This paper presents a detailed analysis of the environmental geological hazards both natural and those incurred by human activities in different morphologic units. The authors point out that most of the regional environmental geological problems in the natural geologic-morphologic conditions, such as crustal stability, foundation of soft soil, soil waterlogging and soil erosion, have insignificant effects to the society, or related countermeasures of prevention and control have been adopted. But environmental geological problems incurred by human being's economic activities become more and more severe, for example, water and soil pollution and land subsidence in plain areas resulting from overexploitation of groundwater, and landslides, karst collapses and water and soil loss etc. caused by quarrying in hilly areas.展开更多

Wuxing District and Nanxun District were classified into eight types by using Remote Sensing data, which were forest, grassland, shrub, paddy field, dry land, bare land, water and wetland. The indexes of ecosystem services of each type of land cover were divided six items, such as the producing organic matter, assimilating CO2, releasing O2, recycling nutrient matter, holding water, and conserving soil and water. The results showed that the value of ecosystem services for Huzhou City in 2001, 2002, and 2003 was 194.82×10^8 yuan, 207.68×10^8 yuan, 173.56×10^8 yuan, respectively. Anji County of five regionalisms had the best environment conditions among all the districts, which played the most important role in ameliorating the ecological environment for Huzhou City. Environment conditions of Deqing County were at the worst level. The GDP per capita and per unit area of each county (district) was in inverse proportion to the value of ecosystem services per capita and per unit area, which implied that the higher GDP was, the more severe contamination of environment was.展开更多

This paper reviews the urban development history of Huzhou Municipality concerned with its planning experiences; sums up its features on four aspects: economic development level, ownership, development stage of its urban groups and their space distribution; analyses the major problemsduring its development process. Besides of this, the paper discusses the development strategy forspace distribution, puts forward the plan of ’three concentrations’ and the concept of ’urban-ruralgroup’ as well as the principle for urban land use and prevision role of developing regional infrastructure in realizing the overall objectives of urban system.展开更多
