In the thermal-atom regime, we find that Kerr effect broadens linewidth D and increases frequency-shift S, and that the detuning Δ narrows linewidth D and increases frequency-shift S as a whole. Moreover Kerr effect leads to oscillatings more rapidly in the resonance peaks, which means that it causes quantum noise. As a whole, with the increase of cavity-length L, the linewidth D and frequency-shift S gradually increase.展开更多

It shows that the periodicity of the evolutions of fidelity of quantum information is influenced by the Kerr coefficient, the photon number of the initial field and intensity of light. The evolutions of the fidelity of quantum information are modulated by the initial number state field. The Rabi oscillation frequency and the modulation frequency of fidelity for the field and the system vary with the value of the Kerr coefficient. The evolutions of fidelity of quantum information obviously show the quantum collapse and revival behaviours in the system of atom interacting with light field.展开更多

The influences of initial atomic states, Kerr medium, and cavity-cavity hopping rate on the atom-atom entanglement are discussed. The results obtained by the numerical method show that the atom- atom entanglement is strengthened and even prevented from ESD with increasing cavity-cavity hopping rate and Kerr nonlinearity.展开更多

There are two kinds of interactions in the system, photon-mirror interaction and photon-photon interaction. The optomechanical entanglement created by the former interaction can be effectively controlled by the latter one. We find that the optomechanical entanglement is suppressed by Kerr interaction due to photon blockage. We also find that the Kerr interaction can create the stationary entanglement and induce the resonance of entanglement in the small detuning regime. These results show that the Kerr interaction is an effective control for the optomechanical system.展开更多

The effects of different nonlinear intensities are studied. One can find that the Kerr nonlinearity can reduce the fluctuation amplitudes of the partial entropy changes and the entanglement of the two subsystems, and also influence their periodic evolution. Meanwhile, increasing the Kerr nonlinear strength can convert the anti-correlated behaviour of the partial entropy change to the positively correlated behaviour. Furthermore, the entanglement greatly depends on the temperature. When the temperature or the nonlinear intensity increases to a certain value, the entanglement can be suppressed greatly.展开更多

The time evolution and squeezing of measured phase operators of a coherent field interacting with a two-level atom in the cavity with or without the Kerr medium are investigated. The influences of virtual cavity field on squeezing of measured phase operator are studied. Our numerical results show that the squeezing effects are clearly influenced by Kerr medium parameters, the field intensity, and the detuning. Moreover, the influence of the virtual-photon field makes more quantum noise in the evolution of measured phase operators. A simplified analytic solution to the Schrodinger equation of the system is obtained. The case of A type atom with degenerate lower levels is discussed in detail. It is shown that the coupling strength between atoms and Kerr coefficient affect the system's dynamic behaviors, especially the modulation period and oscillation frequency of the squeezing parameters of the field and the collective dipole moment. Dynamic behaviors of the system are sensitive to the initial state of atoms.展开更多

It is shown that initial entanglement has an interesting subsequent time evolution, including the so-called entanglement sudden death effect. It is also shown analytically that the Kerr-like medium can repress entanglement sudden death and enhance the degree of atom-atom entanglement. A more interesting fact is that the Kerr effect is more obvious when each of the two cavities with have the Kerr-like medium than only one of them with the Kerr-like medium.展开更多
