This paper deals with the new megascopic algal fossils in the Early Cambrian also from Chengjiang Biota at Ercai Village, Haikou, Kunming, Yunnan, southwest China. Two new taxa, Longfengshania cordata sp. nov. and Plantulaformis sinensis gen. et sp. nov. are described here in detail. These new findings show that the Chengjiang Biota is high in species diversity of fossil algae and might offer new evidence for a better understanding of the Cambrian explosive biological evolution. Moreover, the fossils described here might belong to the megaalgal fossils according to detailed morphological study on the relationships of Longfengshania. Additionally, the occurrence of Longfengshania in the early Cambrian and the Neoproterozoic probably indicates a wide ecological tolerance and flexibility and apparently reflects its evolutionary conservation and a high degree of inherent genetic stability.展开更多

Dissolved Cu and Zn concentrations are relatively high at the stations near the Longkun Road Outfall for domestic sewage, the Xiuying Outfall for industry waste water and the Haidian Island Estuary, but dissolved Pb and Cd concentrations are low in these stations. The values in Other stations are comparatively homogenous. Vertical dissolved Cu, Pb and Zn concentrations at the bottom layer are higher than at the surface layer, but dissolved Cd concentration appears to be on the opposite. The measurement results of Cu, Pb, Zn and Cd in suspended particle show that particulate matters in the Haikou Bay seawater play a role in purifying heavy metals. The study on strong complexed form and non-liable form of dissolved copper show that the ratio of strong complexed form and dissolved form is about 85%, and non-liable form is very low with a value lower than 5 nmol/dm^3. Therefore, copper in the Haikou Bay seawater cannot cause influence on marine organisms.展开更多

Based on the statistics of typh...Water quality parameters such as pH, DO, COD, PQ4 - P, SiO3 - Si, NO2 - N, NO3 -N in the Haikou Bay were monitored respectively before and after Typhoon 9618 occurring on Sep. 18, 1996. Based on the statistics of typhoon in the Haikou Bay and numerical calculation of stormy current, the mechanism of water quality variation caused by typhoon is discussed. The typhoon impact on the Haikou Bay usually appears between July and November, most usually between August and October. The monitoring results before a typhoon were different from that. The stormy wave and windstorm cur-rent stir up the sediment in near-shore bottom and make the bottom water mix with the surface water strongly, specially windstorm current with strong velocity at the head of the bay stirs up higher pollutants sediment near sea area of sewage outfall, and heavy rain with typhoon carries the pollutants from land through the Nandu River to the Haikou Bay, so the contents of COD, PO4 - P, NO4 - N, NO3 ~N, SiO3 after a typhoon are higher than those before. Windstorm current is violent, which makes offshore high DO water exchange more frequently with inner bay water and oxygen in the air dissolves in sea water faster, so DO content after typhoon is higher than that before typhoon. This strong action of water exchange also causes lower pH change before and after the typhoon.展开更多

The accuracy of ACC measurement results is tested theoreti-cally and experimentally . Based on determination of ACC Cu, ACC Pb and ACC Cd, copper was selected for complexo-metric titration to determine ACC and the results are proved to be reasonable. ACC Cu measured in the Haikou Bay sur-face water is in the range of 166 . 4  ̄ 320 . 2 nmol/dm3, with the mean value of 240 . 9 nmol/dm3, the maximum valuearound domestic drainage outfall, and the values in other stations are comparatively homogenous. The condition forma-tion constant is in the range of 3 . 46 x 107  ̄ 4 . 76 x 108, and the mean value is 1 . 7 x 108 . Based on the 1 : 1 comlexingmodel of copper-natural organic ligand and the toxic concentration limit to marine organisms, seawater self-purificationcapacity in the Haikou Bay is calculated to be 7 . 43 ug/dm3 .展开更多

According to the results, tropical garden landscapes have taken a dominant status in the last 2 decades; tropical farmland landscapes have had the most complicate shapes; tropical open forest landscapes have been most influenced by human interventions but had the best connectivity and high degree of concentration; tropical settlement landscapes and tropical meadow landscapes have been widely scattered with poor connectivity; landscape connectivity has been well maintained; contagion index has changed slightly, landscape equilibrium has been stable; landscape diversity has been maintained, all landscape types have been evenly distributed, landscape fragmentation has increased, and landscape heterogeneity has grown.展开更多

The freezing damage to them was analyzed here. The results showed that in the families of E. dunnii,families suffering severe and especially severe freezing damage accounted for 7. 7%,while 92. 3% of families suffered moderate and below freezing damage; in the families of E. smithii,56. 7% of families suffered severe and especially severe freezing damage,while families suffering moderate and below freezing damage accounted for 43. 3%. There was significant difference between two species of eucalyptuses in tree height( P 〈0. 05),while there was extremely significant difference in freezing damage grade and index( P 〈0. 01). There was significantly negative correlation between the tree height and freezing damage grade of E. dunnii and E. smithii,with the correlation coefficients of- 0. 374 and- 0. 234. Objective:Explore the influencing factors of Hyperuricemia(HUA)in natural people aged 35-74 in Haikou.Methods:Between June 2017 and December 2020,8754 different study subjects aged 35-74 years were enrolled for the ba...Objective:Explore the influencing factors of Hyperuricemia(HUA)in natural people aged 35-74 in Haikou.Methods:Between June 2017 and December 2020,8754 different study subjects aged 35-74 years were enrolled for the baseline survey at the physical examination center of a tri partite hospital in Haikou.Results:Overall detection rate of HUA was 18.5%,including 25.6%in male and 10.4%in female.HUA detection rates varied between the 35-45 and 46-55 age groups(P<0.05).The binary logistic results showed that high blood pressure,triglyceride,low density lipoprotein and creatinine were the risk factors of HUA(P<0.05).Conclusions:The baseline survey results show that the detection rate of HUA in a hospital in Haikou is relatively high.Men and groups with high blood pressure,creatinine,triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein should be the key groups for the early prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia(HUA).展开更多
