Design of Library Management System based on Internet of Things

This paper briefly introduces the concept and the development of technology of the Internet of things, systematically elaborated the key technology of RFID, sensors, smart chip and wireless transmission network in process of construction for library management system, and put forward library management system based on the Intemet of things. The paper design architecture scheme for the system in accordance with the reader＇ s habit, management staff and the library functions. The purpose of the article expound the concept of intelligent library, provides the strategy guide for intelligent library development system based on the Interact of things.

Promotion of library management and book circulation to research on medical research

With the acceleration of the process of social information, information resources construction has become an important part of national development strategies. The library is one of the main information resources constructions and is an important information resource position of social construction. Computer applications in the book management, greatly improve the management efficiency of the library, and have changed the traditional management service model. In search of service innovations by public libraries in Chinese urban centers:A case study of Dongguan Library

This article introduces several of the more significant service delivery innovations and their resulting accomplishments instigated by Dongguan Library(thereafter abbreviated as DGL) in recent years. The textual exposition of this paper is based on a case study of DGL by this author about its user-centered vision, mission, immediate objectives and the exhibited service performance within a contextual environment of collegial support from its professional peers. After a five-year period of intensive efforts on such focused professional development and practice, DGL has completed its information service mapping and information delivery for the entire municipality of Dongguan on a 7-day and twentyfour-hour(7/24) basis. This singular feast of accomplishment seems to suggest the moral that any significant development of scale of a municipal library has to be in keeping pace closely with the progress of the society at large in general and with the changing information demands of its local clientele in particular.

An empirical research on strategic planning in public libraries of China's Mainland

Purpose: As an important issue, strategic planning in public libraries has been paid more attention in China recent years. However, a comprehensive and systematic research, especially strategic models based on empirical studies, is required in the public library strategic planning. The purpose of this research is to investigate the current practices and propose an appropriate reference and guidance of strategic planning in public libraries in China’s mainland.Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire-based survey method is carried out to collect the views of public libraries staff at different levels in China’s mainland. The questionnaire is designed on the following four aspects toward strategic planning in public libraries: The attitude, the status quo, basic issues and the guides. The 882 valid questionnaires are processed by a statistic analysis to reflect the current practices of strategic planning in public libraries in China’s mainland.Findings: Our research results reveal that the unclear and confused understanding of the strategic planning still exist among the public libraries staff in China’s mainland. However, the majority of respondents still believe that the strategic planning in public libraries is significant and the library developments will be affected for lacking strategic planning. Moreover, it is considerable that the strategic plans are jointly made by independent agencies and public libraries, or by the public library itself. Also, guidelines and a set of softwares in strategic planning are needed.Research limitations/implications: The study was restricted to six main areas in China. A wider geographic sampling can preferable show the basic status of strategic planning in public libraries.The procedures of data collection would be another limitation. Nevertheless, case studies should be used in the further research.Originality: The importance of this research originates from a large number of first-hand data about strategic planning in public libraries in China’s mainland. The results provide extra perception into the future development of Chinese public libraries. The understanding obtained from this study will play a part in forthcoming evolution of this area of research.

The Application of Data & Graphic Managing Technology in Oil & Gas Exploration

The managing of information and data between researching groups is critical to the success of any exploration or development project. Poor communication and data sharing between technological departments can result in incomplete interpretations or inaccurate drilling decisions making. According to the statistic results, the time cost in retrieving and collecting data will occupy more than 70 % percent of the total working time of technicians during the petroleum geological researching. This paper is a summary of the characteristics and the development of the Data & Graphic management system for oil & gas exploration.After that the system's application in oil & gas exploration and researching, which has improved the quality and accurateness of mapping has been summarized in detail. The application of the system mentioned above has proved to be very successful in Daqing oilfield.
