A numerical scheme for the nonlinear behavior of structure under wind excitation is investigated. With the white noise filter of turbulent-wind fluctuations, the nonlinear motion equation of structures subjected to wind load was modeled as the Ito' s stochastic differential equation. The state vector associated with such a model is a diffusion process. A continuous linearization strategy in the time-domain was adopted. Based on the solution series of its stochastic linearization equations, the formal probabilistic density of the structure response was developed by the path integral technique. It is shown by the numerical example of a guyed mast that compared with the frequency-domain method and the time-domain nonlinear analysis, the proposed approach is highlighted by high accuracy and effectiveness. The influence of the structure non-linearity on the dynamic reliability assessment is also analyzed in the example. 展开更多

The generalized integral transform technique (GITT) is used to find a semianalytical numerical solution for dynamic response of an axially moving Timoshenko beam with clamped-clamped and simply-supported boundary conditions, respectively. The implementation of GITT approach for analyzing the forced vibration equation eliminates the space variable and leads to systems of second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) in time. The MATHEMATICA built-in function, NDSolve, is used to numerically solve the resulting transformed ODE system. The good convergence behavior of the suggested eigenfunction expansions is demonstrated for calculating the transverse deflection and the angle of rotation of the beam cross-section. Moreover, parametric studies are performed to analyze the effects of the axially moving speed, the axial tension, and the amplitude of external distributed force on the vibration amplitude of axially moving Timoshenko beams. 展开更多

This paper studies several problems , which are potentially relevant for the construction of adaptive numerical schemes. First, biorthogonal spline wavelets on [0,1] are chosen as a starting point for characterizations of functions in Besom spaces B(?)(0,1) with 0<σ<∞ and (1+σ)-1<γ<∞. Such function spaces are known to be related to nonlinear approximation. Then so called restricted nonlinear approximation procedures with respect to Sobolev space norms are considered. Besides characterization results Jackson type estimates for various tree-type and tresholding algorithms are investigated. Finally known approximation results for geometry induced singularity functions of boundary integeral equations are combined with the characterization results for restricted nonlinear approximation to show Besov space regularity results. 展开更多

The rocks surrounding a roadway exhibit some special and complex phenomena with increasing depth of excavation in underground engineering.Quasi-static analysis cannot adequately explain these engineering problems.The computational model of a circular roadway considering the transient effect of excavation unloading is established for these problems.The time factor makes the solution of the problem difficult.Thus,the computational model is divided into a dynamic model and a static model.The Laplace integral transform and inverse transform are performed to solve the dynamic model and elasticity theory is used to analyze the static model.The results from an example show that circumferential stress increases and radial stress decreases with time.The stress difference becomes large gradually in this progress.The displacement increases with unloading time and decreases with the radial depth of surrounding rocks.It can be seen that the development trend of unloading and displacement is similar by comparing their rates.Finally,the results of ANSYS are used to verify the analytical solution.The contrast indicates that the laws of the two methods are basically in agreement.Thus,the analysis can provide a reference for further study. 展开更多

Onto CSD: an ontology-based security model for an integrated solution of cyberspace defense

The construction of an integrated solution for cyberspace defense with dynamic, flexible, and intelligent features is a new idea. To solve the problem whereby traditional static protection methods cannot respond to various network attacks or security demands in an adversarial network environment in time, and to form a complete integrated solution from “threat discovery” to “decision-making generation,” we propose an ontology-based security model, Onto CSD, for an integrated solution of cyberspace defense that uses Web ontology language(OWL) to represent the ontology classes and relationships of threat monitoring, decision-making, response, and defense in cyberspace, and uses semantic Web rule language(SWRL) to design the defensive reasoning rules. Onto CSD can discover potential relationships among network attacks, vulnerabilities, the security state, and defense strategies. Further, an artificial intelligence(AI) expert system based on case-based reasoning(CBR) is used to quickly generate a detailed and comprehensive decision-making scheme. Finally, through Kendall ' s coefficient of concordance(W) and four experimental cases in a typical computer network defense(CND) system, which reasons on represented facts and the ontology, Onto CSD ' s consistency and its feasibility to solve the issues in the field of cyberspace defense are validated. The response statistics of a compliant offshore structure excited by slowly varying wave drift forces is calculated by use of a numerical path integral solution method. The path integral solution is based on the Ganss-Legendre interpolation scheme, and the values of the response probability density are obtained at the Gauss quadrature points in sub-intervals. It is demonstrated that a distinct advantage of the path integral solution is that the joint probability density of the response displacement and velocity is one of the by products of the calculations. This makes it possible to calculate the mean level up-crossing rates, which provides estimates of the exceedance probabilities of specified response levels for given time periods. 展开更多
