A composite photocatalyst (La/TiO2/Fe3O4) with a lanthanum doped TiO2 (La/TiO2) shell and a magnetite core was prepared by coating photoactive La/TiO2 onto a magnetic Fe3O4 core. The morphological, structural, and optical properties of as-prepared samples were charac-terized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. The effect of lanthanum content on the photocatalytic properties was studied, and the result revealed that 0.15 mol% La/TiO2/Fe3O4 exhibited the highest photoactiv-ity. The photocatalytic properties of the prepared photocatalyst under UV and visible light were investigated in aqueous solution using methyl orange (MO) as a target pollutant. The results showed that the prepared photocatalyst was activated by visible light and used as an ef-fective catalyst in photooxidation reactions. In addition, the possibility of cyclic usage of the prepared photocatalyst was also confirmed. Moreover, La/TiO2 was tightly bound to Fe3O4 and could be easily recovered from the medium by a simple magnetic process. 展开更多

We present an effective way in this paper to increase the density of lanthanum doped bismuth titanate ceramics, Bi4-xLaxTi3O12 (BLT), thereby significantly improving the performance of the BLT ceramics. Dense BLT ceramicses, Bi4-xLaxTi3O12 (x = 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0), are prepared by using nanocrystalline powders fabricated by a -gel method and high-pressure technique. The microstructures of the BLT ceramicses prepared separately by conventional-pressure and high-pressure techniques are investigated by using x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. The influence of La-doping on the densification of bismuth titanate ceramics is investigated. The experimental results indicate that the phase compositions of all samples with various lanthanum dopings sintered at 900℃ possess layer- structure of Bi4Ti3O12. The green compacts are pressed under 2.5 GPa, 3.0 GPa, 3.5 GPa and 4.0 GPa, separately. It is found that the density of BLT ceramics is significantly increased due to the decreasing of porosity in the green compacts by high-pressure process. 展开更多

A series of lanthanum doped meosoporous MCM-41 (LaxM41, x is Si/La molar ratio) was prepared by sol-gel method. The surface structure of the materials was investigated with X-ray diffraction and N2 adsorption/desorption technique. The content of La in the materials was determined by ICE It was found that the La content of La25M41, La50M41 and La100M41 was 7.53%, 3.89% and 2.32%, respectively. The phosphate adsorption capacities increased with increasing amount of La incorporation. With 0.40 g La25M41 99.7% phosphate could be removed. The effects of Si/La molar ratio, LaxM41 dose, pH, initial concentration of phosphate solution, co-ions on phosphate adsorption were also evaluated. The phosphate adsorption kinetics of LaxM41 could be well-described by the pseudo second-order model, and Langmuir isotherm fit equilibrium data much better than the Freundlich isotherm. 展开更多

The lanthanum trivalent ion doped TiO2 nanopowders were prepared by liquid plasma spray with solution of titanium tetra-tert-butoxide and alcohol as feedstock and La(NO3)3·6H2O as doping component. The photocatalytic activity of samples at different doping concentrations in photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange was discussed. The powders were characterized by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and the effect of doped ion on the pattern, phase composition and crystallite sizes were analyzed. The results indicated that lanthanum trivalent ion doped TiO2 nanopowders could be prepared by liquid plasma spray. Lanthanum trivalent ion doping increased the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 greatly, the optimal doping concentration was 0.5%. The doped powders were the mixture of anatase phase and rutile phase. The contents of anatase phase decreased firstly and then increased with an increase in the contents of lanthanum trivalent ion. Doping lanthanum trivalent ion could make the TiO2 nanopowders uniform and reduced its particle size. 展开更多

A 65. 8-μm dense doped lanthanum gallate La0.8Sr0.2 Ga0.85 Mg0.15 O2.825(LSGM)film was prepared on a porous Ni/SDC(samarium doped ceria, Ce0.8Sm0.2O1.9 ) anode support by colloid susponsion deposition with incomplete crystallization LSGM powder as a starting material. The phase composition and micromorphology of the LSGM film were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The electrical properties of the LSGM film and the performances of the LSGM film solid oxide fuel cell were also analyzed. The results show that beth the dense LSGM film on the porous anode support, and the required phase composition of the LSGM film were obtained simultaneously by sintering at 1400 ℃ for 6 h. The adhesion between the LSGM film and the porous anode support is very strong. The electrical conductivities of the LSGM film on the porous anode support are 0. 113 and 0. 173 S/cm at 800 and 850℃, respectively. Powders of spinel LiLaxMn2-xO4 were successfully synthesized by the ultrasonic-assisted sol-gel (UASG) method. The structure and properties of LiLaxMn2-xO4 were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), galvanostatic charge-discharge test, and cyclic voltammetry (CV). XRD results show that the La^3+ can partially reptace Mn^3+ in the spinel and the doped materials with La^3+ have a larger lattice constant compared with pristine LiMn2O4. FT-IR indicates that the absorption peak of Mn^3+-O and Mn^4+- O bonds has a red and blue shift with the increase of doping lanthanum in LiLaxMn2-xO4, respectively. The charge-discharge test exhibits that the initial discharge capacity of LiLaxMn2-xO4 drops off, and the capacity retention increases gradually at C/5 discharge rate with the increase of doping lanthanum, and LiLa0.01Mn1.99O4 has a higher discharge capacity and a better cycling performance at 1C discharge rate. CV reveals that the doping La^3+ is beneficial to the reversible extraction and intercalation of Li^+ ions. 展开更多

