To verify the proposed MDRM and compare the computational accuracy of these two methods, a numerical test is designed. The numerical results of the MDRM and DRM are compared using an extended meshed model. The results show that the MDRM significantly improved the computational accuracy of the DRM. Then, the MDRM is compared with two existing conventional methods, namely Liao's transmitting boundary and viscous-spring boundary with Liu's method. The MDRM shows its great advancement in computational accuracy, stability and range of applications. This paper also discusses the influence of boundary location on computational accuracy. It can be concluded that smaller models tend to have larger errors. By introducing two dimensionless parameters, φ_1 and φ_2, the rational distance between the observation point and the MDRM boundary is suggested. When φ_1 >2 or φ_2>13, the relative PGA error can be limited to 5%. In practice, the appropriate model size can be chosen based on these two parameters to achieve desired computational accuracy.展开更多

Due to space restrictions, however, there are difficulties and potential danger when testing large bridge cranes. To solve the loading problems of large-tonnage cranes during testing, an equivalency test is proposed based on the similarity theory and BP neural networks. The maximum stress and displacement of a large bridge crane is tested in small loads, combined with the training neural network of a similar structure crane through stress and displacement data which is collected by a physics simulation progressively loaded to a static load test load within the material scope of work. The maximum stress and displacement of a crane under a static load test load can be predicted through the relationship of stress, displacement, and load. By measuring the stress and displacement of small tonnage weights, the stress and displacement of large loads can be predicted, such as the maximum load capacity, which is 1.25 times the rated capacity. Experimental study shows that the load reduction test method can reflect the lift capacity of large bridge cranes. The load shedding predictive analysis for Sanxia 1200 t bridge crane test data indicates that when the load is 1.25 times the rated lifting capacity, the predicted displacement and actual displacement error is zero. The method solves the problem that lifting capacities are difficult to obtain and testing accidents are easily possible when 1.25 times related weight loads are tested for large tonnage cranes.展开更多

Based on static anti-sliding stability analysis of the dam foundation undertaken by decreasing the shear strength parameters of the rock mass in equal proportion, the seismic time history analysis was carried out. The proposed instability criterion for the dynamic strength reduction method was that the peak values of dynamic displacements and plastic strain energy change suddenly with the increase of the strength reduction factor. The elasto-plastic behavior of the dam foundation was idealized using the Drucker-Prager yield criterion based on the associated flow rule assumption. The result of elasto-plastic time history analysis of an overflow dam monolith based on the dynamic strength reduction method was compared with that of the dynamic linear elastic analysis, and the reliability of elasto-plastic time history analysis was confirmed. The results also show that the safety factors of the dam-foundation system in the static and dynamic cases are 3.25 and 3.0, respectively, and that the F2 fault has a significant influence on the anti-sliding stability of the high gravity dam. It is also concluded that the proposed instability criterion for the dynamic strength reduction method is feasible.展开更多

However, the preparation of Fe-based carbon materials is still carried out by conventional heating method (CHM). Herein, a novel microwave-assisted carbon bath method (MW-CBM) was proposed, which only took 35 min to synthesize Fe/Fe3C nanoparticles encapsulated in N-doped carbon layers derived from Prussian blue (PB). The catalyst contained large specific surface area and mesoporous structure, abundant Fe-Nx and C–N active sites, unique core-shell structure. Due to the synergistic effects of these features, the as-prepared Fe/Fe3C@NC-2 displayed outstanding ORR activity with onset potential of 0.98 VRHE and halfwave potential of 0.87 VRHE, which were more positive than 20 wt.% Pt/C (0.93 VRHE and 0.82 VRHE). Besides, Fe/Fe3C@NC-2 gave a better stability and methanol tolerance than Pt/C towards ORR in alkaline media, too.展开更多

A new double reduction method, including a detailed calculation procedure and a definition of FOS for slope stability was developed based on the understanding of SRM. When constructing the new definition of FOS, efforts were made to make sure that it has concise physical meanings and fully reflects the shear strength of the slope. Two examples, slopes A and B with the slope angles of 63° and 34° respectively, were given to verify the method presented. It is found that, for these two slopes, the FOSs from original strength reduction method are respectively 1.5% and 38% higher than those from double reduction method. It is also found that the double reduction method predicts a deeper potential slide line and a larger slide mass. These results show that on one hand, the double reduction method is comparative to the traditional methods and is reasonable, and on the other hand, the original strength reduction method may overestimate the safety of a slope. The method presented is advised to be considered as an additional option in the practical slope stability evaluations although more useful experience is required.展开更多

