The rapid development of Internet literature not only made itself the source of information about animation and the gaming industry, but also boosted the creation of super writers who are now establishing themselves as IP(intellectual property)producers and providers.Rather than creating literary classics, these writers prefer producing commercial novels targeted at a certain group of readers.Meanwhile, the structure of their works tends to cater to the preferences of online games and animation, with the narrative and characters in the novel adjusting accordingly. These changes have enhanced the influence of Internet literature. But an excessive emphasis on IP gradually converts the novels into scripts for games with highly stereotyped content and structure.Fastpaced writing also renders their works with a lack of polish, including such serious problems as mismatched plots and repetitive narratives. Therefore,Internet literature is in urgent need of positive guidance,as its development will be stalled due to the excessive emphasis on IP. 展开更多

According to the information of 231 cultural and creative industry parks on the Internet literature, this research classified and studied the park elements from the text using the method of semantic Ontotogy analysis. The paper analyzes the cultural and creative industry park in the performance of type, constitution elements of geosraphical attributes, character- istics, etc. Through analysis, we found that "location", "form" and "rhetoric" are frequently mentioned in the park names. As the parks prefer to combine cultural relics with their own characters for hishlighting influence and specialties, the park locations also have certain restrictions (e.g., "historic sites", "ancient cities"). Furthermore, cultural and creative industry parks cover a wide range of contents (e.g., "digital industry", "ecological landscape"). The boundaries of the park type and content are not very clear in present China. And, the parks lack of overall planning and often have an imperfect industrial chain and other issues. Therefore, on developing cultural and creative industry parks, the overall planning and perfect industrial chain need to be focused on. 展开更多

The time-travel genre of Chinese Internet literature combines old mythological motifs with contemporary science fiction approaches to create a narrative line in which the protagonist travels through time, undergoes a series of trials, discovers new worlds, and realizes an idealized life. Borrowing Foucault's theory of utopian bodies and heterotopias and taking Tianxia Guiyuan's female-oriented Intemet novel Empress Fuyao as its exemplary case, this study analyzes how time-travel fiction uses time travel in order to image a "utopia" and what kind of "new world" is projected by this utopia, In the process, this paper will simultaneously examine the relationship between utopia and twenty-first century China's new media literature. 展开更多

The dawn of the new millennium witnessed the rise of Internet literature in China. Time-travel historical romances (chuanyue lishi xiaoshuo) became one of the most prominent genres produced and circulated online. At the heart of each story lies a fictitious hero who goes back in time to witness, facilitate, delay or alter a particular historical incident or series of historical events. Focusing on temporal poetics, politics and ethics in Tong Hua's Startling by Each Step (Bubu ]ingxin) and its TV and film adaptations, whilst also drawing upon a number of other well-acclaimed time-travel historical romances, this paper builds a threefold argument. Firstly, I argue that the aesthetic fascination of this genre mainly consists in its dramatization of the temporal clash between imperial and modern zeitgeists, interweaving the traditional device of dreams to deal with the Lacanian Real; secondly, although the immense popularity of the time-travel motif evinces a fascination with the fast pace of the digital age, Startling by Each Step tempers that trend by slowing things down and suggesting a yearning for the individual's temporal sovereignty; finally, the causal loop innate in this genre necessitates a transgression of historical linearity which often leads to unintended catastrophes and results in a prevailing sense of historical determinism. However, in Startling by Each Step a Heidegger-like resolute struggle for finite freedom within time delivers from the recognition of one's fateful destiny. 展开更多
