Survey and Countermeasures on Current Status of Farmer Training and Education Informatization in Western Liaoning Province

This study summarized the main achievements of farmers’training and rural informatization construction in the past few years,and explored the needs of rural informatization in western Liaoning Province.The current status of agricultural development in western Liaoning and farmers’needs for education and training and rural education informatization were surveyed.The construction of an education and technical support service platform for scientific and technological farmers in western Liaoning was proposed,aiming to use information technology to train modern professional farmers.Through independent and self-learning education and training methods,it is expected to promote great improvement in the scientific and technological quality and moral level of farmers in western Liaoning and cultivate professional farmers who are educated and understand both agricultural techniques and business management.

Construction and Practice of Teaching Staff and Teaching Quality Monitoring System in University Affiliated Hospitals Under the Background of Education Informatization

Objective:To build a set of teaching staff construction and teaching quality monitoring system suitable for clinical practice teaching in affiliated hospitals of medical colleges,achieve continuous improvement of clinical education and teaching level,and ensure the quality of medical education talent cultivation.Methods:A modern clinical practice teaching quality monitoring system is constructed based on organizational structure construction,teaching staff system construction,quality control system construction,and information platform construction,combined with external audit and evaluation.Results:The hospital has established a Faculty Development and Teaching Evaluation Office specifically responsible for the cultivation of clinical teachers and the evaluation and supervision of teaching quality.A relatively complete teacher construction and teaching quality monitoring system has also been established for clinical practice teaching,thus achieving integration with the school’s quality control system in terms of management mechanism.At the same time,a set of teaching quality control mode based on the“Internet+”platform has been created by means of informatization.At present,this mode has won three national computer software copyrights and two second prizes for school-level teaching achievements.Conclusion:Through five years of practice,an“Internet+”teaching quality evaluation and monitoring system with the characteristics of teaching hospitals affiliated to local medical colleges has been established.In order to further standardize the training system of clinical teachers in affiliated hospitals,achieve self-monitoring and self-improvement in terms of teaching quality,and ensure the continuous improvement of clinical teaching quality,we will continue to promote the development of clinical teachers with quality and excellence,enrich the main team of quality monitoring,guide the transformation of the education mode from being“centered on teachers”to being“centered on students,”and realize the integration of internal and external quality monitoring systems.

Education Informatization 2.0 in China: Motivation, Framework, and Vision

Purpose:This article aims to shed light on a latest education informatization policy blueprint in China,titled Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan,which was promulgated by the Ministry of Education in China on April 18,2018.Design/Approach/Methods:The study is an analytical policy review based on the policy documents,theoretical discussion,and development of practice.Findings:This new Chinese education informatization policy was driven by three factors:the promotion of education informatization 1.0 in China,the requirement of education moderniza-tion toward 2035,and the response to"Wisdom Education."The framework for action can be summarized as"One Goal,Three Tasks,and Eight Actions/*The main features involve inno vatio n-drive n developme nt rather tha n tech no logy-drive n developme nt,committing to the expansion of digital educational resources rather than the digital presentation of textbooks,and aiming at improving teachers and students'information literacy rather than the applied skills of information technology.The future vision of the plan invoIves building new models on talent cultivation,education service,and education governanee.The new models on talent cultivation inv olve establishi ng"Wisdom Teachi ng"mode,lear ning mode,and in tellige nt lear ning environment supported by artificial intelligenee technology.The new education service models entail building the admission and sharing mechanism of quality educational resources based on National Network for Education and the public service platform and system for educational resources by means of the cloud computing and artificial intelligenee.The new education gov-ernance models inv olve achievi ng precise,flat,and huma nized educatio n go ver nance.Originality/Value:This article entails expo unding the motivation,framework for actio n,main features,and vision of the education informatization 2.0 in China,which will be helpful for learningand understanding the current background,stage,and future path of China's education informatization.

"Suspending Classes Without Stopping Learning":An Initiative to Ensure Learning in Japan During the Pandemic

Purpose:During Japan's initial pandemic prevention and control period,the Ministry of Education,Culture,Sports,Science,and Technology of Japan(MEXT)issued several notifications to ensure students'continuous learning according to the"leave no one behind"philosophy.This study focused on the comprehensive measures comprising top-level arrangements to implement the"suspending classes without stopping learning"initiative.Design/Approach/Methods:The study reviewed MEXT's guide on ensuring learning for Japanese primary and secondary school students during the pandemic.Findings:The pandemic has accelerated the development of the information and communications technology educational environment and the implementation of the Global and Innovation Gateway for All(GIGA)schools initiative.These developments laid the foundation for the evolution of diverse pedagogical models and feasible methods for promoting equity.The home schooling experience during the pandemic provided a natural base for students to practice and foster survivability.Originality/Value:This paper provides scholars with an understanding of the opportunities and challenges encountered in educational innovation in Japan.It provides insights into the future direction of pedagogical development,capability development,and effective educational arrangements for extraordinary circumstances to facilitate educational development from a broader perspective,particularly under the new normal.

Explorations in Teaching Research by a Tutoring Institution in China

Purpose:This article focuses on rarely explored organizational practice of teaching research in China’s private tutoring industry.Taking a large private tutoring institution as an example,the article examines how private tutoring institutions understand and engage in educational explorations of standardization and informatization processes.Design/Approach/Methods:The article is based on a case study of one of the biggest tutoring companies in China.The study started with document analysis of the institutional history,supplemented by interviews with personnel who have worked in the institution since it was founded.Next,the researchers collected empirical data using mixed methods.Quantitative data were obtained from the user database owned by the institution.Qualitative data were collected directly by the researchers through interviews and participant observation.Both qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed from multiple perspectives.Findings:Teaching research in private tutoring institutions commonly differs from that in public schooling.In this particular case,it is technology-driven,student-tailored,and processstandardized.Utilized well,it can supplement the mainstream public education system and promote education innovation and equity throughout the country.Originality/Value:It is hoped that this article could give some insights into the possibility of the cooperation between formal schools and tutoring institutions in the areas of teaching research and other in-class and off-campus activities.The article can also draw public attention to the necessity and benefits of adopting technical methods in the teaching process.