Experimental results for the heteroepitaxial growth of β-Ga_(2)O_(3) illustrate that β-Ga_(2)O_(3) growth by the carbothermal reduction method can be controlled. The optimal result was obtained at a growth temperature of 1050 °C. The fastest growth rate of β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films was produced when the O_(2) flow was 20 sccm. In current work, a facile vacuum casting reacting method based on vacuum casting was introduced to prepare Fe-N_x-C oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) catalysts with high efficient in acid medium. The catalysts were prepared with ammonium ferrous sulfate hexahydrate(AFS) and 1,10-phenanthroline monohydrate utilizing homemade mesoporous silica template. The heat treatment and its influence on structure and performance were systematically evaluated to achieve superior ORR performance and some clues were found. And 850 ℃ was found to be the best temperature for the first and second pyrolysis. The linear sweep voltammetry(LSV) results showed that there were only 18 mV slightly negative shifts of half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of the optimal catalyst(749 mV) compared with the commercial Pt/C(20 μg·Pt·cm^-2). Besides, I850 R also showed better electrochemical stability and methanol-tolerance than that of Pt/C. All evidences proved that our vacuum casting reacting strategy and heat treatment process were prospective for the future R&D of high performance Fe-N_x-C ORR catalysts.展开更多

The inclined ultimate loads by the static loading test, load increment method(LIM) and SRM are compared. Theoretically, the ultimate load of piles does not change with the loading levels when it is calculated by SRM. When the one strength reduction parameter is applied in the calculation boundary, there are calculating errors because the bearing capacity action of soils happened in the finite zone. The inclined loadings are 108, 132 and 144 kN, and SSC are 1.07, 0.94 and 0.79, respectively, so the calculation values of ultimate loads are about 115.56, 124.08 and 113.76 kN, respectively. The error between calculations and observation values is less than 6%. But the error between calculations of LIM and observations is 20%. Because of the effect of inclined loading, the push-rotation phenomenon of screw pile group appears. Under this testing, the ultimate bearing capacity of piles is mostly determined by the horizontal ultimate bearing capacity, and the effect of the vertical component of inclined load should also be considered.展开更多

The powder synthesized was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) to confirm the phase formation, and the thermodynamic analysis was performed systematically. Moreover, the variation of its microwave permittivity with different atomic ratio of Al/Si was investigated in the frequency range of 8.2-12.4 GHz. The results show that, the powder obtained consists of spherical particles of 300-400 nm in diameter, which are composed of SiC and Al2O3 microcrystal with the grain size of approximately 45 nm. The results of XRD accord with those of the thermodynamic analysis. It is impossible for Al atoms to dissolve in the lattice of SiC during the carbothermal reduction process. Along with the increase of atomic ratio of Al/Si in the xerogel, the amount of Al2O3 in the powder synthesized increases, which reduces bothε', the real part of complex permittivity, and tgδ(ε'/ε'), the dissipation factor, whereε' is the imaginary part of complex permittivity.展开更多

文摘In the traditional strength reduction method, the cohesion and the friction angle adopt the same reduction parameter, resulting in equivalent proportional reduction. This method does not consider the different effects of the cohesion and friction angle on the stability of the same slope and is defective to some extent.Regarding this defect,a strength reduction method based on double reduction parameters, which adopts different reduction parameters,is proposed. The core of the double-parameter reduction method is the matching reduction principle of the slope with different angles. This principle is represented by the ratio of the reduction parameter of the cohesion to that of the friction angle, described asη.With the increase in the slope angle,ηincreases;in particular, when the slope angle is 45°,ηis 1.0.Through the matching reduction principle, different safety margin factors can be calculated for the cohesion and friction angle. In combination with these two safety margin factors,a formula for calculating the overall safety factor of the slope is proposed, reflecting the different contributions of the cohesion and friction angle to the slope stability. Finally,it is shown that the strength reduction method based on double reduction parameters acquires a larger safety factor than the classic limit equilibrium method, but the calculation results are very close to those obtained by the limit equilibrium method.

文摘The reduction of molecular nitrogen(N_(2))to ammonia(NH_(3))under mild conditions is one of the most promising studies in the energy field due to the important role of NH_(3)in modern industry, production, and life. The photocatalytic reduction of N_(2)is expected to achieve clean and sustainable NH_(3)production by using clean solar energy. To date, the new photocatalysts for photocatalytic reduction of N_(2)to NH_(3)at room temperature and atmospheric pressure have not been fully developed. The major challenge is to achieve high light-absorption efficiency, conversion efficiency, and stability of photocatalysts.Herein, the methods for measuring produced NH_(3)are compared, and the problems related to possible NH_(3)pollution in photocatalytic systems are mentioned to provide accurate ideas for measuring photocatalytic efficiency. The recent progress of nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)photocatalysts at ambient temperature and pressure is summarized by introducing charge transfer, migration, and separation in photocatalytic NRR,which provides a guidance for the selection of future photocatalyst.More importantly,we introduce the latest research strategies of photocatalysts in detail, which can guide the preparation and design of photocatalysts with high NRR activity.

