It's discovered that coal and sandstone failure under load have three kinds of infrared thermal features as well as infrared forewarning messages. That are: (1) temperature rises gradually but drops before failure ; (2) temperature rises gradually but quickly rises before failure; (3) first rises, then drops and lower temperature emerges before failure. The further researches and the prospect of micro-wave remote sensing detection .on ground pressure is also discussed.展开更多

The relation between the response performance of α-Si microbolometer detector and its operating temperature is studied by means of formulas of microbolometer detector's noise equivalent temperature difference(NETD) and detectivity. Numerical analysis based on true parameters demonstrates that the detectivity decreases slightly and NETD increases slightly when operating temperature rises, which indicates that α-Si microbolometer detector has approximately uniform response in a wide operating temperature range. According to these analyses,a thermal imaging system operating at multiple temperatures is designed. The power of thermoelectric stabilizer(TEC) is less than 350 mW and NETD is less than 120 mK in the ambient temperature range of-40 ℃-60 ℃,which shows that this system not only outputs high-quality images but consumes low power.展开更多

Under conditions of brain damage (head injury or stroke) knowledge of changes in the temperature of intracranial tissue is justified because of the vulnerability of neurons to accelerated damage at temperatures at the upper end of the febrile range. Aim: To determine the temperature at the inner canthus (IC) of the eye as a potential surrogate for brain temperature. Methods: Invasive monitoring of deep brain structures, lateral ventricle and deep white matter. IR temperature readings obtained at right and left IC. Results: ?Strong correlations were evident between R and L IC and brain. Close, as well as poor, agreement between?? sites was shown in some patients and at some times. For right hemispheric lesions four had a better correlation between TbrV and TRIC when compared to TLIC.? When the correlation between TbrV and TLIC was better compared to TbrV and TRIC, four had a predominant right hemispheric lesion. Conclusions: Improved techniques for IR thermal imaging accuracy at the bedside has the potential to improve temperature measurement agreement. The predominant lesion side may have a bearing on maximum ipsilateral IC temperature Further studies are ongoing in this pilot study population.展开更多

Under the domain of neighborhood wavelet reconstruction, data of TM and MO DIS are divided into three layers using wavelet decomposition. The texture information of TM data is retained by fusing highfrequency information. The neighborhood correction coefficient method (NC CM) is set up based on the search neighborhood of a certain size to fuse lowfrequency information. Thermal infrared value of MODIS data is reduced to the space value of TM data by applying NCCM. The data with high spectrum, high spatial and high temporal resolution, are obtained through the al gorithm in the paper. Verification results show that the texture information of TM data and high spec tral information of MODIS data could be preserved well by the fusion algorithm. This article could provide technical support for high precision and fast extraction of the surface environment parame ters.展开更多

In the process of hyperthermia, temperature monitoring is of great importance to assure the effectiveness of treatment. The transmission speed of ultrasound in biomedical tissue changes with temperature. However, when mapping the speed of sound directly to temperature in each pixel as desired for using all speeds of ultrasound data, temperature bipolar edge enhancement artifacts occur near the boundary of two tissues with different speeds of ultrasound. After the analysis of the reasons for causing these artifacts, an optimized method is introduced to rebuild the temperature field image by using the continuity constraint as the judgment criterion. The significant smoothness of the rebuilding image in the transitional area shows that our proposed method can build a more precise temperature image for controlling the medical thermal treatment.展开更多

ENVI 4.5 software, and Thermal band 6.2 were used for the estimation, land surface temperature, from Landsat-7 ETM+ imagery sensors acquired as a digital number (DN) range from 0 - 255 in thermal band. DNs were first converted to radiance values in Wm-2·sr-1·μm-1, using the bias and gain values specific to an individual pixel, then the radiance was converted eventually to surface temperature (in Kelvin). The results indicate that there is a significant variation in land surface temperature between the two different seasons in Yola. The mean surface temperatures estimated are 307.9 K and 298.1 K during the dry and rainy seasons respectively. The result obtained was compared with data obtained from Meteorological Department. The estimated land surface temperature showed a good correlation, with a difference of 2 K to 3 K.展开更多