A kind of La doped ferrite was prepared with marine manganese nodules derived from East Pacific sea-bottom as raw material, NaOH as fluxing reagent, La(NO3)3 as doping agent, by calcination at 1000 ℃ for 5 h. XRD analysis showed that the ferrite products were of a spinel structure, and that its molecular formula could be expressed as MnFe2-xRxO4. SEM images proved that these ferrites showed octahedral and cubic aspects. It was found that there is some relationship between the La doping amount and the magnetic property of the ferrite. When the La doping amount was 0.03, the susceptibility of the ferrite was maximal. The as-prepared La doped ferrite is a kind of soft magnetic material that is easy to be magnetized with rather weak coercive force. 展开更多

Oxygen ion conductivity of La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Ga_(0.83)Mg_(0.17-x)Co_xO_(3-δ) synthesized by laser rapid solidification

Materials Lao.8Sro.2Gao.83Mgo.17_xCox03_6 with x = 0, 0.05, 0.085, 0.10, and 0.15 are synthesized by laser rapid solidification. It is shown that the samples prepared by laser rapid solidification give rise to unique spear-like or leaf-like microstructures which are orderly arranged and densely packed. Their electrical properties each show a general depen dence of the Co content and the total conductivities of Lao.8Sro.2Gao.83Mgo.085Coo.08503_6 prepared by laser rapid solidification are measured to be 0.067, 0.124, and 0.202 S.cm-1 at 600, 700, and 800 ℃, respectively, which are much higher than by conventional solid state reactions. Moreover, the electrical conductivities each as a function of the oxy gen partial pressure are also measured. It is shown that the samples with the Co content values 〈 8.5 mol% each exhibit basically ionic conduction while those for Co content values 〉 10 mol % each show ionic mixed electronic conduction under oxygen partial pressures from 10-16 atm (1 atm = 1.01325 x 105 Pa) to 0.98 atm. The improved ionic conductivity of Lao.sSro.2Gao.83Mgo.085Coo.08503 prepared by laser rapid solidification compared with by solid state reactions is attributed to the unique microstructure of the sample generated during laser rapid solidification. 展开更多

The effect of Fe doping on the electrical properties of lanthanum silicates was investigated. The apatite-type lanthanum silicates La10Si6-xFexO27-x/2 (x=0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) were synthesized via sol-gel process. The unit cell volume increased with Fe doping because the ionic radius of Fe3+ ion is larger than that of Si4+ ion. The conductivities of La10Si6-xFexO27 x/2 first increased and then decreased with the increasing of Fe content. The increase of the conductivity might be attributed to the distortion of the cell lattice, which assisted the migration of the interstitial oxygen ions. The decrease of the conductivity might be caused by the lower concentration of interstitial oxygen ions. The optimum Fe doping content in lanthanum silicates was 0.6. La10Si5.4Fe0.6O26.7 exhibited the highest ionic conductivity of 2.712× 10^-2 S/cm at 800 ℃. The dependence of conductivity on oxygen partial pressure p(O2) suggested that the conductivity of La10Si6-xFexO27-x/2 was mainly contributed by ionic conductivity. 展开更多

