The new generation of world information technology revolution has promoted the vigorous development and rapid transform of the new economy.The in-depth implementation of a series of Chinese important national strategi...The new generation of world information technology revolution has promoted the vigorous development and rapid transform of the new economy.The in-depth implementation of a series of Chinese important national strategies such as“Made in China 2025”and“Internet+”is urgently needed the support of innovative and outstanding emerging engineering talents with cross-border integration abilities.Therefore,interdisciplinary education plays an important role in the training of the needed emerging engineering talents.Taking cybersecurity as an example,this paper summarizes the professional’s requirements and proposes the educational objectives of Harbin Institute of Technology.Then the objective oriented curriculum system and the teaching model emphasizing project-based learning are introduced.The practice and effect of interdisciplinary education are discussed and analyzed in four aspects including curriculum system,faculty,students and academy education.Finally,suggestions are made on the individualized education and sustainable competitiveness cultivation of the emerging engineering talents.展开更多
This study investigates the impact of an interdisciplinary STEM curriculum on the innovative thinking abilities of elementary school students.Employing a mixed-methods research design,the study compares an experimenta...This study investigates the impact of an interdisciplinary STEM curriculum on the innovative thinking abilities of elementary school students.Employing a mixed-methods research design,the study compares an experimental group engaged in an integrated STEM curriculum with a control group following a traditional curriculum.Quantitative data,collected through pre-and post-implementation assessments,indicate a significant enhancement in innovative thinking abilities among students in the experimental group.Qualitative data,derived from interviews and focus groups,reveal improvements in student engagement,problem-solving skills,and interdisciplinary learning experiences.The study discusses the implications of these findings,highlighting the advantages and challenges of interdisciplinary curriculum design.It concludes with recommendations for educational practice and suggestions for future research.Limitations of the study and the need for longitudinal research are also addressed.展开更多
The high-quality development of a country driven by talent necessitates comprehensive and practical STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics)education.The goal of localizing STEM education is to cultivate c...The high-quality development of a country driven by talent necessitates comprehensive and practical STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics)education.The goal of localizing STEM education is to cultivate comprehensive innovative technology talents that meet the needs of the new era.STEM teachers play a core role in this concept,and the quality of teacher training directly determines the development trend of STEM education and the quality of future talents in the country.Therefore,based on the current situation and existing problems in STEM teacher training,the shared commitment to“high-quality STEM teacher training”is employed as a guiding principle,highlighting the role of various elements in the STEM teacher training process.The practical path for STEM teacher training is proposed from four aspects:top-level design goal orientation,resource integration to solve supply imbalance,curriculum construction to improve the teaching system,and sustainable development to enhance professional ability.This study hopes to provide guidelines for innovative training of localized STEM teachers in China.展开更多
