BACKGROUND There are very few cases of cardiac occluder detachment, and it is rare to completely remove the occluder using interventional methods without undergoing thoracotomy surgery after detachment. This case innovatively used ultrasound guidance combined with digital subtraction angiography(DSA)to completely remove the occluder, accumulating some experience.CASE SUMMARY The patient underwent left atrial appendage occlusion surgery in our hospital due to atrial fibrillation. After the surgery, the occluder fell off and became free in the left ventricle, which is very dangerous. We innovatively used ultrasound guidance, combined with DSA,and interventional surgery to successfully capture the free occluder using a catcher, completely remove it,and then re implant a new left atrial appendage occluder. After the surgery, the patient recovered very well.CONCLUSION The size selection of the occluder is slightly conservative, and the shape of the left atrial appendage opening is irregular. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Patients’lack of correct understanding of cardiovascular disease and interventional therapy is often accompanied by varying degrees of fear, depression and anxiety.Negative emotion will affect the hemodynamic fluctuation of patients undergoing interventional surgery, which is not conducive to the smooth and safe operation of interventional surgery. Therefore,it is very important to implement effective nursing intervention in the operating room.AIM To explore the intervention effect of motivational psychological nursing combined with programmed nursing on compliance and bad mood of patients in interventional operating room.METHODS A total of 98 patients in the interventional operating room of our hospital from October 2019 to March 2021 were randomly divided into study group(n=49)and control group(n=49).The control group took routine nursing. However, the study group took motivational psychological nursing combined with procedural nursing on the basis of the control group.Statistics were made on rehabilitation compliance,Positive and Negative Affect Schedule of bad mood,Simplified Coping Styles Questionnaire score of coping style and satisfaction of intervention between the two groups before and after intervention.RESULTS The rehabilitation compliance of the study group(95.92%)was higher than that of the control group(81.63%)(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of upset, fear, irritability, tension and fear in the study group were respectively, which were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the score of positive coping in the study group was higher than that in the control group. However, the score of negative coping in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The intervention satisfaction of the study group(93.88%)was higher than that of the control group(79.59%)(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The intervention of motivational psychological nursing combined with procedural nursing can improve the rehabilitation compliance, and alleviate the bad mood.In addition,it can change their coping style to the disease, and the patients are more satisfied with the nursing work. 展开更多

Objective:To explore and analyze the role of nursing in the operating room in the prevention of incision infection in aseptic orthopedic surgery.Methods:68 patients that underwent aseptic orthopedic surgery in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.They were divided into a research group(n=34)and a control group(n=34)by the random number table method. The patients in the control group received conventional nursing intervention in the operating room, and the patients in the study group received the optimized and modified nursing intervention in the operating room;then, the related indicators of nursing intervention of the two groups were compared. Results:The incidence of incision infection in the study group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);the average duration of surgery and length of stay the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the stress response indexes of patients in the study group were lower than those in the control group 24 hours after operation(P<0.05);the degree of satisfaction of the patients in the study group to the services provided by the nursing staff was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:High-quality nursing intervention in the operating room for aseptic orthopedic surgery patients can significantly reduce the incidence of incision infection, reduce the stress response caused by surgery, shorten the duration of surgery and length of stay, and improve nursing satisfaction, which makes it worthy of popularization. 展开更多

Catheter fracture is a rare but serious complication of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC). An adolescent patient was sent to Tianjin Medical University General Hospital (Tianjin, China) because the PICC was fractured when removed by a nurse. Chest X-ray showed that the PICC fragment slid into the right pulmonary artery. Through emergency surgery, the remainder of the PICC was successfully retrieved by an interventional operation percutaneously via the right femoral vein. PICC fracture is less common and always without significant discomfort if not found timely, and it may lead to serious complications, such as pulmonary embolism, and even death. Thus, nurses, patients and their family members should pay enough attention to the daily maintenance of PICC and have a deep understanding of the reasons associated with PICC fracture as well as how to prevent it. Interventional operation is minimally invasive, which is a good choice for the removal of intravascular foreign bodies, leading to fewer complications and a good prognosis. 展开更多

Objective: To analyze the effect of nursing intervention in operating room for gastric cancer patients in anesthesia recovery period. Methods: From June 2021 to December 2021, 78 patients who underwent gastric cancer surgery in our hospital were selected for research. Combined with the random number table method, they were divided into the control group (providing routine nursing care in operating room) and the observation group (providing nursing intervention in operating room) with 39 patients in each group respectively. The body temperature of the two groups during operation, during abdominal closure and after operation, the time of leaving anesthesia room, extubation, postoperative wakefulness and hospitalization, degree of satisfaction with nursing work was compared. Results: Compared with the control group, the body temperature in the observation group tended to be more normal during operation, during abdominal closure and after operation (P 0.05). The time of leaving anesthesia room, extubation, postoperative wakefulness and hospitalization in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P 0.05). The satisfaction degree of the observation group with nursing work was higher than that of the control group (P 0.05). Conclusion: Nursing intervention in operating room is effective for gastric cancer patients in anesthesia recovery period, which can maintain their perioperative temperature stability, promote their postoperative recovery and enhance their satisfaction with nursing work. It is worth adopting. 展开更多