A novel thermal infrared salient human detection model combined with thermal features called TFSHD is proposed. The TFSHD model is still based on U-Net,but the decoder module structure and model lightweight have been redesigned. In order to improve the detection accuracy of the algorithm in complex scenes,a fusion module composed of thermal branch and saliency branch is added to the decoder of the TFSHD model. Furthermore,a predictive loss function that is more sensitive to high temperature regions of the image is designed. Additionally, for the sake of reducing the computing resource requirements of the algorithm,a model lightweight scheme that includes simplifying the encoder network structure and controlling the number of decoder channels is adopted. The experimental results on four data sets show that the proposed method can not only ensure high detection accuracy and robustness of the algorithm, but also meet the needs of real-time detection of patrol robots with detection speed above 40 f/s.展开更多

Currently, military industries don’t distinguish between fabrics with carbon black fibers or with carbon black into dyes or prints. The latter initially allows us to comply with the color specifications in the visible and infrared, but fabrics are degraded with use losing that initial capacity. The inclusion of carbon black in the fiber gets that the fabric doesn’t degrade with the wear, washed and dried, ensuring the accomplishment of the specifications all the time. The use of infrared imaging will allow us to define a method to discriminate those textiles with carbon black in their fibers from those which are dyed or printed.展开更多

First, the forehead temperature was used as an intermediate variable to obtain the actual temperature of human eyes. Then, the effects of environment temperature and measurement distance on the temperature measurement were separately analyzed. Finally, an empirical model was established to correlate actual eye temperature with the measured temperature, environment temperature, and measurement distance. To verify the formula, three different environment temperatures were tested at different distances. The measurement errors were substantially reduced using the empirical model for temperature correction. The results show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of temperature measurement using the infrared thermal imager.展开更多

文摘In order to reveal the temperature change in coal gas desorption process, the temperature variation in coal gas desorption process under different particle sizes is analyzed with infrared thermal imager. The infrared video signals obtained by the experiment are processed with SAT.Then the infrared radiation signals are processed by EMD with Hilbert–Huang and the infrared radiation noise is effectively removed. The research results show that the desorption process, with the change of the temperature,is an endothermic process. The coal absorbs heat when the gas is desorbed and the temperature drops. The coal body temperature drop range is obviously related to coal particle size. The smaller the particle size is,the bigger the temperature drop becomes. The temperature variation curves in the process of coal gas desorption under different particle sizes are fitted, and they comply with the exponential function. The research results lay the theoretical and experimental foundation for non-contact prediction on working face of coal and gas outburst with infrared thermal image technology.
文摘In the experimental study, AGE-782 thermal instrument was used to detect the infrared radiation variation of coal and sandstone (wave-length range 3.6~5.5 μm was used). The further researches and the prospect of micro-wave remote sensing detection .on ground pressure is also discussed.
文摘The reasons why thermal imaging systems consume power are analyzed, and a low power consumption design scheme is presented for the thermal imaging systems operating at multiple temperatures. The power of thermoelectric stabilizer(TEC) is less than 350 mW and NETD is less than 120 mK in the ambient temperature range of-40 ℃-60 ℃,which shows that this system not only outputs high-quality images but consumes low power.

文摘Gait is an essential biomedical feature that distinguishes individuals through walking. This feature automatically stimulates the need for remote human recognition in security-sensitive visual monitoring applications. However, there is still a lack of sufficient accuracy of gait recognition at night,in addition to taking some critical factors that affect the performances of the recognition algorithm. Therefore,a novel approach is proposed to automatically identify individuals from thermal infrared(TIR)images according to their gaits captured at night. This approach uses a new night gait network(NGaitNet)based on similarity deep convolutional neural networks(CNNs)method to enhance gait recognition at night.First, the TIR image is represented via personal movements and enhanced body skeleton segments. Then, the state-space method with a Hough transform is used to extract gait features to obtain skeletal joints′angles. These features are trained to identify the most discriminating gait patterns that indicate a change in human identity. To verify the proposed method, the experimental results are performed by using learning and validation curves via being connected by the Visdom website. The proposed thermal infrared imaging night gait recognition(TIRNGaitNet)approach has achieved the highest gait recognition accuracy rates(99.5%,97.0%),especially under normal walking conditions on the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Automation infrared night gait dataset(CASIA C)and Donghua University thermal infrared night gait database(DHU night gait dataset). On the same dataset, the results of the TIRNGaitNet approach provide the record scores of(98.0%,87.0%)under the slow walking condition and(94.0%,86.0%)for the quick walking condition.
文摘Introduction: Infra-red (IR) thermometry is a safe and valid method to determine internal and surface temperature in human subjects. The predominant lesion side may have a bearing on maximum ipsilateral IC temperature Further studies are ongoing in this pilot study population.

