THE LOGARITHMIC SOBOLEV INEQUALITY FOR A SUBMANIFOLD IN MANIFOLDS WITH ASYMPTOTICALLY NONNEGATIVE SECTIONAL CURVATURE

In this note,we prove a logarithmic Sobolev inequality which holds for compact submanifolds without a boundary in manifolds with asymptotically nonnegative sectional curvature.Like the Michale-Simon Sobolev inequality,this inequality contains a term involving the mean curvature.

Weak and Strong Convergence of Self Adaptive Inertial Subgradient Extragradient Algorithms for Solving Variational Inequality Problems

Many solutions of variational inequalities have been proposed,among which the subgradient extragradient method has obvious advantages.Two different algorithms are given for solving variational inequality problem in this paper.The problem we study is defined in a real Hilbert space and has L-Lipschitz and pseudomonotone condition.Two new algorithms adopt inertial technology and non-monotonic step size rule,and their convergence can still be proved when the value of L is not given in advance.Finally,some numerical results are designed to demonstrate the computational efficiency of our two new algorithms.

A Study of Triangle Inequality Violations in Social Network Clustering

Clustering a social network is a process of grouping social actors into clusters where intra-cluster similarities among actors are higher than inter-cluster similarities. Clustering approaches, i.e. , k-medoids or hierarchical, use the distance function to measure the dissimilarities among actors. These distance functions need to fulfill various properties, including the triangle inequality (TI). However, in some cases, the triangle inequality might be violated, impacting the quality of the resulting clusters. With experiments, this paper explains how TI violates while performing traditional clustering techniques: k-medoids, hierarchical, DENGRAPH, and spectral clustering on social networks and how the violation of TI affects the quality of the resulting clusters.

AGGREGATE SPECIAL FUNCTIONS TO APPROXIMATE PERMUTING TRI-HOMOMORPHISMS AND PERMUTING TRI-DERIVATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH A TRI-ADDITIVEψ-FUNCTIONAL INEQUALITY IN BANACH ALGEBRAS

In this paper,we define a new class of control functions through aggregate special functions.These class of control functions help us to stabilize and approximate a tri-additiveψ-functional inequality to get a better estimation for permuting tri-homomorphisms and permuting tri-derivations in unital C*-algebras and Banach algebras by the vector-valued alternative fixed point theorem.

Verification of the Landau Equation and Hardy’s Inequality

We prove the L estimate for the isotropic version of the homogeneous landau problem, which was explored by M. Gualdani and N. Guillen. As shown in a region of the smooth potentials range under values of the interaction exponent (2), a weighted Poincaré inequality is a natural consequence of the traditional weighted Hardy inequality, which in turn implies that the norms of solutions propagate in the L1 space. Now, the L estimate is based on the work of De Giorgi, Nash, and Moser, as well as a few weighted Sobolev inequalities.

NOTES ON THE LOG-BRUNN-MINKOWSKI INEQUALITY

Böröczky-Lutwak-Yang-Zhang proved the log-Brunn-Minkowski inequality for two origin-symmetric convex bodies in the plane in a way that is stronger than for the classical Brunn-Minkowski inequality.In this paper,we investigate the relative positive center set of planar convex bodies.As an application of the relative positive center,we prove the log-Minkowski inequality and the log-Brunn-Minkowski inequality.

The Bell Inequality, Inviolable by Data Used Consistently with Its Derivation, Is Satisfied by Quantum Correlations Whose Probabilities Satisfy the Wigner Inequality

It is not generally known that the inequality that Bell derived using three random variables must be identically satisfied by any three corresponding data sets of ±1’s that are writable on paper. This surprising fact is not immediately obvious from Bell’s inequality derivation based on causal random variables, but follows immediately if the same mathematical operations are applied to finite data sets. For laboratory data, the inequality is identically satisfied as a fact of pure algebra, and its satisfaction is independent of whether the processes generating the data are local, non-local, deterministic, random, or nonsensical. It follows that if predicted correlations violate the inequality, they represent no three cross-correlated data sets that can exist, or can be generated from valid probability models. Reported data that violate the inequality consist of probabilistically independent data-pairs and are thus inconsistent with inequality derivation. In the case of random variables as Bell assumed, the correlations in the inequality may be expressed in terms of the probabilities that give rise to them. A new inequality is then produced: The Wigner inequality, that must be satisfied by quantum mechanical probabilities in the case of Bell experiments. If that were not the case, predicted quantum probabilities and correlations would be inconsistent with basic algebra.

Some Refinement of Holder’s and Its Reverse Inequality

Holder’s inequality, its refinement, and reverse have received considerable attention in the theory of mathematical analysis and differential equations. In this paper, we give some refinements of Holder’s inequality and its reverse using a simple analytical technique of algebra and calculus. Our results show many results related to holder’s inequality as special cases of the inequalities presented.

