Soft sensor is an efficacious solution to predict the hard-to-measure target variable by using the process variables.In practical application scenarios, however, the feedback cycle of target variable is usually larger...Soft sensor is an efficacious solution to predict the hard-to-measure target variable by using the process variables.In practical application scenarios, however, the feedback cycle of target variable is usually larger than that of the process variables, which causes the deficiency of prediction errors. Consequently soft sensor cannot be calibrated timely and deteriorates. We proposed a soft sensor calibration method by using Just-in-time modeling and Ada Boost learning method. A moving window consisting of a primary part and a secondary part is constructed.The primary part is made of history data from certain number of constant feedback cycles of target variable and the secondary part includes some coarse target values estimated initially by Just-in-time modeling during the latest feedback cycle of target variable. The data set of the whole moving window is processed by Ada Boost learning method to build an auxiliary estimation model and then target variable values of the latest corresponding feedback cycle are reestimated. Finally the soft sensor model is calibrated by using the reestimated target variable values when the target feedback is unavailable; otherwise using the feedback value. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed calibration method is tested and verified through a series of comparative experiments on a pH neutralization facility in our laboratory.展开更多

Especially, the important advantage of the method is small computation time, and hence it realizes real-time obstacle avoidance control for cars. The mechanical properties of hot rolled strip are the key index of product quality,and the soft sensing of them is an important decision basis for the control and optimization of hot rolling process.To solve the probl...The mechanical properties of hot rolled strip are the key index of product quality,and the soft sensing of them is an important decision basis for the control and optimization of hot rolling process.To solve the problem that it is difficult to measure the mechanical properties of hot rolled strip in time and accurately,a soft sensor based on ensemble local modeling was proposed.Firstly,outliers of process data are removed by local outlier factor.After standardization and transformation,normal data that can be used in the model are obtained.Next,in order to avoid redundant variables participating in modeling and reducing performance of models,feature selection was applied combing the mechanism of hot rolling process and mutual information among variables.Then,features of samples were extracted by supervised local preserving projection,and a prediction model was constructed by Gaussian process regression based on just-in-time learning(JITL).Other JITL-based models,such as support vector regression and gradient boosting regression tree models,keep all variables and make up for the lost information during dimension reduction.Finally,the soft sensor was developed by integrating individual models through stacking method.Superiority and reliability of proposed soft sensors were verified by actual process data from a real hot rolling process.展开更多

In this paper the design and implementing techniques of Java JIT compiler based on Chinese open system are discussed in detail. To enhance the portability, a translating method which combines the static simulating method and macro expansion method is adopted. The optimization technique for JIT compiler is also discussed and a way to evaluate the hotspots in Java programs is presented. As the boom of mobile devices,Android mobile apps play an irreplaceable roles in people’s daily life,which have the characteristics of frequent updates involving in many code commits to meet new requirements.Just-in-...As the boom of mobile devices,Android mobile apps play an irreplaceable roles in people’s daily life,which have the characteristics of frequent updates involving in many code commits to meet new requirements.Just-in-Time(JIT)defect prediction aims to identify whether the commit instances will bring defects into the new release of apps and provides immediate feedback to developers,which is more suitable to mobile apps.As the within-app defect prediction needs sufficient historical data to label the commit instances,which is inadequate in practice,one alternative method is to use the cross-project model.In this work,we propose a novel method,called KAL,for cross-project JIT defect prediction task in the context of Android mobile apps.More specifically,KAL first transforms the commit instances into a high-dimensional feature space using kernel-based principal component analysis technique to obtain the representative features.Then,the adversarial learning technique is used to extract the common feature embedding for the model building.We conduct experiments on 14 Android mobile apps and employ four effort-aware indicators for performance evaluation.The results on 182 cross-project pairs demonstrate that our proposed KAL method obtains better performance than 20 comparative methods.展开更多

The assignment formulation for the first problem is briefly discussed followed by the existence of JIT cyclic sequences. Presenting the concise discussion on divisor methods for the discrete apportionment problem, we have proposed two mean-based divisor functions for this problem claiming that they are better than the existing divisors; hence, we found a better bound for the JIT sequencing problem. The linkage of both the problems is characterized in terms of similar type of objective functions. The problems are shown equivalent via suitable transformations and similar properties. The joint approaches for the two problems are discussed in terms of global and local deviations proposing equitably efficient solution.展开更多

In the last two decades,the supply and demand of fuel in Bangladesh increased enormously because of her economic growth.Likewise,energy and power require helping the industry and basic supplies to the citizens.Recent ...In the last two decades,the supply and demand of fuel in Bangladesh increased enormously because of her economic growth.Likewise,energy and power require helping the industry and basic supplies to the citizens.Recent development of electric power industry,is essential to arrange the necessary facilities at seaport and its further transportation to the consignee premises by applying JIT(just-in-time)approach inevitably.Driven in particular,innovation is required in the prime ports Chittagong and Mongla,what’s more,in newly established Payra port.In addition,regional demand especially from Nepal,Bhutan and Seven Sisters of India for importing fuel through Bangladeshi seaports or pertaining intermodal freight transportation of containerized fuel or tanktainer that cloaked up the derived demand of increasing seaport facilitates in Bangladesh.Another factor that will influence the importing and handling of fuel is the environmental compliance and stringent environmental regulations enacted by IMO(International Maritime Organization),hereby,necessary steps to be taken by port authority or government accordingly.Emerging opportunities,in addition to traditional fuel management at port,coal,LPG(liquefied petroleum gas)and LNG(liquefied natural gas)are the new products for Bangladesh and its neighbors as growing demand of receiving in Bangladeshi ports in a big volume progressively.This paper aims to explore the role of port authorities in the process of developing port and intermodal infrastructure and others to mitigate the uprising demand of fuel handling in port protected area and quick transfer of fuel to the final destination.展开更多
