Based on Internet technology,modern wireless communication technology and new sensor technology,an intelligent protection and monitoring system of lightning disaster was established to collect lightning current(lightning intensity,frequency and time),induced lightning current and leakage current of surge protector(SPD),earthing resistance,working voltage,temperature and humidity in the lightning environment and other data in real time.Through the online analysis of visual data and automatic alarm beyond the preset value of cloud platform,it can realize the intelligent online monitoring and management of lightning protection devices,providing scientific and reliable lightning protection technical support for lightning protection and disaster reduction,and ensuring the smooth development and efficient management of lightning protection safety work. 展开更多

Conventional firefighting clothing and fire masks can protect firemen’s safety to a certain extent,whereas cannot perceive environmental hazards and monitor their physical status in real time.Herein,we fabricated two kinds of Janus graphene/poly(pphenylene benzobisoxazole)(PBO)fabrics by laser direct writing approach and evaluated their performance as intelligent firefighting clothes and fire masks.The results showed that the Janus graphene/PBO fabrics were virtually non-combustible and achieved the highest thermal protection time of 18.91 s ever reported in flame,which is due to the intrinsic flame-retardant nature of PBO fibers.The graphene/PBO woven fabrics-based sensor showed good repeatability and stability in human motion monitoring and NO_(2)gas detection.Furthermore,the piezoelectric fire mask was assembled with graphene/PBO nonwoven fabric as electrode layer and polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)electrostatic direct writing film as piezoelectric layer.The filtration efficiency of the fire mask reaches 95%for PM_(2.5)and 100%for PM_(3.0),indicating its effective filtration capability for smoke particles in fires.The respiratory resistance of the piezoelectric fire mask(46.8 Pa)was lower than that of commercial masks(49 Pa),showing that it has good wearing comfort.Besides,the piezoelectric fire mask can be sensitive to the speed and intensity of human breathing,which is essential for indirectly reflecting the health of the human body.Consequently,this work provides a facile approach to fabricate next-generation intrinsic flame-retardant smart textiles for smart firefighting. 展开更多

There is a growing need for protective instruments that can be used in extreme environments,including those encountered during exoplanet exploration,anti-terrorism activities,and in chemical plants.These instruments should have the ability to detect external threats visually and monitor internal physiological signals in real time for maximum safety.To address this need,multifunctional semiconducting fibers with visual detection ranging from yellow to red and near-field communication(NFC)capabilities have been developed for use in personal protective clothing.A composite conductive yarn with semiconducting fluorescent probe molecules is embroidered on the clothing,forming an NFC coil that allows for the visual monitoring of atmospheric safety through color changes.The fluorescence detection system was able to selectively detect diethyl chlorophosphate(DCP),a substitute for the toxic gas sarin,with a detection limit of 6.08 ppb,which is lower than the life-threatening concentration of sarin gas.Furthermore,an intelligent protective suit with the abovementioned dual functions was fabricated with good mechanical cycle stability and repeatability.Real-time physiological signals such as the temperature and humidity of the wearer could be read through the NFC conveniently.Such intelligent protective suits can quickly provide an early warning to the identified low-dose DCP and evaluate the health of wearer according to the changes in physiological signals.This study offers a smart,low-cost strategy for designing intelligent protective devices for extreme environments. 展开更多