文摘According to the data characteristics of Landsat thematic mapper (TM) and MODIS, a new fu sion algorithm about thermal infrared data has been proposed in the article based on improving wave let reconstruction. This article could provide technical support for high precision and fast extraction of the surface environment parame ters.

文摘Hyperthermia is a promising method to enhance chemo and radiation therapy of breast cancer. The significant smoothness of the rebuilding image in the transitional area shows that our proposed method can build a more precise temperature image for controlling the medical thermal treatment.

文摘After using the "Time-Frequency Relative Power Spectrum"( T-F RPS) method based on the China Geostationary Meteorological Satellite( FY-2 C/FY-2 E) infrared remote sensing brightness temperature data processing,we rapidly and accurately extracted and identified pre-earthquake thermal infrared anomalies for the April 16,2013 MW7. 8 of Khash,Iran Earthquake. Spatial evolution of anomalies showed the distribution and process. The anomalies were mainly distributed in the east of Khash,Iran. The characteristics of process and distribution presented X-Type model of NE and near NS strip which relates to the geological structure of this region. The epicenter was located near the intersection region of the X-Type abnormal migration process. Besides, the results of time series of anomalies showed that, the duration was more than 40 days and the maximum amplitude was about18 times. The earthquake occurred 20 days after the abnormal maximum amplitude which appeared on March 26,2013.
文摘The land surface temperature of Yola (latitude 9°11'N to 9°20'N and longitude 12°23'E to 12°33'E) North-eastern Nigeria was estimated using landsat-7 ETM+ satellite images. The estimated land surface temperature showed a good correlation, with a difference of 2 K to 3 K.

文摘Target detection in low light background is one of the main tasks of night patrol robots for airport terminal. However,if some algorithms can run on a robot platform with limited computing resources,it is difficult for these algorithms to ensure the detection accuracy of human body in the airport terminal. The experimental results on four data sets show that the proposed method can not only ensure high detection accuracy and robustness of the algorithm, but also meet the needs of real-time detection of patrol robots with detection speed above 40 f/s.
文摘The carbon black has been used in military fabrics to comply with the color requirements and infrared radiation lessening criteria. The use of infrared imaging will allow us to define a method to discriminate those textiles with carbon black in their fibers from those which are dyed or printed.
文摘We design and fabricate a 128 × 128 AlGaAs/GaAs quantum well infrared photodetector focal plane array (FPA). The device is achieved by metal organic chemical vapor deposition and GaAs integrated circuit processing technology. A test structure of the photodetector with a mesa size of 300μm × 300μm is also made in order to obtain the device parameters. The measured dark current density at 77K is 1.5 × 10^-3A/cm^2 with a bias voltage of 2V. The peak of the responsivity spectrum is at 8.4μm,with a cutoff wavelength of 9μm. The blackbody detectivity is shown to be 3.95 × 10^8 (cm · Hz^1/2)/W. The final FPA is flip-chip bonded on a CMOS read-out integrated circuit. The infrared thermal images of some targets at room temperature background are successfully demonstrated at 80K operating temperature with a ratio of dead pixels of less than 1%.

文摘In order to reduce the temperature measurement error with the uncooled infrared thermal imager, experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of environment temperature and measurement distance on the measurement error of human eye temperature. The results show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of temperature measurement using the infrared thermal imager.
