Evaluating the Role of Internal Factors in the Damage and the Methods of Treatment of the Limestone of Emir Hasan Mosque in Akhmim, Sohag, Egypt

The present paper examines the deterioration of the limestone of Emir Hasan Mosque as a result of internal damage factors. Tests were done and carried to determine the rate of damage to the limestone that was used in the past in Egypt. Chemical analyses were done to identify soluble salts. The study utilized optical microscopy, scanning electron microscope equipped with EDS unit, and X-ray diffraction analysis to identify the main causes of increased limestone damage rates because of being affected by internal destructive factors. The study discussed different ways to conserve separate parts through the use of one consolidated material through the study of changes to limestone during the period of treatment to determine the appropriate treatment methods.

Impact of Internal Factors on Information Technology Adoption: An Empirical Investigation of Chinese Firms

Organizations differ significantly in their inclination to deploy information technology （IT）. The factors that determine the organizational inclination to deploy IT need to be classified to help firms formulate an appropriate e-strategy. This paper discusses a framework that explains the influence of internal factors on IT adoption. The framework is based on quantitative data on IT adoption from 95 firms in China. The results highlight that the internal factors of leadership, organizational learning, and IT resources positively impact IT adoption. The study also shows that these factors are correlated.

Exploring the Internal and External Factors that Influence Chinese EFL Students' Speaking Performance: A Case Study

This case study on one Chinese EFL learner examined both the internal and external factors that affect Chinese EFL learner's speaking performance. Three interviews and three tests have been conducted in the whole process, and the findings revealed:(1) interference from first language is the most influential factor that hinders speaking performance;(2) learner attitude significantly affects speaking performance;(3) learning strategies and practicing help improving performance.

For many years, scholars have been studying the factors that influence foreign language learning. Generally speaking,the factors that influence foreign language learning can be divided into internal and external factors. Whether internal or external factors, they are interconnected in playing their different roles in learners' process of acquiring a foreign language. A Study of Fossilization among Chinese Students in English Writing

This thesis investigates the causes of fossilization in English writing among two groups of English majors as well as the measures to deal with it. The experiment was conducted among 62 English majors from National University of Defense Technology, and both their questionnaires and written texts were collected as the source of data analyzed. With data collected from questionnaires and written texts, the study aimed to explore （a） the causal factors leading to fossilization in writing, （b） the strategies to deal with students＇ fossilization. Relevant information was elicited from the questionnaire, written texts. Quantitative data were treated with SPSS for descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The results indicated that both external and internal factors can lead to fossilization in English writing. The external factors include input, instruction and environment in the learning, and the internal factors incorporate students＇ interest, learning strategy, motivation with their systematic knowledge. Based on the results of the experiment, the author attempts to discuss measures to deal with fossilization.

A Study on the Allocation of New Construction Land Use Indicators in Huai'an City

This paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the characteristics and influencing factors of regional allocation of new construction land use indicators,and determines the primary indicators from social,economic,external and internal factors.Using Delphi method and correlation analysis,this paper selects indicators and establishes evaluation indicator system.Using entropy method and AHP,this paper determines the weight of indicators,rationally allocates new construction land,and uses the actual data in Huai'an City for case studies,so as to provide a reference for land use planning.In addition,this paper makes a comparative analysis on the land use internal factors as important factors,in order to make the weight assigning more in line with the actual situation of construction land in Huai'an.

Diffusion and Reaction Model of Catalyst Pellets for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

The diffusion and reaction phenomenon in a Fe-based catalyst pellet for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis was studied. It was considered that the pores of catalyst pellets were full of liquid wax under Fischer-Tropsch synthesis conditions. The re- actants diffused from the bulk gas phase to the external surface of the pellet, and then the reactants diffused through the wax inside the pellet and reacted on the internal surface formed along the pore passages of the pellet. On the basis of reaction kinetics and double a-ASF product distribution model, a diffusion and reaction model of catalyst pellet was established. The effects of diffusion and reaction interaction in a catalyst pellet, the bulk temperature, the reaction pressure and the pellet size on the reactivity were further investigated. The relationship between the internal diffusion effectiveness factor of spherical catalyst pellet and the Thiele modulus were also discussed. The bulk temperature and pellet size have significant effects on the reactivity, while the pressure shows only a slight influence on the reactivity. The internal diffusion effectiveness factor decreases with an increasing Thiele modulus.

Quantitative Analysis Using Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry and Correlation between Mass Spectrometry Data and Sulfur Content of Crude Oils

Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS) has become a powerful tool for analyzing the detailed composition of petroleum samples. However, the correlation between the numerous peaks obtained by FT-ICR MS and bulk properties of petroleum samples is still a challenge. In this study, the internal standard method was applied for the quantitative analysis of four straight-run vacuum gas oils(VGO) by atmospheric pressure photoionization(APPI) FT-ICR MS. The heteroatom class distribution of these VGO samples turned to be different when the concentration changed. Linear relationship between the normalized abundance and the concentration of VGO samples was identified for the total aromatic compounds, aromatic hydrocarbons, S1 and N1 species. The differences of the response factors were also discussed. The sulfur contents of a series of crude oils were proved to be linear with the FT-ICR MS data calibrated by the response factor of S1 species. This study demonstrated the feasibility of the internal standard method in quantitative analysis with APPI FT-ICR MS, and the bulk properties of petroleum samples could be correlated directly with the FT-ICR MS data.

Internal structural changes in China-Arab League relations:characteristics,motivations and influences

It is a common phenomenon in international relations that the interaction between international actors leads to structural changes,which are often manifested as a positive friendly relationship or an escalation of contradictions or even conflicts among actors.Taking the relations between China and the Arab League as an example,this paper investigates the characteristics and influences of building friendly relations between the two sides.China-Arab relations are undergoing structural changes in the new era,generally reflected as follows:China and Arab countries enhance each other’s position in their overall diplomacy;there is a strategic docking between‘Looking East’of the Arab League and China’s‘Belt and Road Initiative’;China has become the second largest trading partner of the Arab League;ChinaArab cooperation has expanded in new frontiers such as high technology;the multilateral cooperation mechanism between China and Arab countries has been increasingly improved,and the strategic positioning of both sides has been constantly promoted.There are both internal and external driving forces to promote the structural upgrading of China-Arab relations.The former includes the economic interdependence between China and the Arab League,the changes in the policy orientation and priorities of the two sides,and the domestic political changes of Arab League countries,while the latter involves the changes in the surrounding situation of both sides,the changes in the international situation and the strategic contraction of the United States from the Middle East.The structural upgrading of China-Arab relations is conducive to the multi-polar development of the Middle East.Nevertheless,the two sides need to take precautions to cope with the changes in power,interests and identity brought about by this structural upgrading.

Study on the Transmission-Mechanism of International Factors Influencing Chinese Price Level

After the reform and opening, the economic relationship between China and the world is strengthened heavily. Theoretically, international factors have impact on the domestic general price level through a set of channels. This paper employed a sample including monthly data of five representative indicators, to explore the influence of international factors on Chinese price level. The empirical results showed that there is an obvious lag for Chinese CPI reacting to international shocks, while the PPI reacts immediately. The impact of international factors on Chinese CPI and PPI usually lasts 12 months at least and they always exhibit a different transmission mechanism for international shocks.Besides, a further study revealed that some structure-breakpoints in the influence mechanism of international factors exist, and great changes of the impact direction and significance for different factors have taken place in the subsample periods.
