At present time, there has been a demand for management systems that can survey and monitor a PC (personal computer) practice room, movement of people in an office, situation of utilization of facilities and so on in real time without causing psychological stress. For example, PC administrators in Japanese national educational institutions must report operation status of PC practice rooms once a year. But, there is currently no system for automatically recording PC operating situations. Therefore, the burden on the PC administrators is big. In this study, we aimed at systems for accurately managing the sitting and work time without psychologically stressing PC users. This time, we propose uniform management systems of sitting and work time using smart tap node and mat sensor node by IoT (Internet of Things) technology. The smart tap was connected to PCs to acquire the operating status of the PCs. In parallel with this smart tap, the mat sensor was used to acquire human presence state. By calculating binary data representing the PC operating status and human presence state from the two sensing data (smart tap and mat sensor) by the proposed technique, we can exactly calculate wasteful power consumption etc. The use of IoT technology makes it unnecessary to use large installation services when introducing our system. Therefore, this our proposal system can be easily installed even by unskilled workers. 展开更多

With in-depth development of the Internet of Things(IoT)in various industries, the informatization process of various industries has also entered the fast lane. This article aims to solve the supply chain process problem in e-commerce,focusing on the specific application of Internet of Things technology in e-commerce.Warehousing logistics is an important link in today’s e-commerce transactions. This article proposes a distributed analysis method for RFID-based e-commerce warehousing process optimization and an e-commerce supply chain management process based on Internet of Things technology. This article first introduces the advantages and disadvantages of shared IoT identification technology and the IoT resource sharing platform based on the three-layer abstract data model and representational state transfer(REST)style.Combining actual IoT applications and the characteristics of an existing platform,a REST-based IoT resource sharing platform is proposed.Combined with actual projects,a REST-based IoT resource sharing platform was built, and key technology experiments were conducted for verification. Finally, optimizing the e-commerce supply chain management process under Internet of Things technology and explaining the advantages of optimized e-commerce supply chain management are discussed.Research on this subject provides a theoretical basis for the application of the Internet of Things in e-commerce and has practical significance and practical value for managing service capabilities and service levels in e-commerce. 展开更多

Occupant-centric control(OCC)is intelligent control of building systems based on the real comfort needs of occupants. This paper provides a comprehensive review of how real-world data on energy-related occupant behavior(OB)can be integrated and applied in OCC systems. The aim is to accurately portray the real occupant needs and improve energy efficiency without sacrificing occupant comfort. This paper first introduces two types of OB:detailed occupancy states and energy-interaction behaviors, including methods to monitor, establish, and predict these OB.Then,OCC is divided into real-time control and model-based predictive control, and each of these four scenarios is discussed. It extensively reviews OCC methods for different equipment in four cases, covering control strategies, control scales, comfort enhancement scenarios, and energy-saving potential for each category. It is summarized that despite extensive research on OB,there are still significant challenges in integrating this research into OCC.A major issue is the lack of a bridge connecting monitoring acquired information and controls. In addition, the article reviews the current state of OCC platform development. The future direction should be combined with advanced Internet of Things(IoT)technologies,WiFi,and other communication technologies to obtain information about people’s behavior and real needs in order to create truly energy efficient and comfortable smart environments. The article also discusses how enhancing the real-time feedback capability of the OCC system can help improve the overall control system capability and the importance of testing through experimentation. 展开更多
