The Rb\|Sr isochron age of fluid inclusions in quartz from quartz veins is the same as that of the gold\|bearing ultramylonite, suggesting that both the types of orebodies were formed simultaneously in the Caledonian period, in the range 406-409 Ma. The geological feature of the pluton is consistent with the isotopic age, which shows that it is a product of Caledonian orogenesis. The Shangyou granites are regarded as peraluminous crust-derived granites to possess the typical geochemical characteristics of calc-alkaline rocks on the active continental margin with enriched Si, K, Al (A/CNK -- 1.11 on average), HREE, Rb, U, Th and heavily depleted V, Cr, Co, Ni, as well as Ti-Y, Nb-Ta, Zr, Sr, P and Ba, to be commonly corundum normative (av C -- 1.44). The Shangyou granites with higher 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.707126-0.712186), ENd(t) values (-7.29 to -10.22) and (tDM) values (1.52-1.63 Ga), which are considered to result from partial melting of continental crust metamorphic sedimentary rocks with relatively low of crust maturation degree corresponding to the Middle Proterozoic, to have some possible contributions of mantle-derived components. The Shangyou granites are regarded as post-collision granites, which were formed in a transitional tectonic setting from compression to extension in the Middle Ordovician period after the Yangtze plate was subducted beneath the Cathaysian plate. The Ar-Ar total ages of K-feldspar and biotite are 292.1 Ma and 295.5 Ma respectively, which have recorded information of a late-stage thermal alteration event.展开更多

Based on these, the purpose of this paper is to study the petrogenetic and metallogenic ages and their time gap for different genetic types of W-Sn deposits, and thus to research their numerous episodes, zonal arrangement and their geodynamic background. The result shows that the large-scale W-Sn mineralization in southern Jiangxi Province occurred in the middle to late Jurassic (170-150 Ma), the skarn W-Sn-polymetallic deposits formed much earlier (170-161 Ma), and all of the wolframite-quartz vein type, greisen type, altered granite type and fractured zone type tungsten deposits formed in the late Jurassic (160-150 Ma). In one ore field or ore district, greisen type tungsten deposits formed earlier than quartz vein type ones hosted in the endoor exo-contact zone; and quartz vein type hosted in the endocontact zone formed earlier than that of exocontact zone. There is no significant time difference between tungstentin mineralization and its intimately associated parent granite emplacement (1-6 Ma). They all formed in the same rock-forming and ore-forming system and under the same geodynamic setting. Regionally, rock-forming and ore-forming processes of the W-Sn deposits in the Nanling region (include southern Jiangxi Province, southern Hunan Province, northern Guangdong Province and eastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) exhibit numerous episodes. The mineralization in the Nanling region mainly occurred at (240-210) Ma, (170-150) Ma and (130-90) Ma. The tungsten-tin deposits in this region are centered by the largest scale in southern Jiangxi Province and southern Hunan Province, and become small in the east, west, south and north directions. This displays a zonal arrangement and temporal and spatial distribution regularity. Integrated with the latest research results, it is concluded that the W-Sn mineralization in southern Jiangxi Province and its adjacent areas corresponds to the second large-scale mineralization in South China. The Indosinian W-Sn mineralization formed under the extensional tectonic regime between collisional compressional stages, while the Yanshanian large-scale petrogenetic and metallogenic processes occurred in the Jurassic intraplate extensional geodynamic setting of lithosphere extension.展开更多

The regional metallogeny is discussed, and the ore-forming fluid systems are classified in this article. It is proposed that the fluid ore-forming activities in the Jiangnan Uplift both in northern Jiangxi and southern Anhui have close relationships with the crust-mantle interaction and magmatic-tectonic activities. The types and scales of the mineralization on the both sides of the eastern Jiangnan Uplift were determined by fluid ore-forming systems and geological backgrounds.展开更多

However, proper tectonic driver remains elusive to reconcile the broad intracontinental magmatic province. This study presents integrated zircon U-Pb dating, Hf isotopes and whole-rock geochemistry of the Xiwan dioritic porphyry in the NE Jiangxi ophiolitic mélange. Zircon U-Pb dating by SIMS and LA-ICP-MS methods yielded an emplacement age of ~160 Ma for the Xiwan diorite, confirming its inclusion into the Mesozoic magmatic province in SE China, instead of a component of the Neoproterozoic ophiolitic mélange genetically. The dioritic rocks have low Si02(58.08 wt%-59.15 wt%), and high NaO(5.00 wt%-5.21 wt%) and MgO(4.60 wt%-5.24 wt%) contents with low TFeO/MgO ratios(1.02-1.09). They show an adakitic geochemical affinity but exhibit relatively low Sr/Y ratios(24.8-31.1) and high Y contents(14.6-18.3 ppm) compared to the Dexing adakitic porphyries. In addition, the Xiwan diorites have moderately evolved zircon Hf isotopic compositions(ε(t)=-6.1--0.1; T=1597-1219 Ma). These elemental and isotopic signatures suggest that the Xiwan diorite formed through partial melting of a remnant arc lower crust(i.e., early Neoproterozoic mafic arc-related rocks) in response to the underplating of coeval mafic magmas. In conjunction with the temporal-spatial distribution and complex geochemical characteristics of the Mesozoic magmatism, our case study attests to the feasibility of a flat-slab subduction model in developing the broad intracontinental magmatic province in SE China. The flat-slab delamination tends to trigger an asthenospheric upwelling and thus results in extensive partial melting of the overlying lithospheric mantle and lower crustal materials in an extensional setting during the Mesozoic.展开更多

