Based on our research findings, we concluded our research paper with a set of evaluative comments and suggestions. Those remarks are aimed at furthering the TWIMS’ functionality and reconstructing a more sensible questionnaire survey appertaining to the system users’ experience as well in the next phase of our extended research.展开更多

For this reason, a mobile agent based framework for integrating digital library system is proposed. Based on this framework, a prototype system is implemented and the key technique for it are described. Insertional mutation,phenotypic evaluation,and mutated gene cloning are widely used to clone genes from scratch.Exogenous genes can be integrated into the genome during non-homologous end joining(NHEJ)of the double-st...Insertional mutation,phenotypic evaluation,and mutated gene cloning are widely used to clone genes from scratch.Exogenous genes can be integrated into the genome during non-homologous end joining(NHEJ)of the double-strand breaks of DNA,causing insertional mutation.The random insertional mutant library constructed using this method has become a method of forward genetics for gene cloning.However,the establishment of a random insertional mutant library requires a high transformation efficiency of exogenous genes.Many microalgal species show a low transformation efficiency,making constructing random insertional mutant libraries difficult.In this study,we established a highly efficient transformation method for constructing a random insertional mutant library of Nannochloropsis oceanica,and tentatively tried to isolate its genes to prove the feasibility of the method.A gene that may control the growth rate and cell size was identified.This method will facilitate the genetic studies of N.oceanica,which should also be a reference for other microalgal species.展开更多

Yolov5 algorithm is used t...In order to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents and assist drivers to avoid dangerous driving. This paper presents a smart in-vehicle safety system that utilises the Yolov5 algorithm. Yolov5 algorithm is used to anticipate driver fatigue and distraction behaviours, and remind drivers to pay attention to safe driving in time. The system continuously splits the frames and analyses the frame content through the video feedback from the front camera, compared to the traditional machine learning, Yolov5’s mosaic data is enhanced, resulting in a batch size enhancement of 92.3%, and it also uses the Drop Block mechanism to prevent overfitting. The hardware of this system uses STM32 microcontroller and uses system DMA interrupt control and buzzer alarm device to warn about dangerous driving behaviour.展开更多

Design/meth...Purpose: The study intends to examine the factors influencing the behavioral intention to use academic libraries’ mobile systems from the perspective of current users and potential adopters, respectively. Design/methodology/approach: Our study investigates the mobile library system’s acceptance by using a context-specific extension of the theory of reasoned action(TRA) and the technology acceptance model(TAM), which includes such factors as mobile self-efficacy, personal innovativeness and perceived playfulness. Structural equation modeling was used to test the validity of the proposed model based on the empirical data which was collected from 210 questionnaire survey participants.Findings: The result shows that 1) for both current users and potential adopters, attitude toward use and subjective norm both have a significant and positive impact on behavioral intention to use; 2) perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are significantly correlated to potential adopters’ attitude toward use whereas perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness are significantly related to current users’ attitude toward use; 3) as for the comparison between the two groups of users, personal innovativeness not only affects perceived usefulness of both current users and potential adopters, but also affects potential adopters’ perceived playfulness positively. Mobile self-efficacy has a significant effect on perceived ease of use for both types of users.Research limitations: Although the sample size met the basic statistics requirements for the social research, the participants were mainly college students, and other mobile system users like faculty members and researchers were not investigated. In addition, some influencing factors, such as information quality, system quality and service quality were not considered in the research model.Practical implications: This study reveals main factors which influence both current users and potential adopters’ intention to use the mobile system, providing academic libraries withinsights into management strategies to offer customized mobile services to different types of users. Objective:Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor.However,the survival of patients with osteosarcoma has remained unchanged during the past 30 years,owing to a lack of efficient therapeutic target...Objective:Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor.However,the survival of patients with osteosarcoma has remained unchanged during the past 30 years,owing to a lack of efficient therapeutic targets.Methods:We constructed a kinome-targeting CRISPR-Cas9 library containing 507 kinases and 100 nontargeting controls and screened the potential kinase targets in osteosarcoma.The CRISPR screening sequencing data were analyzed with the Model-based Analysis of Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 Knockout(MAGeCK)Python package.The functional data were applied in the 143B cell line through lenti-CRISPR-mediated gene knockout.The clinical significance of kinases in the survival of patients with osteosarcoma was analyzed in the R2:Genomics Analysis and Visualization Platform.Results:We identified 53 potential kinase targets in osteosarcoma.Among these targets,we analyzed 3 kinases,TRRAP,PKMYT1,and TP53RK,to validate their oncogenic functions in osteosarcoma.PKMYT1 and TP53RK showed higher expression in osteosarcoma than in normal bone tissue,whereas TRRAP showed no significant difference.High expression of all 3 kinases was associated with relatively poor prognosis in patients with osteosarcoma.Conclusions:Our results not only offer potential therapeutic kinase targets in osteosarcoma but also provide a paradigm for functional genetic screening by using a CRISPR-Cas9 library,including target design,library construction,screening workflow,data analysis,and functional validation.This method may also be useful in potentially accelerating drug discovery for other cancer types.展开更多