文摘Oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is the heart of many new energy conversions and storage devices, such as metal-air batteries and fuel cells. However,ORR is currently facing the dilemma of sluggish intrinsic kinetics and the noble electrocatalysts of high price and low reserves. In this work, isolated Co atoms anchored on defective nitrogen-doped carbon graphene single-atom catalyst(Co-SAC/NC)are synthesized via the proposed movable type printing method. The prepared Co-SAC/NC catalyst demonstrates admirable ORR performance, with a high half-wave potential of 0.884 V in alkaline electrolytes and outstanding durability. In addition,an assembled zinc–air battery with prepared Co-SAC/NC as air-cathode catalyst displays a high-peak power density of 179 mW cm^(-2)and a high-specific capacity(757 mAh g^(-1)).Density functional theory calculations confirm that the true active sites of the prepared catalyst are Co-N_(4)moieties,and further reveal a significantly electronic structure evolution of Co sites in the ORR process,in which the project density of states and local magnetic moment of Co atom varies during its whole reaction process. This work not only paves a new avenue for synthesizing SACs as robust electrocatalysts, but also provides an electronic-level insight into the evolution of the electronic structure of single-atom catalysts.

文摘Fe-based carbon materials are widely considered promising to replace Pt/C as next-generation electrocatalysts towards oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Besides, Fe/Fe3C@NC-2 gave a better stability and methanol tolerance than Pt/C towards ORR in alkaline media, too.

文摘The core of strength reduction method(SRM) involves finding a critical strength curve that happens to make the slope globally fail and a definition of factor of safety(FOS). The method presented is advised to be considered as an additional option in the practical slope stability evaluations although more useful experience is required.

文摘We investigated the influence of the growth temperature, O_(2) flow, molar ratio between Ga_(2)O_(3) powder and graphite powder on the structure and morphology of the films grown on the c-plane sapphire(0001) substrates by a carbothermal reduction method. To guarantee that β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films with both high-quality crystal and morphology properties, the ideal molar ratio between graphite powder and Ga_(2)O_(3) powder should be set at 10 : 1.

文摘Affordable non-precious metal(NPM) catalysts played a vital role in the wide application of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells(PEMFC). All evidences proved that our vacuum casting reacting strategy and heat treatment process were prospective for the future R&D of high performance Fe-N_x-C ORR catalysts.

文摘In order to expand the application of strength reduction methods with the ubiquitous-joint criterion, the corresponding program is compiled using FLAC3D software.A procedure for strength reduction in the ubiquitous-joint criterion is proposed to study the safety factor of slopes as well as the relationships of the bedding plane inclination angle β and the safety factor F.The results show that:1) for the bedding rock slope, the various failure modes cause different variations of the safety factor F;2) a bedding rock slope can be divided into two types by the angle between the bedding plane inclination and slope surface inclination α;when α≤45°,the bedding slope can be strictly defined as the subsequent bedding rock slope;when 45°<α<90°,the bedding slope is defined as an oblique bedding slope;3) for bedding rock slopes, the safety factor increases with an increase in α;for inverse bedding slopes, when the bedding plane inclination angle β is small, the safety factor F of the slope increases at first, then decreases with an increase in α;when β is large, the safety factor F increases with an increase in α.

文摘Based on the functional theory, catastrophe theory, simultaneity principle and the idea of strength reduction method(SRM), the bearing capacity functional and SRM of pile group foundation were established, and the criteria of ultimate load and the concept of safety storage coefficient(CSS) were advanced. Under this testing, the ultimate bearing capacity of piles is mostly determined by the horizontal ultimate bearing capacity, and the effect of the vertical component of inclined load should also be considered.

文摘The approximate direct reduction method is applied to the perturbed mKdV equation with weak fourth order dispersion and weak dissipation. The similarity reduction solutions of different orders conform to formal coherence, accounting for infinite series reduction solutions to the original equation and general formulas of similarity reduction equations. Painleve Ⅱ type equations, hyperbolic secant and Jacobi elliptic function solutions are obtained for zeroorder similarity reduction equations. Higher order similarity reduction equations are linear variable coefficient ordinary differential equations.

文摘SiC-Al2O3 composite powder was prepared by sol-gel and carbothermal reduction method. Along with the increase of atomic ratio of Al/Si in the xerogel, the amount of Al2O3 in the powder synthesized increases, which reduces bothε', the real part of complex permittivity, and tgδ(ε'/ε'), the dissipation factor, whereε' is the imaginary part of complex permittivity.
