PROLIFERATION RATE OF COLONIC NEOPLASMS AND MUCOSA ADJACENT TO NEOPLASMS: IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STUDY

Biopsy specimens of normal mucosa (n=5). adenomas (n -13), adenocarcinomas (n = 8). mucosa adjacent to adenoma (n=10) mucosa adjacent to adenocarcinoma (n = 7 ) at the large bowel were investigated by an iminunohistochemical method using 5- bromodeoxynldine (BrdUrd) . The labeling index (LI) was significantly lower in normal nucosa than mucosa adjacent to neoplasms and adenomas and adenocarcinomas. The proliferative zone was confined to the lower two- third at the crypt in normal mucosa and in mucosa adjacent to neoplasms. The labeled cells were either present in the upper third or scattered along the crust and in surface epithelium. The results support the adenmo-carcinoma sequence.

IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STUDY OF SIXTEEN CASES OF CHORDOMA

Sixteen cases of chordoms were studied with various polycolonal and monoilonal antibodies and ABC technic.such as antibodies S-100 protein, neurou specific enodas(NSE ), lysozyme, α1- AT, Myoglobin, desmin, keratin and cytokeratin. Two embryonic notochords and three chondrosarcomas were studied as control. Most of chordomas revealed positive results with NSE ( 12/16 ). Des ( 12 / 16 ) . α1-AT ( 11/ 16 ), MG( 11/16 ) . S-100( 10 /16)and CK ( 8 / 16 ), while K and Lys were negative in all( 16 )cases. It denotes that chordoma has the potentiality for both mesodermal and ectodermal differentiation. Lys was positive in all 3 chondrosarcomas while the CK was negative. So that Lys can be considered as an useful antibody to distinguish chordoma from chondrosarcoma, and CK is somewhat useful for this differential diagnosis too.

Chromosome G-banding in SituHybridization of RFLP Marker umc58 Linked with the Gene hm1 Dictating Helminthosporium carbonum Susceptibility1 in Maize

Two set of Andrias davidanus fertilized eggs and its seedlings were got by means of artificial reproduction. The sections of the embryo of Andrias davidianus were made by histological method. The expression of homologous sequences of Quox 1 gene has been studied by immunohistochemical method with special antibody. Results show that the expression of homologous sequences of Quox 1 gene was detected in the epidermis of blastula and gastula.The highly expression was investigated in the epidermis at the neural tube phrase and the tail bud stage.

CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCES OF THE EXPRESSION OF METALLO- THIONEIN IN FIVE TYPES EPITHELIUM CELL CANCER

Objective： To study the expressions of （CSC）, bladder transitional cell cancer metallothionein and the significances in cervical squamous cell cancer （BTC）, esophageal squamous cell cancer （ESC）, gastral tubular adenocarcinoma （GC） and large intestinal tubular adenocarcinoma （LIC）. Methods： lmmunohistochemical method was used to examine the expression rates of MT in five types of cancer tissue. Results： The expression rates of MT were 75.00% （24/32） in ESC, 52.27% （46/88） in GTC, 59.46% （44/74） in LIC, 64.86% （48/74） in BTC and 58.57% （41/70） in CSC respectively. The positive rates of MT expression were higher in low differentiation and deep muscular group than those in medium or high differentiation and superficial muscular invasion group （P〈0.05）. Conclusion： The expression of MT is related to differentiation degree and invasion degree.

Expression of IL-34 in Gastric Adenocarcinoma Tissues and Its Relationship with Apoptosis

[Objectives]To explore the expression of interleukin 34(IL-34)in gastric adenocarcinoma tissues and its relationship with apoptosis of gastric adenocarcinoma cells.[Methods]60 cases of surgically resected human gastric adenocarcinoma tissue specimen and 50 cases of adjacent normal gastric mucosa tissue specimen were collected,and the expression of IL-34 protein was determined by immunohistochemical streptavidin-perosidase(SP)method.Cell apoptosis in tissue specimen was detected by TUNEL staining method,and the relationship between IL-34 protein expression and apoptosis of gastric adenocarcinoma cells was analyzed.[Results]Immunohistochemical SP experiment indicated that the expression of IL-34 protein in gastric adenocarcinoma was higher than that in adjacent normal gastric mucosa(P<0.05);its positive expression was related to histological differentiation,TNM stage,invasion depth,and lymph node metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma(P<0.05),but not to gender and age(P>0.05).TUNEL experiment showed that compared with the adjacent normal gastric mucosa group,the apoptosis index(AI)of gastric adenocarcinoma group was significantly lower(P<0.05);the AI was related to histological differentiation,TNM stage,tumor invasion depth and lymph node metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma(P<0.05),but not to gender and age(P>0.05).In gastric adenocarcinoma,the AI of IL-34 positive expression group was lower than that of IL-34 negative expression group,and the results were statistically significant(P<0.05).[Conclusions]IL-34 has high expression in gastric adenocarcinoma tissues and is negatively correlated with cancer cell apoptosis.Abnormal expression of IL-34 is involved in the occurrence and development of gastric adenocarcinoma.This provides a new idea for the pathogenesis research and clinical treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma.