TRANSPORTATION COST-INFORMATION INEQUALITY FOR A STOCHASTIC HEAT EQUATION DRIVEN BY FRACTIONAL-COLORED NOISE

In this paper,we prove Talagrand’s T2 transportation cost-information inequality for the law of stochastic heat equation driven by Gaussian noise,which is fractional for a time variable with the Hurst index H∈(1/2,1),and is correlated for the spatial variable.The Girsanov theorem for fractional-colored Gaussian noise plays an important role in the proof.

THE FEKETE-SZEG?INEQUALITY AND SUCCESSIVE COEFFICIENTS DIFFERENCE FOR A SUBCLASS OF CLOSE-TO-STARLIKE MAPPINGS IN COMPLEX BANACH SPACES

Let C be the familiar class of normalized close-to-convex functions in the unit disk.In[17],Koepf demonstrated that,as to a function■in the class C,■By applying this inequality,it can be proven that‖a3|-|a2‖≤1 for close-to-convex functions.Now we generalized the above conclusions to a subclass of close-to-starlike mappings defined on the unit ball of a complex Banach space.

Inertial Subgradient Extragradient Algorithm for Solving Variational Inequality Problems with Pseudomonotonicity

In order to solve variational inequality problems of pseudomonotonicity and Lipschitz continuity in Hilbert spaces, an inertial subgradient extragradient algorithm is proposed by virtue of non-monotone stepsizes. Moreover, weak convergence and R-linear convergence analyses of the algorithm are constructed under appropriate assumptions. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through numerical implementations.

Structural Gender Inequality and Mental Health among Chinese Men and Women

Little is known about the association between structural gender inequality and health in patriarchal China.This study employed a sample from the Chinese Women’s Social Status,consisting of 26,139 participants aged 18 and 70 years(13,494 women and 12,645 men).Structural gender inequality was assessed at the macro-,meso-,and micro-levels.Mental health was measured by the summed scores of eight questions on depressive symptoms.Multilevel linear regression was applied for analysis.Results showed that total sex ratio at birth was associated with poorer mental health among women and men but sex ratio at birth of the second-born child predicted better mental health.Gender inequality at meso-level resulted in poorer mental health and gender inequality at micro-level was associated with poorer mental health both for men and women.Eliminating structural gender inequality promotes populations’mental health in China.

Understanding the educational inequalities in suicide attempts and their mediators:a Mendelian randomisation study

Background Educational inequalities in suicide have become increasingly prominent over the past decade.Elucidating modifiable risk factors that serve as intermediaries in the impact of low educational attainment on suicide has the potential to reduce health disparities.Aims To examine the risk factors that mediate the relationship between educational attainment and suicide attempts and quantify their contributions to the mediation effect.Methods We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomisation(MR)analysis to estimate the causal effect of educational attainment on suicide attempts,utilising genome-wide association study summary statistics from the Integrative Psychiatric Research(iPSYCH;6024 cases and 44240 controls)and FinnGen(8978 cases and 368299 controls).We systematically evaluated 42 putative mediators within the causal pathway connecting reduced educational attainment to suicide attempts and employed two-step and multivariable MR to quantify the proportion of the mediated effect.Results In the combined analysis of iPSYCH and FinnGen,each standard deviation(SD)decrease in genetically predicted educational attainment(equating to 3.4 years of education)was associated with a 105%higher risk of suicide attempts(odds ratio(OR):2.05;95%confidence interval(Cl):1.81 to 2.31).0f the 42 risk factors analysed,the two-step MR identified five factors that mediated the association between educational attainment and suicide attempts.The respective proportions of mediation were 47%(95%Cl:29%to 66%)for smoking behaviour,36%(95%Cl:0%to 84%)for chronic pain,49%(95%Cl:36%to 61%)for depression,35%(95%Cl:12%to 59%)for anxiety and 26%(95%Cl:18%to 34%)for insomnia.Multivariable MR implicated these five mediators collectively,accounting for 68%(95%Cl:40%to 96%)of the total effect.Conclusions This study identified smoking,chronic pain and mental disorders as primary intervention targets for attenuating suicide risk attributable to lower educational levels in the European population.

STRONGLY CONVERGENT INERTIAL FORWARD-BACKWARD-FORWARD ALGORITHM WITHOUT ON-LINE RULE FOR VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES

This paper studies a strongly convergent inertial forward-backward-forward algorithm for the variational inequality problem in Hilbert spaces.In our convergence analysis,we do not assume the on-line rule of the inertial parameters and the iterates,which have been assumed by several authors whenever a strongly convergent algorithm with an inertial extrapolation step is proposed for a variational inequality problem.Consequently,our proof arguments are different from what is obtainable in the relevant literature.Finally,we give numerical tests to confirm the theoretical analysis and show that our proposed algorithm is superior to related ones in the literature.