The ophiolitic and metamorphic ...The age assignment of cherts from ophiolitic/metamorphic complexes in northeastern Jiangxi is widely regarded as one of the crucial issues in the tectonic interpretation of South China. The ophiolitic and metamorphic complexes in northeastern Jiangxi have been traditionally regarded as part of the Proterozoic “Banxi (=Penhsi) Group” of the Jiangnan Uplift. However, recent reports of Late Paleozoic radiolarians from the rock complexes have caused some researchers to question the traditional interpretation of the tectonic and paleogeographic framework in the region; but other workers are suspicious about these findings. In order to test the validity of the putative radiolarians, we, an interdisciplinary study group including micropaleontologists, tectonic specialists and regional geologists, conducted field investigations and multiple re-samplings of the localities where the reported fossils were collected. Our comprehensive study shows that the chert of the ophiolitic complex and the associated low-grade metamorphic slate yield Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic acritarchs, confirming the traditional view of their age assignment (Proterozoic); on the other hand, no recognizable radiolarian fossils have been discovered therein, thus raising questions about the recently published result of Paleozoic radiolarian findings. Probable causes for the putative radiolarian findings are thus discussed herein. Geochemical characteristics indicate that the chert sedimentation most probably occurred under a continental margin setting.展开更多

From the surface down to 1200 m below the δ18O values of altered rocks gradually decrease from 15‰± to 11‰± . Various water-rock inversion calculations indicate that the ore fluids were formed by the interaction between meteoric water and phyllite at 350℃ and the effective W/ R value of around 0.1. When the water-rock exchange in the upper mineralization system took place, the effective W / R value increased to 5.0 or more. As a result, an evolution and mineralization model of a buffered open system with two-stage water-rock interactions is proposed in this study.展开更多

文摘Previous studies have obtained some petrogenetic and metallogenic chronological data with SHRIMP (sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe) zircon U-Pb, zircon LA-ICPMS (laser-ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy) U-Pb, molybdenite Re-Os isochron and muscovite Ar-Ar methods in southern Jiangxi Province and its adjacent areas. The Indosinian W-Sn mineralization formed under the extensional tectonic regime between collisional compressional stages, while the Yanshanian large-scale petrogenetic and metallogenic processes occurred in the Jurassic intraplate extensional geodynamic setting of lithosphere extension.

文摘Obvious differences in mineralization characteristics exist between the southern and northern parts of the eastern part of the Jiangnan Uplift in northern Jiangxi Province and southern Anhui Province. The types and scales of the mineralization on the both sides of the eastern Jiangnan Uplift were determined by fluid ore-forming systems and geological backgrounds.

文摘Mesozoic magmatism is widespread in the eastern South China Block and has a close genetic relationship with intensive polymetallic mineralization. The flat-slab delamination tends to trigger an asthenospheric upwelling and thus results in extensive partial melting of the overlying lithospheric mantle and lower crustal materials in an extensional setting during the Mesozoic.

文摘The age assignment of cherts from ophiolitic/metamorphic complexes in northeastern Jiangxi is widely regarded as one of the crucial issues in the tectonic interpretation of South China. Geochemical characteristics indicate that the chert sedimentation most probably occurred under a continental margin setting.

文摘The δ18O values of vein quartz of different stages from the Yinshan ore deposit are constant around 16‰ and the calculated δ18OH2O values attain 8‰± ; the δDH2O values of fluid inclu-sions in vein quartz are constant at about-60‰. As a result, an evolution and mineralization model of a buffered open system with two-stage water-rock interactions is proposed in this study.

文摘The Zhuxi W(Cu)skarn deposit, the world’s largest tungsten deposit is newly discovered in Jingdezhen city, northeastern Jiangxi province,China. It mainly occurs near the contact zone between the Yanshanian granites and the Late Paleozoic carbonate rocks.Three types of mineralization including skarn type, altered granite type and quartz vein veinlet type orebodies have been observed. In this study, the 40Ar 39Ar age of hydrothermal muscovite coexisting with copper mineralization in the altered granite type orebody formed near the unconformity interface is determined by step-heating technology using CO2 laser. The plateau age, isochron age,and inverse isochron age of muscovite are(147.39±0.94)Ma,(147.2±1.5)Ma,and(147.1±1.5)Ma,respectively.These ages are almost identical to the ages of ore-related granite and other mineralization types in the Zhuxi W(Cu)deposit, indicating that the Cu mineralizations occurred at the shallow depth and near the unconformity interface are contemporaneous during the Late Jurassic. This further suggested that the acompanied W and Cu mineralization in the Zhuxi W(Cu)deposit which may be controlled by the magma source is enriched in both W and Cu.
