Ophiolite (MORB-type basalt), oceanic island tholeiite and alkaline basalt have been identified. Moreover, this tectonic mélange zone is eastward connected with the Mianlüe suture zone. The deformation characteristics, consisting components and volcanic rock geochemical features for the Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic mélange zone are much similar to those of the Mianlüe suture zone and Deerni ophiolite. Therefore, the Kangxian-Pipasi-Nanping tectonic mélange zone should be the westward extension part of the Mianlüe suture zone. It indicates that the Mianlüe suture zone had extended to the Nanping area.展开更多

It has been used for liver injury and liver fibrosis. The current study was designed to evaluate the anti-hepatic injury activity and the mechanism of Kangxian Pills on a CCl4-induced animal model. Methods To induce chronic liver injury, mice were treated with CCl4 twice a week for four weeks. Kangxian Pills(6 or 12 g/kg) and Compound Biejia Ruangan Tablet(0.901 g/kg) were ig given to mice once daily for four weeks after CCl4 was withdrawal. The anti-hepatic injury activities and mechanisms of Kangxian Pills were assessed by hepatic histology and by measuring the levels of aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT), albumin(ALB), and total protein(TP) of serum as well as superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glycogen(Gn) of the liver. Results Kangxian Pills significantly decreased the levels of liver index, ALT, and AST in mice liver injury models in treatment group. Moreover, Kangxian Pills and Compound Biejia Ruangan Tablet inhibited the CCl4-induced reduction of SOD and Gn levels in the liver. The histological study showed that Kangxian Pills could reduce cellular swelling and infiltration of inflammatory cells in liver injury. Conclusion Kangxian Pills possess the potent abilities to alleviate chronic liver injury, suggesting that Kangxian Pills exert this effect by enhancing the anti-oxidant ability and metabolism of the liver.展开更多

Both morphological and molecular data support its validity. The new species is characterized by: (1) presence of keratinized nuptial spines on the thenar region of the hands in males of the new species, in contrast to F. taihangnica and F. quadranus; (2) of females, the ratios of UEW, INS, NSD and IPTL to SVL ofF. kangxianensis were significantly less than those of F. taihangnica and F. quadranus (P 〈 0.05), while the ratio of IOS to SVL of the new species was significantly larger than that of the latter two species (P 〈 0.05); and (3) of males, the ratios of INS, NSD, IPTW to SVL of the new species were significantly less than those ofF. taihangnica and F. quadranus (P 〈 0.05), while the ratio of HL to SVL of the former was significantly larger than that of the latter, and the ratio of HW to SVL ofF. kangxianensis was significantly larger than that of F. taihangnica but less than that of F. quadranus, the ratio of OPTL to SVL of F. kangxianensis was significantly less than that of F. taihangnica but larger than that of F. quadranus (P 〈 0.05). The three species of Feirana can be easily identified and significantly differ from each other by the canonical discriminant analyses with high correct classification (〉92%). Concurrently, based on partial mitochondrial ND2 gene sequences, the result of the molecular phylogenetic analyses of the Feirana indicates that the F. kangxianensis is sister to F. taihangnica.展开更多
