The rapid development of SDN and NFV makes the network more dynamic, bringing serious challenges to traditional deep inspection matching engines. However, state-of-theart matching methods often require a significant amount of pre-processing time and hence are not suitable for this fast updating scenario. However, the inter-block interference (IBI) and inter-carrier interference (ICI) in an OFDM system affect the performance. To mitigate IBI and ICI, some pre-processing approaches have been proposed based on full channel state information (CSI), which improved the system performance. A pre-processing filter based on partial CSI at the transmitter is designed and investigated. The filter coefficient is given by the optimization processing, the symbol error rate (SER) is tested, and the computation complexity of the proposed scheme is analyzed. Preprocessing of ice cores has direct impacts on the data quality control for further analysis since the conventional ice core processing is time-consuming, produces qualitative data, leads to ice mass loss, and leads to risks of potential secondary pollution. However, over the past several decades, preprocessing of ice cores has received less attention than the improvement of ice drilling, the analytical methodology of various indices, and the researches on the climatic and environmental significance of ice core records. Therefore, this papers reviews the development of the processing for ice cores including framework, design as well as materials, analyzes the technical advantages and disadvantages of the different systems. In the past, continuous flowanalysis(CFA) has been successfully applied to process the polar ice cores. However, it is not suitable for ice cores outside polar region because of high level of particles, the memory effect between samples, and the filtration before injection. Ice core processing is a subtle and professional operation due to the fragility of the nonmetallic materials and the random distribution of particles and air bubbles in ice cores, which aggravates uncertainty in the measurements. The future developments of CFA are discussed in preprocessing, memory effect, challenge for brittle ice, coupling with real-time analysis and optimization of CFA in the field. Furthermore, non-polluting cutters with many different configurations could be designed to cut and scrape in multiple directions and to separate inner and outer portions of the core. This system also needs to be coupled with streamlined operation of packaging, coding, and stacking that can be implemented at high resolution and rate, avoiding manual intervention. At the same time, information of the longitudinal sections could be scanned andidentified, and then classified to obtain quantitative data. In addition, irregular ice volume and weight can also be obtained accurately. These improvements are recorded automatically via user-friendly interfaces. These innovations may be applied to other paleomedias with similar features and needs.展开更多

How to eliminate the effect of the noise constitutes a challenging problem in microarray analysis. Efficient denoising is often a necessary and the first step to be taken before the image data is analyzed to compensate for data corruption and for effective utilization for these data. Hence preprocessing of microarray image is an essential to eliminate the background noise in order to enhance the image quality and effective quantification. Existing denoising techniques based on transformed domain have been utilized for microarray noise reduction with their own limitations. The objective of this paper is to introduce novel preprocessing techniques such as optimized spatial resolution (OSR) and spatial domain filtering (SDF) for reduction of noise from microarray data and reduction of error during quantification process for estimating the microarray spots accurately to determine expression level of genes. These disasters disrupt the continuity of the loess and pose significant threats to engineering construction safety along transportation routes. Nevertheless, the crack characteristics and the influence zone of ground fissures in the loess layer remain inadequately investigated. To effectively prevent and control ground fissure disasters, physical model tests and the PFC(particle flow code) numerical simulation method are used to investigate the crack mechanism of buried ground fissures in the loess layer. The results show that there are two main cracks in the layer profile, which have a Y-shape morphology. As the dip angle of the preset cracks increased from 60° to 90°, the main deformation zone at the surface gradually shifted towards the footwall. The process of crack propagation from depth to surface is divided into five stages. Additionally, the results confirm the accuracy of the width of the rupture zone d2in the footwall calculated by the cantilever beam theory. These findings can offer theoretical guidance for determining the avoidance distance of ground fissures in loess regions, as well as for implementing disaster prevention and corresponding control measures for various stages of buried ground fissure propagation.展开更多

