The results showed that the detectable days and the days reaching 100% positive rate after onset of illness in specific IgM antibodies were earlier than those in specific IgG antibodies. No significant differences were observed between the titers of specific IgM antibodies on different days after onset of the disease while the titers of specific IgG antibodies differed, significantly on different days after onset of illness (F'= 11. 72,P< 0. 01 ). The titers of specific IgM antibodies in different clinical types were not significantly different at the same illness day but the titers of specific IgG antibodies in various clinical types were significantly different from day 7 to day 8 after onset of disease (F' = 4. 004, P< 0. 05). The levels of specific IgM and IgG antibodies were more stable and the crossings of the IgM and IgG antibody curves presented later in patients with mild and middle clinical types than those in patients with severe and gravis types. These results suggest that the detection of specific IgM antibodies may be useful for the early laboratory diagnosis of HFRS,the excess Production of specific IgG antibodies may play a role in the formation of immune complexes and the exacerbation of pathologic damage in patients with severe and gravis types and the observations of the dynamic changes of specific IgM and IgG antibody curves may have some implications in evaluating the seventies of the disease and the prognosis of the patients with HFRS.展开更多

We investigated the prevalence of T. gondii immunoglobulins G and M (IgG and IgM) in HIV positive individuals in relation to their cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4) cells count. IgG, IgM and CD4 were assayed using enzyme immunoassay (EIA) and flowcytometry respectively. 341 HIV positive individuals were studied in the present research, 30 (8.7%) of them had T. gondii IgG and IgM, 297 subjects had CD4 cells count a range of 200-400 cells/μL, 27 (9.7%) and 2 (0.6%) of which had T. gondii IgG and IgM respectively. Of the 44 HIV positive subjects with CD4 〉 400 cells/μL, one (2.2%) was positive for T. gondii IgG. In the control group, all the 177 had CD4 〉 400 cells/μL of which, one (0.5%) had T. gondii IgG. The prevalence of T. gondii infection was significantly higher in HIV positive individuals than in controls (P 〈 0.05). Male subjects in the age bracket 18-30 years had significantly higher prevalence when compared to other groups (P 〈 0.05). Although the present findings revealed a low prevalence of T. gondii antibodies in HIV infection, this suggests that a differential toxoplasmosis diagnosis is also necessary in cases of encephalitis in HIV infection.展开更多

The objective is to prove the effect of the Toxoplasma gondii concentration in anti-toxoplasma IgG-IgM antibody levels, and the outcomes of Balb/c mice pregnancies. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in Balb/c mice with inclusion criteria, and was conditioned pregnant. The pathogen strains of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoite injected intraperitoneally. The blood samples were taken serially to be tested for anti-toxoplasma IgG-IgM antibody levels. After the mice were injected with tachyzoite, they are assessed every day to observe their body weight, vaginal bleeding, and labor. Anti-toxoplasma IgG-IgM antibody levels examined using qualitative mouse IgG-IgM antibody ELISA KIT. Results: Anti-toxoplasma IgM antibody levels increased significantly after 24 hours of injection tachyzoites in all dose groups, and remained high through day 21. Anti-toxoplasma antibody IgG levels increased significantly after 72 hours post injection and remained elevated until day 21. The incidence of abortion is 100% in mice which injected tachyzoite levels 1 × 103 and 1 × 104, and the incidence of abortion approximately 2 - 4 days post injection. 100% of mice that were injected with tachyzoites 1 × 101 and 1 × 102 have labor at term. Physical anomaly was found in baby mice from mice that were injected with tachyzoite 1 × 102. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between the concentrations of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoite with anti-toxoplasma IgG-IgM antibody levels, and there is a significant relationship between the concentrations of tachyzoite with abortion.展开更多