金属卤化物钙钛矿多晶薄膜因其低廉的成本以及可大面积制备的优势受到研究者的广泛关注.然而,钙钛矿多晶薄膜的光致发光量子效率和稳定性仍然无法媲美钙钛矿量子点,也无法满足显示技术要求.本文采用镧离子掺杂策略,提高钙钛矿多晶薄膜... 金属卤化物钙钛矿多晶薄膜因其低廉的成本以及可大面积制备的优势受到研究者的广泛关注.然而,钙钛矿多晶薄膜的光致发光量子效率和稳定性仍然无法媲美钙钛矿量子点,也无法满足显示技术要求.本文采用镧离子掺杂策略,提高钙钛矿多晶薄膜的发光性能,进一步提升了钙钛矿材料商业化的可能性.镧离子进入晶格可大大改善晶体质量,过量的镧离子和钙钛矿前驱液自组装形成了(FA,Cs)2LaBr5这种多能级物质,因此构建了新型能量漏斗,增强了钙钛矿主体发光性能.最终,镧掺杂FA0.7Cs0.3PbBr3钙钛矿薄膜实现了99.5%的光致发光量子效率.得益于镧掺杂带来的离子迁移活化能和可迁移离子形成能的提升,优化后的钙钛矿多晶薄膜也实现了近1000天的储存半衰期(T50)和400小时的持续光照稳定性(T90).此外,得益于多能级物质的自组装形成,镧掺杂的方式对于全可见光波段钙钛矿材料发光都具有明显的增强作用.由此得到的高纯高效三基色钙钛矿发光覆盖了Rec.2020色域标准的98.9%,这项工作大大推进了钙钛矿多晶薄膜在液晶显示技术背光板中的应用. 展开更多

Photocatalytic technology can solve various environmental pollution problems,especially antibiotic pollution.A novel La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO composite material was successfully synthesized by a combination of hydrothermal method and calcination,showing high photocatalytic degradation percent of sulfamethazine(SMT).The 2 mol%La MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst shows the highest degradation efficiency toward SMT(92%)within 120 min,which is 4.1 times higher than pure ZnO(increased from 18%to 92%).In addition,the degradation analysis of SMT by high performance liquid chromatography proves that the products are CO_(2) and H_(2)O.The improved photocatalytic activity is mostly caused by the following factors.(1)Doping La ions can decrease the band gap of ZnO,enhance light response,and effectively enhance the separation rate of photo-generated holes and electrons.(2)MIL-53(Al)can adsorb SMT and promote the separation of electron.This work shows that the synthesized La-doped MIL-53(Al)/ZnO photocatalyst is expected to be used as a green and effective method for treatment of environment water pollution. 展开更多

In this work,the unique starlike La-doped ZnO-SiO_(2) photocatalysts were constructed by an evaporation and calcination method and characterized in detail.UV-vis reflectance and DFT calculation confirm that the doping with La allows to obtain a decrease of band gap of ZnO/SiO_(2),which enhances visible light absorbance and oxidizing ability.The photoluminescence intensity reduces greatly,indicating more effective separation of the photo generated carriers of La-doped ZnO-SiO_(2).Photocatalytic activities of Ladoped ZnO-SiO_(2) with different doping ratios under simulated visible light irradiation were evaluated with malachite green(MG) as a model pollutant.Under optimized conditions including solution pH of 8,15 mg/L of MG solution and 15 mg of catalyst dosage,0.2% La-ZnO-SiO_(2) exhibits the best catalytic activity in photodegradations of MG in water.The removal and mineralization efficiency of MG can reach 96.1%and 70.9% in 140 min,respectively.The as-prepared catalysts present superior stability and recyclability after four times reuse.Moreover,selective quenching experiments indicate that hydroxyl radical(·OH),hole(h^(+)) and superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-)) are the main reactive species responsible for MG degradation.Possible mechanism for photocatalytic elimination of MG over La-doped ZnO/SiO_(2) photocatalyst is finally proposed. 展开更多

Alien atom was used to obtain a series of Li Fe1-xLaxPO4/C(x=0,0.002,0.005,0.01,0.015)cathode materials with the aim of investigating the influence of participation of La on the electrochemical behavior of Li Fe PO4/C.Combination of X-ray diffractometer,scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive spectrometer and high resolution transmission electron microscope was applied.The results show that all the La-doped Li Fe PO4/C samples are olivine type crystals,La ion is sufficiently introduced into the network,and every element is well homogeneously distributed.There are many pore spaces on the surface of particles.The content of carbon in the prepared cathode materials remains 13.6%calculated by TGA/DTA curves,and the particles are wrapped by a uniformly and continuous carbon layer with the thickness of about 2 nm.Similarly,the content of Fe2P also keeps the same basically in all the cathode materials as a result of the similar ratio(2.35)of peak intensity at 36.5o and 37.1o from XRD.The increasing trend is most pronounced at doped 0.005which presents the highest initial discharge capacity of 163 mA-h/g,lowest charge transfer resistance of 5.52-,superior diffuse ability of lithium ion(10-11 cm2/s)and the best capacity retention current rate of about 93%after 50 cycles at 0.1 C. 展开更多