文摘The utilization of stone columns has emerged as a popular ground improvement strategy, whereas the drainage performance can be adversely hampered by clogging effect.Despite the ample progress of calculation methods for the consolidation of stone column-improved ground, theoretical investigations into the clogging effect have not been thoroughly explored.Furthermore,it is imperative to involve the column consolidation deformation to mitigate computational error on the consolidation of composite ground with high replacement ratios. In this context,an analytical model accounting for the initial clogging and coupled time and depth-dependent clogging of stone columns is established. Then, the resulting governing equations and analytical solutions are obtained under a new flow continuity relationship to incorporate column consolidation deformation. The accuracy and reliability of the proposed model are illustrated by degradation analysis and case studies with good agreements.Subsequently, the computed results of the current study are juxtaposed against the existing models, and an in-depth assessment of the impacts of several crucial parameters on the consolidation behavior is conducted. The results reveal that ignoring column consolidation deformation leads to an overestimate of the consolidation rate, with maximum error reaching up to 16%as the replacement ratio increases.Furthermore, the initial clogging also has a significant influence on the consolidation performance.Additionally, the increment of depth and time-clogging factors a and b will induce a noticeable retardation of the consolidation process, particularly in the later stage.

文摘Recently, the application of Bayesian updating to predict excavation-induced deformation has proven successful and improved prediction accuracy significantly. However, updating the ground settlement profile, which is crucial for determining potential damage to nearby infrastructures, has received limited attention. To address this, this paper proposes a physics-guided simplified model combined with a Bayesian updating framework to accurately predict the ground settlement profile. The advantage of this model is that it eliminates the need for complex finite element modeling and makes the updating framework user-friendly.Furthermore,the model is physically interpretable, which can provide valuable references for construction adjustments. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through two field case studies, showing that it can yield satisfactory predictions for the settlement profile.

文摘During the construction of cast-in-place piles in warm permafrost, the heat carried by concrete and the cement hydration reaction can cause strong thermal disturbance to the surrounding permafrost.Since the bearing capacity of the pile is quite small before the full freeze-back,the quick refreezing of the native soils surrounding the cast-in-place pile has become the focus of the infrastructure construction in permafrost. To solve this problem, this paper innovatively puts forward the application of the artificial ground freezing(AGF)method at the end of the curing period of cast-in-place piles in permafrost.A field test on the AGF was conducted at the Beiluhe Observation and Research Station of Frozen Soil Engineering and Environment(34°51.2'N,92°56.4'E)in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau(QTP),and then a 3-D numerical model was established to investigate the thermal performance of piles using AGF under different engineering conditions.Additionally, the long-term thermal performance of piles after the completion of AGF under different conditions was estimated.Field experiment results demonstrate that AGF is an effective method to reduce the refreezing time of the soil surrounding the piles constructed in permafrost terrain, with the ability to reduce the pile-soil interface temperatures to below the natural ground temperature within 3 days.Numerical results further prove that AGF still has a good cooling effect even under unfavorable engineering conditions such as high pouring temperature, large pile diameter, and large pile length.Consequently, the application of this method is meaningful to save the subsequent latency time and solve the problem of thermal disturbance in pile construction in permafrost. The research results are highly relevant for the spread of AGF technology and the rapid building of pile foundations in permafrost.
文摘Unmanned autonomous helicopter(UAH)path planning problem is an important component of the UAH mission planning system.Aiming to reduce the influence of non-complete ground threat information on UAH path planning,a ground threat prediction-based path planning method is proposed based on artificial bee colony(ABC)algorithm by collaborative thinking strategy.Firstly,a dynamic threat distribution probability model is developed based on the characteristics of typical ground threats. The dynamic no-fly zone of the UAH is simulated and established by calculating the distribution probability of ground threats in real time. Then,a dynamic path planning method for UAH is designed in complex environment based on the real-time prediction of ground threats.By adding the collision warning mechanism to the path planning model, the flight path could be dynamically adjusted according to changing no-fly zones.Furthermore,a hybrid enhanced ABC algorithm is proposed based on collaborative thinking strategy. The proposed algorithm applies the leader-member thinking mechanism to guide the direction of population evolution, and reduces the negative impact of local optimal solutions caused by collaborative learning update strategy, which makes the optimization performance of ABC algorithm more controllable and efficient. Finally, simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed ground threat prediction path planning method.