Gronwall-Bellman不等式及其在双时滞微分系统中的运用

本文运用推广的Gronwall-Bellman不等式研究分数阶双时滞微分系统的有限时间稳定性.首先,通过适当的积分变换将Gronwall-Bellman不等式在整数阶双时滞积分系统中进行推广.其次,利用所得结论,并结合H lder不等式、Minkowski不等式、Jensen不等式以及换元法等方法将Gronwall-Bellman不等式推广到分数阶双时滞的积分系统中.最后,运用上述所得结论,研究分数阶双时滞微分系统的有限时间稳定性.

Vacuum Correlations, Detector Efficiency Fluctuations and Classical Dynamic Violations of CH-Inequality

We study in this paper the possible influence of vacuum fluctuations on photo detection and its background noise in Bell tests. We analyze its consequences on the standard statistical analysis of data showing that it is not fulfilled anymore the conventional hypothesis of a Poisson like probability density distribution of single photodetection events. We assume that vacuum fluctuations are due to real and measurable fluctuating fields, as recently confirmed experimentally, and that their non null correlations outside the light cone contribute to photon coincidence rates making them time dependent. We introduce a generalized Bell like correlation function which contains a new term due to supposed vacuum induced photon counting events. We deduce then a generalization of CH-inequality which takes in account the effect of these vacuum electric fields on detector efficiency. We predict an apparatus temperature fluctuations during photon detection which we suggest could be observed by looking for colored noise thermal emission of the photodetectors, generalizing the standard white noise prediction of C.S.L. models on wave function collapse postulate. We discuss an experimental test of this prediction, based on the idea of inducing a thermal wave on the whole quantum detectors, aimed to observe time dependent deviations from standard stationary statistical predictions of Quantum Mechanics.

ON BONNESEN-STYLE SYMMETRIC MIXED ISOHOMOTHETIC INEQUALITY IN R^2

In this paper, we investigate the translative containment measure for a convex domain Ki to contain, or to be contained in the homothetic copy of another convex domain tKj(t ≥ 0). Via the formulas of translative Blaschke and Poincaré in integral formula, we obtain a Bonnesen-style symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequality. The Bonnesen-style symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequality obtained is known as Bonnesen-style inequality if one of the domains is a disc. As a direct consequence, we attain an inequality which strengthen the result proved by Bonnesen, Blaschké and Flanders. Furthermore, by the containment measure and Blaschke's rolling theorem, we obtain the reverse Bonnesen-style symmetric mixed isohomothetic inequalities. These inequalities are the analogues of the known Bottema's result in 1933.

SLANT IMMERSIONS OF COMPLEX SPACE FORMS AND CHEN'S INEQUALITY

A submanifold in a complex space form is called slant if it has constant Wirtinger angles. B. Y. Chen and Y. Tazawa proved that there do not exist minimal proper slant surfaces in CP2 and CH2. So it seems that the slant immersion has some interesting properties. The authors have great interest to consider slant immersions satisfying some additional conditions, such as unfull first normal bundles or Chen’s equality holding. They prove that there do not exist n-dimensional Kaehlerian slant immersions in CPn and CHn with unfull first normal bundles. Next, it is seen that every Kaehlerian slant submanifold satisfying an equality of Chen is minimal which is similar to that of Lagrangian immersions. But in contrast, it is shown that a large class of slant immersions do not exist thoroughly. Finally, they give an application of Chen’s inequality to general slant immersions in a complex projective space, which generalizes a result of Chen.

THE HADAMARD INEQUALITY FOR CONVEX FUNCTION VIA FRACTIONAL INTEGRALS

In this paper, we establish several inequalities for some differantiable mappings that are connected with the Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. The analysis used in the proofs is fairly elementary.

BURKHOLDER-GUNDY-DAVIS INEQUALITY IN MARTINGALE HARDY SPACES WITH VARIABLE EXPONENT

In this article, by extending classical Dellacherie＇s theorem on stochastic se- quences to variable exponent spaces, we prove that the famous Burkholder-Gundy-Davis in- equality holds for martingales in variable exponent Hardy spaces. We also obtain the variable exponent analogues of several martingale inequalities in classical theory, including convexity lemma, Chevalier＇s inequality and the equivalence of two kinds of martingale spaces with predictable control. Moreover, under the regular condition on σ-algebra sequence we prove the equivalence between five kinds of variable exponent martingale Hardy spaces.
