[ Method] I.aad acetate (100 mg/L) and/or cadmium chloride (50 mg/L) were administered in drinking water to 120 individuals of 40 -week -old hyline layers for 8 weeks. [ Result] Compared with the Cd group, the Cd content in various tissues, except kidney and femur, in Cd + Pb group all increased, but the difference was not significant (P 〉 0.05 ). The Cd contents in kidney and femur in Cd group were significantly higher than that in Cd + Pb group. Compared with the group Pb, the Pb contents in breast muscle and kidney in Cd + Pb group decreased significantly ( P 〈 0.05 ) ; the Pb contents in femur decreased extremely ( P 〈 0.01 ) ; while the Pb contents in leg muscle, heart and spleen increased significantly ( P 〈 0.05 ) ; the Pb contents in liver and glandular stomach were almost the same. Compared with the control group, the Cd content in various tissues in Pb group increased significantly ( P 〈 0.05 ) ; no significant changes were observed for Pb content in Cd group. [ Conclusion] Deposit of Pb and Cd in poultry body had complex interaction.展开更多

Poor selection of the leading-edge profile hampers effectiveness of the experiment and increases testing costs associated with interchanging of leading edges to attain accurate results. Thus, the appropriate selection of the leading edge is a very crucial part of the wind tunnel experiment process. It is argued that the curvature of the leading edge and thus the AR is of paramount importance to achieve accurate results from the wind tunnel testing. In this project, seven different elliptical leading edges were tested, and their performance was compared with an ideal leading edge with zero thickness. Experiments and computation have been done for leading edges ranging from AR6 to AR20. Results were evaluated for boundary layer transition onset location, and it was found that AR20 has the least influence on the flow structure when compared to the ideal leading edge. A study of the flow structure at the stagnation point indicates an increase in adverse pressure gradient with an increase in the AR but also shows a decrease in the size of the stagnation region. The presence of a higher AR leading edge reduces the turbulent spot production rate, which is one of the primary causes of boundary layer transition. This paper presents a correlation that enables aerodynamicists to quantify the impact of the leading-edge AR on transition. A typical case is also presented to compare the relative performance of a wedge and the higher AR leading edge, which provides a choice between an elliptical or a wedge-shaped leading edge.展开更多

Receptivity is the initial stage and plays a crucial role in the entire transition process. The previous studies of receptivity focus on external disturbances such as sound waves and vortices in the free stream, whereas those on the leading-edge receptivity to the three-dimensional free-stream turbulence (FST), which is more general in the nature, are rarely reported. In consideration of this, this work is devoted to investigating the receptivity process of three-dimensional Tollmien-Schlichting (T-S) wave packets excited by the three-dimensional FST in a flat-plate boundary layer numerically. The relations between the leading-edge receptivity and the turbulence intensity are established, and the influence of the FST directions on the propagation directions and group velocities of the excited T-S wave packets is studied. Moreover, the leading-edge receptivity to the anisotropic FST is also studied. This parametric investigation can contribute to the prediction of laminar-turbulent transition.展开更多

Cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, weight loss measurements and scanning electronic microscope analysis have allowed exploring the oxidation process and characterizing the formed corrosion layer. According to our results, barium introduction into lead-tin-calcium alloys increases their hardness, reduces their electrochemical activity, and improves their corrosion stability. Reduction of the calcium content in the alloy can be compensated by adding barium. Barium dopation at lead-tin-calcium alloys decreases the resistance of the oxide layer formed on the grid surface, in a deeply discharged state, and raises its resistance during floating conditions and at a charged state of the positive electrode.展开更多

The compound (C14H13N4O6PbS, Mr = 572.53) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 11.2984(2), b = 15.6628(7), c = 11.1118(2)A,β= 113.564(2)°, V = 1802.43(10)A3, Dc= 2.110 g/cm3, Z = 4,μt(MoKα) = 9.515 mm-1, F(000) = 1084, the final R = 0.0394 and wR = 0.0701 for 2552 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ(I). The Pb(Ⅱ) ion displays a distorted octahedron in which the hypothesized stereochemically active lone pair occupies the apex. The compound exhibits a two-dimensional network structure formed by the zigzag one-dimensional chains joined by two μ-O of two nitrate groups in overlapping. A large ring exists in the two-dimensional layers. The TGA of the title compound has been studied.展开更多

Sulphides can be used to study the geochronology of ore processes as well, since they should indicate the time of ore mineralization. Gabbronorite has been sampled from the Passivaara reef at the Penikat layered intrusion (Finland) for U-Pb and Sm-Nd isotope single zircon analyses in order to separate sulphide minerals. The Sm-Nd isotope age of gabbronorite has been dated at 2426 ± 36 Ma;eNd(T) = −1.4 ± 0.4. The Sm-Nd isotope age on sulphides and rock-forming minerals reflects the crystallization time of the ore-bearing gabbronorite from the Passivaara reef of the Penikat layered intrusion. The mass-spectrometer analytical environment and modes of operation have been adjusted to detect REE in sulphide minerals on example of pyrite from the PGE Penikat layered intrusion (Finland) and chalcopyrite from the Talnakh deposit (Norilsk area, Russia) has been estimated. The total REE content in pyrite is ca. 3.5 ppm, which is enough to define the Sm-Nd age of pyrite. The study shows how to use the mineral/chondrite spectra to evaluate the accuracy of the REE analytical results on example of State Standard Sample 2463 (Russia).展开更多
