Intrusive rocks were formed in the Neoproterozoic, whose Pb Pb ages range from (913±4) Ma to (1 011±4) Ma and U Pb concordia age is (703±15) Ma. The tectonic settings of the rocks are volcanic arc or syn collision. After the formation of the intrusive rocks, these rocks also experienced reconstruction of Caledonian metamorphism. Based on the Ar Ar dating of metamorphic mineral of muscovite, the metamorphic time is determined to range from (386.8±0.8) Ma to (389.44±3.70) Ma.展开更多

More attention was paid to the studyof the microtexture of Lapworthella and some new materials of trace fossils. Phycodes pendum Seilacher, animportant index for correlation, was also discovered in the Zhongyicun Member. In the Yu' anshan Membermany worms, medusas and arthropods of the Chengjiang fauna have been found by other workers. Asupplemental study was made on the fossil zones of the Meishucunian stage. Based on new isotopic data, theage of the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary should now be 597 Ma. It is further suggested that point 'B' re-mains as an optimum selection for defining the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary.展开更多

Purplish gray medium-grained granodiorite containing dark gray fine-grained diorite xenolith is revealed at the base of the well (7169―7200 m), and they are results of the Jinning magmatic activities. Trace-element geochemistry and REE profiles of both rock types are similar, indicating that they are calc-alkaline series I-type granitoid. Proxies of diorite signify the development of a magmatic arc due to subduction at ca. 1200 Ma. The granodiorite was formed before 890―932 Ma. However, more study is needed to clarify if the arc diorite represents a ca. 300 Ma extension of the subduction or a reactivation during the orogenic collision event at ca. 900 Ma.展开更多

The research is focused on Gezong and Donggu granites in the Danba area. From the viewpoint of isotopic chronology, geochemistry and tectonic geology, their formation ages, origins and geneses of source materials, and the influences of Himalayan tectonic thermal events are discussed- It is suggested that they were the products of Jinning tectono-magmatism. The source materials were the poorly matured volcano-sedimentary rocks formed in the middle-late period of the middld-Proterozoic. They represent in fact the basement of the old Yangtze Block. The late Proterozoic erogenic belt of the entire western margin of the Yangtze Block, including the Danba area, should be the key part of the old Yangtze Block.展开更多

The Chinese classical novel Jin Ping Mei abounds with a large number of slangs,which correspondingly leads to the difficulty of the novel’s English translation and also gives rise to the emergence of diversified Engl...The Chinese classical novel Jin Ping Mei abounds with a large number of slangs,which correspondingly leads to the difficulty of the novel’s English translation and also gives rise to the emergence of diversified English versions.The two English translators,Clement Egerton and David Roy,adopted completely different translation strategies when dealing with Chinese slangs in the novel.Their different translation purposes account for the significant disparity concerning the slang translation.Clement Egerton pays more attention to the novel’s plot in his English version The Golden Lotus,rather than the unique expressions of the original language,so that in the concrete translation process,a domestication strategy is adopted for the sake of the target language readers’understanding,resulting in distortion and omission of the slang expressions in the translated text.By contrast,the translation purpose which guides David Roy’translation The Plum in the Golden Vase is to convey the complexity and literariness of the original Chinese text,and hence the foreignization strategy is employed concerning slang translation,which aims to accurately reproduce the unique expressions of slangs in the original text.Comparatively speaking,David Roy’s translation succeeds in preserving the Chinese slangs to the greatest extent both in form and meaning,and can shed light for the slang translation in other Chinese literary works.展开更多

This paper uses the Xu family genealogy, literature catalog, historical recor...Xu Chunfu was a famous medical expert in the Ming Dynasty, who authored the Gu Jin Yi Tong Da Quan and the Yi Xue Zhi Nan Jie Jing Liu Shu. This paper uses the Xu family genealogy, literature catalog, historical records to study the Xu family’s life and deeds. Xu Chunfu was born in the second year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1523) and passed away in the 24th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1596). He served as an official in the Tai Hospital for about 20 years. His work Gu Jin Yi Tong Da Quan was written around the 43rd year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1556), with a lower limit of the fifth year of the Longqing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1571), and the initial engraving time was not earlier than the eighth year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1580). This paper corrects the shortcomings and errors in previous research, and provides a comprehensive and systematic examination of Xu Chunfu’s life and works.展开更多
