Knowledge Application and Improvement Ideas for In-service Social Work Professionals

Social work professionals are an indispensable force for building a harmonious socialist society as well as strengthening and innovating social management.This article analyzed the salary,job satisfaction,and knowledge application of social work professionals in Nanjing(NJ)by means of a survey questionnaire and found that although most professional social workers are relatively satisfied with their jobs in addition to the effective application of their knowledge,a certain percentage of the respondents reported that the knowledge that they had learned at school were not consistent with the actual needs of work,which affected their income levels and job satisfactions.For this reason,it is suggested that a variety of measures should be taken to improve the quality of professional education of social work and enhance the competitiveness as well as the recognition of the social work profession.

Artificial Neural Network Method Based on Expert Knowledge and Its Application to Quantitative Identification of Potential Seismic Sources

In this paper,an approach is developed to optimize the quality of the training samples in the conventional Artificial Neural Network(ANN)by incorporating expert knowledge in the means of constructing expert-rule samples from rules in an expert system,and through training by using these samples,an ANN based on expert-knowledge is further developed.The method is introduced into the field of quantitative identification of potential seismic sources on the basis of the rules in an expert system.Then it is applied to the quantitative identification of the potential seismic sources in Beijing and its adjacent area.The result indicates that the expert rule based on ANN method can well incorporate and represent the expert knowledge in the rules in an expert system,and the quality of the samples and the efficiency of training and the accuracy of the result are optimized.

Development of Conceptual Framework for Knowledge Management Process

Knowledge has become one of the most important driving forces for business success. Organizations are becoming more knowledge intensive. Many firms in the global market are aware of this, and they try to explore the field of knowledge management （KM） in order to improve and sustain their competitiveness. Knowledge has always been the central in the functioning of society. However, in today＇s ＂knowledge economy＂, organizations are increasingly aware of the need for a ＂knowledge focus＂ in their organizational strategies as they respond to changes in the environment. The aim of this paper is to describe the theoretical concepts and approaches of KM process that could be implemented in organizations by reviewing KM process theories and present suggestions for what a general process should include based on analysis of various models presented in KM. The main emphasis is laid upon the concept of goal definition review, validation, and knowledge training processes in order to make sure that KM process initiative will deliver competitive advantage to the organization.

Semantic Link Network Based Knowledge Graph Representation and Construction

A knowledge graph consists of a set of interconnected typed entities and their attributes,which shows a better performance to organize,manage and understand knowledge.However,because knowledge graphs contain a lot of knowledge triples,it is difficult to directly display to researchers.Semantic Link Network is an attempt,and it can deal with the construction,representation and reasoning of semantics naturally.Based on the Semantic Link Network,this paper explores the representation and construction of knowledge graph,and develops an academic knowledge graph prototype system to realize the representation,construction and visualization of knowledge graph.

The Life Cycle of Knowledge in Big Language Models:A Survey

Knowledge plays a critical role in artificial intelligence.Recently,the extensive success of pre-trained language models(PLMs)has raised significant attention about how knowledge can be acquired,maintained,updated and used by language models.Despite the enormous amount of related studies,there is still a lack of a unified view of how knowledge circulates within language models throughout the learning,tuning,and application processes,which may prevent us from further understanding the connections between current progress or realizing existing limitations.In this survey,we revisit PLMs as knowledge-based systems by dividing the life circle of knowledge in PLMs into five critical periods,and investigating how knowledge circulates when it is built,maintained and used.To this end,we systematically review existing studies of each period of the knowledge life cycle,summarize the main challenges and current limitations,and discuss future directions.

A HYBRID MODEL OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT FOR NEW SERVICE DEVELOPMENT

Although many theories regarding the implementation of knowledge management （KM） in organizations have been proposed and studied, most applications tend to stand alone without incorporating the business processes. Different categories of knowledge provide different benefits and how to integrate various categories of KM into a hybrid approach as an effective KM manner remains strategically important, and yet is still understudied. Therefore, in this paper a hybrid model that integrates principal KM applications for new service development （NSD） and the measurement of the resulting f＇mancial benefits have been developed. The proposed KM model incorporates newsgroups, knowledge forums, knowledge asset management and knowledge application processes as a hybrid means for sharing organizational knowledge along two axes, explicit vs. implicit and individual vs. collective. One of the largest management consulting companies in Taiwan, China, whose process model of NSD was standing alone with KM applications, was selected for the case study. A set of hybrid KM processes was developed to implement the proposed KM model, and it illustrates an application with greater financial benefits for integrating hybrid KM practices into the business process. Based on knowledge value added （KVA） validation, the proposed KM model provides a new operating system for sharing NSD knowledge within an organization. Through the case study by measuring the achieved financial results, the proposed KM model is found to provide an exclusive hybrid platform with an empirical process model to address innovative approaches and practical values of KM within an organization.
