Seismic exploration in the mountainous areas of western Chinese is extremely difficult because of the complexity of the surface and subsurface, which results in shooting difficulties, seismic data with low signal-to-noise ratio, and strong interference. The complexity of the subsurface structure leads to strong scattering of the refl ection points; thus, the curved-line acquisition method has been used. However, the actual subsurface structural characteristics have been rarely considered. We propose a design method for irregular acquisition based on common refl ection points(CRP) to avoid difficult-to-shoot areas, while considering the structural characteristics and CRP positions and optimizing the surfacereceiving line position. We arrange the positions of the receiving points to ensure as little dispersion of subsurface CRP as possible to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the seismic data. We verify the applicability of the method using actual data from a site in Sichuan Basin. The proposed method apparently solves the problem of seismic data acquisition and facilitates seismic exploration in structurally complex areas. 展开更多

The different confinement shapes can induce the formation of various interesting and novel morphologies, which might inspire potential applications of materials. In this paper, we study the directed self-assembly of diblock copolymer confined in irregular geometries with a soft surface by using self-consistent field theory. Two types of confinement geometries are considered, namely, one is the concave pore with one groove and the other is the concave pore with two grooves. We obtain more novel and different structures which could not be produced in other two-dimensional(2D) confinements. Comparing these new structures with those obtained in regular square confinement, we find that the range of ordered lamellae is enlarged and the range of disordered structure is narrowed down under the concave pore confinement. We also compare the different structures obtained under the two types of confinement geometries, the results show that the effect of confinement would increase, which might induce the diblock copolymer to form novel structures. We construct the phase diagram as a function of the fraction of B block and the ratio of h/L of the groove. The simulation reveals that the wetting effect of brushes and the shape of confinement geometries play important roles in determining the morphologies of the system. Our results improve the applications in the directed self-assembly of diblock copolymer for fabricating the irregular structures. 展开更多

Computational simulations of multiphase flow are challenging because many practical applications require adequate resolution of not only interfacial physics associated with moving boundaries with possible topological changes, but also around three-dimensional,irregular solid geometries. In this paper,we highlight recent efforts made in simulating multiphase fluid dynamics around complex geometries, based on an Eulerian-Lagrangian framework. The approach uses two independent but related grid layouts to track the interfacial and solid boundary conditions, and is capable of capturing interfacial as well as multiphase dynamics. In particular, the stationary Cartesian grid with time dependent, local adaptive refinement is utilized to handle the computation of the transport equations, while the interface shape and movement are treated by marker-based triangulated surface meshes which freely move and interact with the Cartesian grid. The markers are also used to identify the location of solid boundaries and enforce the no-slip condition there.Issues related to the contact line treatment, topological changes of multiphase fronts during merger or breakup of objects, and necessary data structures and solution techniques are also highlighted.Selected test cases including spacecraft fuel tank flow management and liquid plug flow dynamics are presented. 展开更多