文摘Twin curved tunnels are often encountered in shield tunnelling, where significant complexities in densely exploited underground space are observed. In this study, the ground settlement and tunnel deformation due to twin-curved shield tunnelling in soft ground were investigated using numerical simulation and field monitoring.Different curvature radii of twin curved tunnels and subsequent effects of tunnel construction were considered to reveal the tunnelling effect on ground surface settlement and tunnel deformation. The results show that the settlement trough yields one offset towards inside of curved shield tunnelling. The location of settlement trough and maximum settlement were affected by curvature radius but except for the shape and width of settlement trough.Adjacent parallel twin-curved shield tunnelling could increase the offset of existing settlement trough and maximum settlement. Then,an empirical prediction of surface settlement trough due to twin-curved shield tunnelling with same tunnel diameters in soft clay was proposed, which was applicable to curvature radius less than 800 m.Finally,a minimum radius of 600 m of curvature tunnel was proposed in terms of allowable convergence deformation of tunnel. The result could provide guidance on safety evaluation for twin curved shield tunnelling construction.
文摘Current practice of underground artificial ground freezing(AGF)typically involves huge refrigeration systems of large economic and environmental costs. In this study,a novel AGF technique is proposed deploying available cold wind in cold regions. This is achieved by a static heat transfer device called thermosyphon equipped with an air insulation layer.A refrigeration unit can be optionally integrated to meet additional cooling requirements. The introduction of air insulation isolates the thermosyphon from ground zones where freezing is not needed, resulting in:(1)steering the cooling resources(cold wind or refrigeration)towards zones of interest;and(2)minimizing refrigeration load. This design is demonstrated using well-validated mathematical models from our previous work based on two-phase enthalpy method of the ground coupled with a thermal resistance network for the thermosyphon. Two Canadian mines are considered:the Cigar Lake Mine and the Giant Mine. The results show that our proposed design can speed the freezing time by 30%at the Giant Mine and by two months at the Cigar Lake Mine.Further,a cooling load of 2.4 GWh can be saved at the Cigar Lake Mine.Overall, this study provides mining practitioners with sustainable solutions of underground AGF.

文摘The distribution of the nuclear ground-state spin in a two-body random ensemble(TBRE)was studied using a general classification neural network(NN)model with two-body interaction matrix elements as input features and the corresponding ground-state spins as labels or output predictions. The quantum many-body system problem exceeds the capability of our optimized NNs in terms of accurately predicting the ground-state spin of each sample within the TBRE.However, our NN model effectively captured the statistical properties of the ground-state spin because it learned the empirical regularity of the ground-state spin distribution in TBRE,as discovered by physicists.

文摘The Fenwei Basin, covered by loess, experiences severe ground fissure disasters. These findings can offer theoretical guidance for determining the avoidance distance of ground fissures in loess regions, as well as for implementing disaster prevention and corresponding control measures for various stages of buried ground fissure propagation.

文摘Earthquake investigations have shown that near-fault pulse-like(NF-P)ground motions have unique characteristics compared to near-fault non-pulse-like(NF-NP)and far-field(FF)ground motions. It is necessary to study the seismic response of pile-supported wharf(PSW)structures under NF-P ground motions. In this study,a three-dimensional finite element numerical model is created to simulate a PSW.By imparting three types of ground motion, the engineering demand parameters(EDPs)of PSW under NF-P ground motions were analyzed and compared,in which EDPs are the maximum displacement and bending moment of the piles.Twenty intensity measures(IMs)were selected to characterize the properties of ground motions. The correlation between IMs and EDPs was explored. The results show that the piles present larger displacement and bending moment under NF-P ground motions compared to NF-NP and FF ground motions.None of the IMs have a high correlation with EDPs under NF-P ground motions, and these IMs are more applicable to FF ground motions. The correlation coefficients between EDPs and IMs under three types of ground motion were obtained, which will provide a valuable reference for the seismic design of PSWs.
