Common Information Model： A Bus Service for Electric Calculations in AES Eletropaulo

This paper resumes a research project developed in the concession area of AES Eletropaulo, the largest electrical energy distribution company in Brazil. First, the global standards of information exchange within power transmission and distribution area were evaluated, allowing the definition of state of the art on the theme, followed by determining its applications considering technologies already applied by the company. The specifications needed for the generation of a data integration model are adapted to radial overhead network at company concession area. The project developed an intermediary connectivity layer, based on the CIM （common information model）, which enables corporative systems to communicate in a standard way, through the use of integrating technologies. It, therefore, enabled modeling all main subjects of an electrical network in an open, extensible and non-proprietary way, in a model that contains classes and attributes of such subjects, as well as their relationships. Calculation and planning products adopted by the company were integrated to the technological layer implemented.

A study of subject-focused liaison services to its academic constituents under an IC^2 conceptualized program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library

This paper stipulates that the subject-based library liaison service to a university's teaching and research programs with certain embedded distinctive features should become the mainstream modus operandi of its library service. It takes the innovative service program based on an IC2 conceptualized program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library(thereafter abbreviated as SJTUL) as a concrete example to elucidate the merit of such an endeavor. Specifically, this paper discusses the particular development background, overall objectives and service contents of the IC2 motivated program at SJTUL. By presenting a detailed account of some of the key measures, major achievements and also possible future directions of library service development under the guiding principles of SJTUL's IC2 program, these authors hope that its innovative library practice may serve as a reference for other academic librarians to gain some inspirations for their own parallel service innovations or refinement focused on subject-oriented library liaison service to their constituents and parent institution's curricula and research projects.

A Low Resolution Image Restoration Method based on BP Neural Network

In order to investigate the restoration of low resolution images, the linear and nonlinear interpolation methods were applied for the interpolation of the com- mon information matrix obtained from a series of pictures, getting the restructuring matrix. The characteristic block with the best restoration effect was determined by analyzing the pixel difference of the common information of each image at the same position. Then the characteristic blocks and their original blocks were used to build and train neural network. Finally, images were restored by the neural network and the differences between pictures were reduced. Experimental results showed that this method could significantly improve the efficiency and precision of algorithm.

CIM Model Extension for Intelligent DAS of Smart Power Grid in Korea

The CIM （common information model） is an abstract information model that can be used to model an electrical network and various equipments used on the network. By using a common model, utilities and vendors can reduce their integration costs, which should allow more resources to be applied toward increased functionality for managing and optimizing the electrical system. As a part of smart grid, the SPG （smart power grid） was built on Jeju Island. The SPG consists of IDAS （intelligent distribution automation system）, substation automation system, intelligent transmission system, and active telemetrics system. To integrate these systems which have different operating systems and platforms CIM standard was used. But IDAS has many functions and advanced algorithms not defined in CIM. In this paper, the authors introduce how to develop and extend the CIM model for managing the IDAS.

Virtual globe-based integration and sharing service method of GeoSpatial Information

How to integrate and disseminate globally distributed multi-source and heterogeneous spatial information is an open problem in integration and sharing service of geographic information. Here we propose a new service architecture suitable for integra- tion and sharing of distributed multi-source geographic information. We also propose a global virtual pyramid model, which can be applied in 3D virtual globes. In view of the difficulty of web multi-node geographic information sharing service, we propose a web multi-node service aggregation method, integrated in our autonomously developed virtual globe platform Geo- Globe and introduced in the National Platform for Common GeoSpatial Information Services named ＂T1ANDITU＂. It achieves 2D and 3D integration for geographic information service.

A Review on TSO-DSO Data Exchange,CIM Extensions and Interoperability Aspects

The exchange of information between transmission system operators(TSOs)and distribution system operators(DSOs)is a common practice.However,the evolution of the regulatory frameworks in Europe has increased the need for enhancing TSO-DSO data exchange and interoperability.This paper provides an overview of the TSO-DSO data exchanges and demonstrates the best practices using International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC)common information model(CIM),including the implementation of IEC common grid model exchange standard(CGMES),and discussion of the corresponding advantages,disadvantages,and challenges.Furthermore,this paper evaluates and reports the activities already carried out within European projects,with particular focus on TSO-DSO interoperability.Finally,this paper concludes the need for TSOs and DSOs to rely on standard-based solutions when performing TSO-DSO data exchange,which enables the efficient operation and development of the future power systems.
