Then, on the basis of the optimization method of the correlation coefficient, the parameter estimation formulas were induced and the generalized fatigue constant life curve with the reliability level p was given. From P-S-a-S-m curve, the two-dimensional probability distribution of the fatigue limit was derived. After then, three se, of tests of LY11 CZ corresponding to the different average stress were carried out in terms of the two-dimensional up-down method. Finally, the methods are used to analyze the test results, and it is found that the analyzed results with the high precision may be obtained.展开更多

It discusses the existing concepts and methods for developing S-N curves using empirical formulae and monotonic strength parameters, such as the ultimate tensile strength and hardness. It also discusses relationships among these monotonic parameters. Then it presents formulae for developing hardness-based full range S-N curves for medium strength steels. The formulae are verified using experimental data obtained from both monotonic and cyclic testing. Finally, it describes the advantages of these hardness-based formulae for developing location specific S-N curves as hardness testing is a non-destructive test which can be carried out on specific locations in structures.展开更多

Thirty-f...To preliminarily determine the appropriate dosage of carboplatin (CBP) at AUC of 5 mg-M1^-1·min^-1 in the combination chemotherapy for Chinese senile patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Thirty-five Chinese senile patients with NSCLC in advanced stage (Ⅲ/Ⅳ) were given 96 cycles of combination chemotherapy. Chemotherapy schedules included Taxol+CBP, Gemzar+CBP and NVB+CBE The dose of CBP was at 5 mg.mL^-1·min^-1 of area under the concentration-time curve (AUC). Side effects and quality of life were observed before and after the chemotherapy. Myelosuppression was severe and commonly observed. Grade 3/4 of granulocytopenia was found in 47.9% (46/96) of the patients and grade 3/4 of thrombocytopenia was noted in 28.1% (27/96) of the subjects. However, other side effects were slight. The mean score of quality of life (QOL), according to the criteria of QOL for Chinese cancer patients had reduced 6.8. At 5 mg.mL^-1·min^-1 by AUC, the hematological toxicity of CBP was severe and it had some negative effects on the QOL. The administration of CBP at 5 mg.mL^-1·min^-1 by AUC may be too high for Chinese senile patients with non-small cell lung cancer.展开更多
The stress-life curve(S–N)and low-cycle strain-life curve(E–N)are the two primary representations used to characterize the fatigue behavior of a material.These material fatigue curves are essential for structural fa...The stress-life curve(S–N)and low-cycle strain-life curve(E–N)are the two primary representations used to characterize the fatigue behavior of a material.These material fatigue curves are essential for structural fatigue analysis.However,conducting material fatigue tests is expensive and time-intensive.To address the challenge of data limitations on ferrous metal materials,we propose a novel method that utilizes the Random Forest Algorithm and transfer learning to predict the S–N and E–N curves of ferrous materials.In addition,a data-augmentation framework is introduced using a conditional generative adversarial network(cGAN)to overcome data deficiencies.By incorporating the cGAN-generated data,the accuracy(R2)of the Random Forest Algorithm-trained model is improved by 0.3–0.6.It is proven that the cGAN can significantly enhance the prediction accuracy of the machine-learning model and balance the cost of obtaining fatigue data from the experiment.展开更多
