The new scheme is compared with three other group key management schemes which are based on the keys tree: SKDC, LKH, and OFF. As far as transmission, computation and storage costs are concerned, the performance of the new group key management scheme is the best. The security problem of the new scheme is analyzed. In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), keys could be compromised easily due to its limited hardware protections. A secure group key management scheme is responsible for secure distributing group keys among valid nodes of the group. Based on the key-insulated encryption (KIE), we propose a group key management scheme (KIE-GKMS), which integrates the pair-wise key pre-distribution for WSN. The KIE-GKMS scheme updates group keys dynamically when adding or removing nodes. Moreover, the security analysis proves that the KIE-GKMS scheme not only obtains the semantic security, but also provides the forward and backward security. Finally, the theoretical analysis shows that the KIE-GKMS scheme has constant performance on both communication and storage costs in sensor nodes.展开更多

However, the future of ITS for large scale transportation infrastructures deployment highly depends on the security level of vehicular communication systems (VCS). Security applications in VCS are fulfilled through secured group broadcast. Therefore, secure key management schemes are considered as a critical research topic for network security. In this paper, we propose a framework for providing secure key management within heterogeneous network. The seeurity managers (SMs) play a key role in the framework by retrieving the vehicle departnre infi^rmation, encapsulating block to transport keys and then executing rekeying to vehicles within the same security domain. The first part of this framework is a novel Group Key Management (GKM) scheme basing on leaving probability (LP) of vehicles to depart current VCS region. Vehicle's LP factor is introduced into GKM scheme to achieve a more effieient rekeying scheme and less rekeying costs. The second component of the framework using the blockchain concept to simplify the distributed key management in heterogeneous VCS domains. Extensive simulations and analysis are provided to show the effectiveness and effieiency of the proposed framework: Our GKM results demonstrate that probability-based BR reduees rekeying eost compared to the benchmark scheme, while the blockchain deereases the time eost of key transmission over heterogeneous net-works.展开更多

This paper proposes a privacy-preserving authenticated group-key management protocol for the Mobile Peer-to-Peer Network ( MP2PN ). The MP2PN contains some super peers and each super peer controls a subgroup composed of regular peers. An efficient attribute-based signature based on Cipertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) is proposed and used in this group-key rmnagement protocol to authenticate a peer's at- tributes and identity. A peer can be described by a set of attributes or one unique special identity at- tribute. Peers that have some attributes in common can form a group and conmmnicate with each other anonymously and securely. Any super peer can initiate a group and act as a group controller. The group controller can authenticate a peer's attributes and identity as well as remove malicious peers. Any peer with attributes that rmtches the access structure can join the group and provide its input to form the group key. The proposed protocol pro- vides backward and forward secrecy. The sinmlation results show that this protocol is applicable for mobile devices and can meet the MP2PN requirements of group communication.展开更多

A novel approach to group key transfer protocol based on a category of algebraic-geometry code is presented over the infinite field GF(2 m). The attractive advantages are obvious. Especially, the non-repeatability, confidentiality, and authentication of group key transfer protocols are obtained easily. Besides, a more generalized and simple mathematical construction model is proposed which also can be applied perfectly to related fields of information security.展开更多

The nodes in mobile ad hoc networks are usually low power devices that run on battery power. As a result, the costs of the node resources should be minimized when constructing a group key agreement protocol so that the battery life could be prolonged. To achieve this goal, in this paper we propose a security efficient group key agreement protocol based on Burmester-Desmedt (BD) scheme and layer-cluster group model, referred to as LCKM-BD, which is appropriate for large mobile ad hoe networks. In the layer-cluster group model, BD scheme is employed to establish group key, which can not only meet security demands of mobile ad hoc networks but also improve executing performance. Finally, the proposed protocol LCKM-BD are compared with BD, TGDH (tree-based group Diffe-Hellman), and GDH (group Diffie-Hellman) group key agreement protocols. The analysis results show that our protocol can significantly decrease both the computational overhead and communication costs with respect to these comparable protocols.展开更多

文摘The authentication and privacy of a group member is important in multicast communication. The sinmlation results show that this protocol is applicable for mobile devices and can meet the MP2PN requirements of group communication.

文摘As the wireless medium is characterized by its lossy nature, reliable communication cannot be assumed in the key management scheme. Therefore self-healing is a good property for key distribution scheme in wireless applications. A new self-healing key distribution scheme was proposed, which is optimal in terms of user memory storage and efficient in terms of communication complexity.

文摘Canetti and Herzog have already proposed universally composable symbolic analysis(UCSA) to analyze mutual authentication and key exchange protocols. However, they do not analyze group key exchange protocol. Therefore, this paper explores an approach to analyze group key exchange protocols, which realize automation and guarantee the soundness of cryptography. Considered that there exist many kinds of group key exchange protocols and the participants’ number of each protocol is arbitrary. So this paper takes the case of Burmester-Desmedt(BD) protocol with three participants against passive adversary(3-BD-Passive) . In a nutshell, our works lay the root for analyzing group key exchange protocols automatically without sacrificing soundness of cryptography.

文摘Time efficiency of key establishment and update is one of the major problems contributory key managements strive to address. To achieve better time efficiency in key establishment,we propose a Location-based Huffman(L-Huffman) scheme.First, users are separated into several small groups to minimize communication cost when they are distributed over large networks.Second, both user's computation difference and message transmission delay are taken into consideration when Huffman coding is employed to forming the optimal key tree.Third, the combined weights in Huffman tree are located in a higher place of the key tree to reduce the variance of the average key generation time and minimize the longest key generation time.Simulations demonstrate that L-Huffman has much better performance in wide area networks and is a little better in local area network than Huffman scheme.

文摘Group key management technique is a fundamental building block for secure and reliable group communication systems. In order to successfully achieve this goal, group session key needs to be generated and distributed to all group members in a secure and authenticated manner. The most commonly used method is based on Lagrange interpolating polynomial over the prime field F p={0,1,2,…, p-1}. A novel approach to group key transfer protocol based on a category of algebraic-geometry code is presented over the infinite field GF(2 m). The attractive advantages are obvious. Especially, the non-repeatability, confidentiality, and authentication of group key transfer protocols are obtained easily. Besides, a more generalized and simple mathematical construction model is proposed which also can be applied perfectly to related fields of information security.

文摘Mobile ad hoc networks create additional challenges for implementing the group key establishment due to resource constraints on nodes and dynamic changes on topology. The analysis results show that our protocol can significantly decrease both the computational overhead and communication costs with respect to these comparable protocols.
