Genetic mapping and QTL analysis for body weight in Jian carp (Cyprinus carpio var.Jian) compared with mirror carp (Cyprinus carpio L.)

We report the genetic linkage map of Jian carp(C yprinus carpio var. Jian). An F1 population comprising 94 Jian carp individuals was mapped using 254 microsatellite markers. The genetic map spanned 1 381.592 c M and comprised 44 linkage groups,with an average marker distance of 6.58 c M. We identified eight quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for body weight(BW) in seven linkage groups,explaining 12.6% to 17.3% of the phenotypic variance. Comparative mapping was performed between Jian carp and mirror carp( Cyprinus carpio L.),which both have 50 chromosomes. One hundred and ninety-eight Jian carp marker loci were found in common with the mirror carp map,with 186(93.94%) showing synteny. All 44 Jian carp linkage groups could be one-to-one aligned to the 44 mirror carp linkage groups,mostly sharing two or more common loci. Three QTLs for BW in Jian carp were conserved in mirror carp. QTL comparison suggested that the QTL confidence interval in mirror carp was more precise than the homologous interval in Jian carp,which was contained within the QTL interval in Jian carp. The syntenic relationship and consensus QTLs between the two varieties provide a foundation for genomic research and genetic breeding in common carp.

Efficacy of Jian’ganle(健肝乐) versus Hugan Pian(护肝片),Glucuronolactone and Reduced Glutathione in Prevention of Antituberculosis Drug-induced Liver Injury

Summary： Evidence-based medicine is advocated by WHO and adopted by developed countries for many years. In China, however, the selection of essential medicine and various medical insurance reimbursement schemes medicine is usually based on experts＇ experience of prescription practice which is under heavy critics resulting from the lack of related comparative efficacy and evidence-based research. The efficacy of Jian＇ganle in prevention of drug-induced liver injury （DILI） caused by antituberculotics was evaluated in this study by comparison with Hugan Pian, glucuronolactone and reduced glutathione. Evidence was provided for relevant sectors such as Ministry for Human Resources and Social Security of the People＇s Republic of China and National Health and Family Planning Commission of the Peo- ple＇s Republic of China to select and renew the Essential Medicine List （EML）, the new rural cooperative medical scheme in China （NRCMS） list or the reimbursement list of industrial injury insurance. A total of 189 patients with initial pulmonary tuberculosis were divided into four groups who took antituberculotics combined with Jian＇ganle, Hugan Pian, glucuronolactone and reduced glutathione respectively. Their liver function profile including alanine aminotransferase （ALT）, aspartate aminotransferase （AST）, total bilirubin （TBIL）, direct bilirubin （DBIL）, total protein （TP）, albumin （A） and globulin （G） were detected at admission as baseline and after treatment. The Jian＇ganle group was compared with the three others by chi-square tests. In an aspect of maintaining bilirubin indexes normal, Jian＇ganle was more efficacious than glucuronolactone. And Jian＇ganle had a little more efficacy than reduced glutathione to maintain protein indexes normal as well. And the therapeutic regimen of antituberculotics combined with Jian＇ganle was the best in treating tuberculosis and preventing DILI at the same time. The study showed that among the four hepatinicas which demonstrated similar prevention of DILI caused by antituberculotics, Jian＇ganle has more advantages over the three others to some extent, which provides a reliable basis for health sectors to select and renew the EML, NRCMS List or the reimbursement list of industrial injury insurance.

Crises of Socialism in China and Chinese Rock in 1980s： The Case of CUI Jian

This paper focuses on CUI Jian and his rock music to examine the social complexity of the 1980s in China, which is much about the destructions brought by the Cultural Revolution and the economic reformation since 1978, as well as to investigate an alternative discourse that is different from mainstream in understanding the Chinese rock. Also, the paper through CUI＇s works tries to inquire the questions of how the ideal of socialism transforms after the fail of the revolution and how the disillusion connects the country＇s pursuit of the western modernization in music. Moreover, the paper asks how and by which CUI＇s songs associate themselves to the social transformation and in what way they root in the ＂socialistic personality＂ shaped by the socialist revolution since 1950s.

Effect of Bijia Jian Pill on inflammatory factors and liver fibrosis indexes in patients with chronic hepatitis B complicated with cirrhosis

Objective: To detect the effect of BiJia Jian Pill on inflammatory factors and liver fibrosis indexes in patients with chronic hepatitis B complicated with cirrhosis. Methods: A total of 94 patients with chronic hepatitis B combined with cirrhosis admitted in the hospital from January 2017 to December 2017 were selected as the subjects, and they were randomly divided into 47 cases in the observation group and 47 cases in the control group. The control group was given Adefovir Dipivoxil Tablets, and the observation group was treated with Bijia Jian pills on the basis of control group. The changes of liver function, inflammatory factors and liver fibrosis indexes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in AST, ALT, TBIL and ALB between the two groups. After treatment, the AST, ALT and TBIL of the two groups were all decreased, and the AST, ALT and TBIL in the observation group were lower than those of the control group;the ALB of the two groups increased, and the ALB of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. Before treatment, there was no significant difference in TNF-α, IL-1 βand IL-10 between the two groups. After treatment, the TNF-α and IL-1β of the two groups were decreased, and the TNF-α and IL-1β in the observation group were lower than those of the control group;the IL-10 of the two groups increased, and the IL-10 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. Before treatment, there was no significant difference in HA, LN, IV-C and PCIII between the two groups. After treatment, the HA, LN, IV-C and PCIII of the two groups were all decreased, and the HA, LN, IV-C and PCIII of the observation group were lower than those of the control group. Conclusion Bijia Jian pills can effectively improve the inflammatory factors and liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B complicated with cirrhosis.

Jian Nao Ning for Treatment of Memory Impairment in Patients with Mild or Moderate Multi-infarct Dementia

Forty patients with multi-infarct dementia (MID) were randomly assigned to the treatment group (25 cases) treated with Jian Nao Ning (健脑宁JNN) and the duxil control group (15 cases). Memory function were assessed at baseline and endpoint using memory subscales of a battery of New Psychometric Tests (Chinese version) including mini-mental state examination (MMSE), verbal memory, and non-verbal memory, etc. After treatment, the mean scores of verbal memory in the Hopkins Verbal Learning Test (P<0.05) and total memory scores of memory items (P<0.001) in JNN group increased significantly; and improvement in episodic memory function including story recall (immediate and delayed), delayed word recall, verbal learning and verbal recognition and visual recognition in the JNN group was better than that in the duxil control group, suggesting that JNN can obviously improve memory function for the patients with mild or moderate multi-infarct dementia.
