Multi-agency and interdisciplinary collaboration working across and within sectors and teams is critical to ensure that children are adequately protected from any risk of abuse. Research indicates that children are most effectively protected when agencies and stakeholders work together. This is because it is almost impossible for a single agency to respond adequately to any allegation and the complex nature of child abuse. Countries in South East Europe are actively engaged in developing and refining their child protection systems over the last 20 years. Considerable efforts are placed on introducing and building the capacity of workers to respond to child abuse from a system and multi-agency perspective. Barriers to effective multi-agency working include: systems which are not designed or are overly complicated for the reality of the context; lack of training and resources; long-standing and entrenched attitudes towards other professionals and co-working; and a lack of accountability and ownership 展开更多

Despite the growing interest in exploring the interdisciplinary collaboration patterns and the factors in relation to team assembly in the first place, the dynamics of interdisciplinary collaboration with time varying is hardly known. Based on the longitudinally co-authorship network perspective, the paper investigates the evolutionary dynamics of interdisciplinary collaboration using separable temporal exponential-family random graph model(STERGM). The results from STERGM show that structural properties, properties of researcher and link properties affect the evolution of interdisciplinary co-authorship network to varying degrees. Network transitivity and preferential attachment play a decisive role in formation of links and hamper dissolution of ties in the network. The number of collaborators of interdisciplinary researchers plays an active role in the formation of partnerships and hamper dissolution of partnerships in the initial stage;specialization of team members inhibits the establishment of collaborative relationship in the initial stage and promotes the dissolution of connections in the later stage of project;the large difference in specialization value between members is not conducive to the formation of relations in the initial stage, but conducive to the maintenance of collaborative relations after links establishment. The same discipline background is conducive to the formation of relations but not conducive to the maintenance of collaborative relationships in interdisciplinary co-author network. 展开更多

The effect was acute in the practice disciplines such as medicine, medical laboratory science, and nursing. The purpose is to describe how an interdisciplinary team, led by nursing faculty, adapted to the changes driven by COVID-19 and the lessons that were learned for nursing and other disciplines in higher education. Method: The interdisciplinary group created a comprehensive list which captured the impact of COVID-19 on their academic disciplines. Similarities and differences between the disciplines regarding faculty experiences, teaching, and responding to student concerns were discovered. Results: Collective review resulted in the identification of four inclusive thematic categories and several sub-categories. These were: academic considerations (didactic, lab, clinical), perceptions (faculty, student), ethical considerations, and social determinants affecting the learning environment. Lessons Learned: This project utilized an innovative interdisciplinary approach to identify common COVID-19 effects on higher education. Conclusions: Nursing and other health-related disciplines should pursue interdisciplinary collaboration to address common academic issues that arise during the COVID. 展开更多