Without adequate knowledge of Information Retrieval (IR) methods, the retrieval process for information would be cumbersome and frustrating. Studies have further revealed that IR methods are essential in information centres (for example, Digital Library environment) for storage and retrieval of information. Therefore, with more than one billion people accessing the Internet, and millions of queries being issued on a daily basis, modern Web search engines are facing a problem of daunting scale. The main problem associated with the existing search engines is how to avoid irrelevant information retrieval and to retrieve the relevant ones. In this study, the existing system of library retrieval was studied. Problems associated with them were analyzed in order to address this problem. The concept of existing information retrieval models was studied, and the knowledge gained was used to design a digital library information retrieval system. It was successfully implemented using a real life data. The need for a continuous evaluation of the IR methods for effective and efficient full text retrieval system was recommended.展开更多

A 1200 fine group nuclear data library Hybrid Evaluated Nuclear Data Library/Fine Group(HENDL/FG with neutrons of up to 150 Me V has been developed to improve the accuracy of neutronics calculations and anal ysis. Corrections of Doppler, resonance self-shielding, and thermal upscatter effects were done for HENDL/FG Shielding and critical safety benchmarks were performed to test the accuracy and reliability of the library. 文摘Objective:Osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor.However,the survival of patients with osteosarcoma has remained unchanged during the past 30 years,owing to a lack of efficient therapeutic targets.Methods:We constructed a kinome-targeting CRISPR-Cas9 library containing 507 kinases and 100 nontargeting controls and screened the potential kinase targets in osteosarcoma.The CRISPR screening sequencing data were analyzed with the Model-based Analysis of Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 Knockout(MAGeCK)Python package.The functional data were applied in the 143B cell line through lenti-CRISPR-mediated gene knockout.The clinical significance of kinases in the survival of patients with osteosarcoma was analyzed in the R2:Genomics Analysis and Visualization Platform.Results:We identified 53 potential kinase targets in osteosarcoma.Among these targets,we analyzed 3 kinases,TRRAP,PKMYT1,and TP53RK,to validate their oncogenic functions in osteosarcoma.PKMYT1 and TP53RK showed higher expression in osteosarcoma than in normal bone tissue,whereas TRRAP showed no significant difference.High expression of all 3 kinases was associated with relatively poor prognosis in patients with osteosarcoma.Conclusions:Our results not only offer potential therapeutic kinase targets in osteosarcoma but also provide a paradigm for functional genetic screening by using a CRISPR-Cas9 library,including target design,library construction,screening workflow,data analysis,and functional validation.This method may also be useful in potentially accelerating drug discovery for other cancer types.
文摘The volume of information being created, generated and stored is huge. Without adequate knowledge of Information Retrieval (IR) methods, the retrieval process for information would be cumbersome and frustrating. Studies have further revealed that IR methods are essential in information centres (for example, Digital Library environment) for storage and retrieval of information. Therefore, with more than one billion people accessing the Internet, and millions of queries being issued on a daily basis, modern Web search engines are facing a problem of daunting scale. The main problem associated with the existing search engines is how to avoid irrelevant information retrieval and to retrieve the relevant ones. In this study, the existing system of library retrieval was studied. Problems associated with them were analyzed in order to address this problem. The concept of existing information retrieval models was studied, and the knowledge gained was used to design a digital library information retrieval system. It was successfully implemented using a real life data. The need for a continuous evaluation of the IR methods for effective and efficient full text retrieval system was recommended.

文摘Accurate and reliable nuclear data libraries are essential for calculation and design of advanced nuclea systems. A 1200 fine group nuclear data library Hybrid Evaluated Nuclear Data Library/Fine Group(HENDL/FG with neutrons of up to 150 Me V has been developed to improve the accuracy of neutronics calculations and anal ysis. Corrections of Doppler, resonance self-shielding, and thermal upscatter effects were done for HENDL/FG Shielding and critical safety benchmarks were performed to test the accuracy and reliability of the library. The dis crepancy between calculated and measured nuclea parameters fell into a reasonable range.
文摘This paper reviews the development of Lib-PassPort service program by Jiangsu Academic Library & Information System(JALIS). The service has realized a reader self-directed method of interlibrary loan of printed books at more than 130 university libraries within Jiangsu Province of China in the last 5 years and with a cumulative interlibrary circulation of nearly 190,000 volumes. The paper describes the framework of the clientele, structure, functions, policies, and management mechanisms of the services, and demonstrates its contribution to the improved accessibility of library materials in the region.
文摘Information Accessibility for disabled people is one of the most important design criteria for the China National Digital Library (CNDL) development. Sign language synthesis systems are effective to provide information services for people with hearing and speech impairments. This paper presents a framework of a sign language synthesis system application in CNDL, as well as discusses the relevant technologies applied in the system. CNDL has been a real practice area for the sign language synthesis research.
