, an area of cortex that plays an important role in thinking, planning and remembering. In Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the hippocampus is one of the first areas of the brain to become shriveled and this leads to the memory less, damage in learning and declaration of emotional behaviors. In this paper, we investigate the effects of sex on hippocampus gray matter (HGM) atrophy in four groups of participants, namely, males with AD (M-AD, n = 34), age-matched normal male controls (M-NC, n = 34), females with AD (F-AD, n = 34), and age matched normal female controls (F-NC, n = 34) from ADNI dataset. In this regard, Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is employed to compare means of HGM differences among groups. The statistical results obtained by ANOVA show that the distribution of HGM atrophy is effected by sex. Also there was a significant diagnosis with higher severity in the F-AD compared to M-AD. The AD studies based on the sex may help to figure out the root of AD mechanisms and poten-tially can be used as an imaging marker for the studies of AD in the future.
文摘Al7075-Cu composite joints were prepared by the squeeze overcast process.The effects of melt temperature,die temperature,and squeeze pressure on hardness and ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints were studied.The experimental results depict that squeeze pressure is the most significant process parameter affecting the hardness and UTS.The optimal values of UTS(48 MPa)and hardness(76 HRB)are achieved at a melt temperature of 800℃,a die temperature of 250℃,and a squeeze pressure of 90 MPa.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)shows that fractured surfaces show flatfaced morphology at the optimal experimental condition.Energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)analysis depicts that the atomic weight percentage of Zn decreases with an increase in melt temperature and squeeze pressure.The optimal mechanical properties of the Al7075-Cu overcast joint were achieved at the Al2Cu eutectic phase due to the large number of copper atoms that dispersed into the aluminum melt during the solidification process and the formation of strong intermetallic bonds.Gray relational analysis integrated with the Taguchi method was used to develop an optimal set of control variables for multi-response parametric optimization.Confirmatory tests were performed to validate the effectiveness of the employed technique.The manufacturing of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints at optimal process parameters delivers a great indication to acknowledge a new method for foundry practitioners to manufacture materials with superior mechanical properties.

文摘Traditional distribution network planning relies on the professional knowledge of planners,especially when analyzing the correlations between the problems existing in the network and the crucial influencing factors.The inherent laws reflected by the historical data of the distribution network are ignored,which affects the objectivity of the planning scheme.In this study,to improve the efficiency and accuracy of distribution network planning,the characteristics of distribution network data were extracted using a data-mining technique,and correlation knowledge of existing problems in the network was obtained.A data-mining model based on correlation rules was established.The inputs of the model were the electrical characteristic indices screened using the gray correlation method.The Apriori algorithm was used to extract correlation knowledge from the operational data of the distribution network and obtain strong correlation rules.Degree of promotion and chi-square tests were used to verify the rationality of the strong correlation rules of the model output.In this study,the correlation relationship between heavy load or overload problems of distribution network feeders in different regions and related characteristic indices was determined,and the confidence of the correlation rules was obtained.These results can provide an effective basis for the formulation of a distribution network planning scheme.

文摘Low temperature significantly restricts crop yield and quality.Medicago falcata(M.falcata)is a typical legume species that exhibits great capacity of tolerance to low temperature.To understand the low-temperature responses in M.falcata,the electrolyte leakage and lipid peroxidation level,and activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD),and contents of reduced glutathione(GSH),soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline were investigated in low-temperature-stressed M.falcata leaves.The electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde(MDA)content increased,and could be used to quantify low-temperature damage at cellular level.And then,the significant change of SOD,POD and CAT activities,and GSH content reflected the higher reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging capacity in M.falcata.In addition,the significant change of soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline contents helped to maintain osmotic equilibrium,energy supply and protein functions.These nine physiological traits were analyzed by gray relational grade analysis and ranked from the highest to the lowest as follows:electrolyte leakage,GSH,proline,soluble protein,MDA,soluble sugar,SOD,CAT and POD,and illustrated that the electrolyte leakage level,GSH and proline contents should be selected and measured priority in M.falcata low-temperature tolerance to improve measurement efficiency.

文摘The traditional Chinese medicine of Radix Hedysari plays an important role in invigorating gas for ascending, benefiting blood for promoting production of fluid, and promoting circulation for removing obstruction in collaterals, which is consistent with the principle of treatment for osteoporosis. This study is designed to investigate the bioactive components on increasing peak bone mass (PBM) by exploring the spectrum-effect relationship between chromatography fingerprints and effect. Multiple indicators are selected to evaluate the pharmacological activity. In fingerprints, 21 common peaks are obtained, five of which are identified. Furthermore, gray relational analysis (GRA) is a quantitative method of gray system theory and is used to describe the correlation degree of common peaks and pharmacological activities with relational value. 21 components are then divided into three different regions, of which ononin and calycosin play an extremely significant role in increasing PBM. In addition, factor analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) are used to screen the optimal producing area for Radix Hedysari. This provides a comprehensive and efficient method to improve the quality evaluation of Radix Hedysari, confirming the bioactive components for PBM-enhancement and further develop its medicinal value.

文摘The climatic factors affecting potato yields in western Guizhou were analyzed by using the way of grey correlation degree and principal component analysis.The average yield of potato from 1978 to 2008 in western Guizhou was used as the sequence of numbers for reference.And the climatic factors including accumulated temperature(≥5 ℃),average temperature,precipitation,sunshine hours,daily average maximum temperature and daily average minimum temperature from March to August of potato at growth stage were used as the series for comparison.The results showed that the three integrative factors including temperature,moisture and light had a synergistic effect on potato production.The heat factor played a leading role in potato production with abundant light and ample water supply.Gray correlation analysis and principal component analysis could be used to estimate the influence factors of potato yield in western Guizhou.Very good agreement was found between the evaluation results obtained by the above-mentioned two methods.

文摘Tropical hurricanes are among the most devastating hazards on Earth.Knowledge about its intense inner-core structure and dynamics will improve hurricane forecasts and advisories.The precise morphological parameters extracted from high-resolution spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images,can play an essential role in further exploring and monitoring hurricane dynamics,especially when hurricanes undergo amplification,shearing,eyewall replacements and so forth.Moreover,these parameters can help to build guidelines for wind calibration of the more abundant,but lower resolution scatterometer wind data,thus better linking scatterometer wind fields to hurricane categories.In this paper,we develop a new method for automatically extracting the hurricane eyes from C-band SAR data by constructing Gray Level-Gradient Co-occurrence Matrices(GLGCMs).The hurricane eyewall is determined with a two-dimensional vector,generated by maximizing the class entropy of the hurricane eye region in GLGCM.The results indicate that when the hurricane is weak,or the eyewall is not closed,the hurricane eye extracted with this automatic method still agrees with what is observed visually,and it preserves the texture characteristics of the original image.As compared to Du’s wavelet analysis method and other morphological analysis methods,the approach developed here has reduced artefacts due to factors like hurricane size and has lower programming complexity.In summary,the proposed method provides a new and elegant choice for hurricane eye morphology extraction.
