Xinjiang, China is affected by geographical terrain and other factors, and is prone to lightning disasters. In order to effectively carry out lightning protection and disaster reduction work and improve defense capabilities, based on the data of lightning location monitoring in Xinjiang in 2017 and the statistics reports of the lightning disasters from 2015 to 2017, the characteristics of the cloud-to-ground (CG) lightning activities and disasters in Xinjiang were statistically analyzed. The results show that the CG lightning in Xinjiang is mainly the negative one, accounting for 79.7% of the total lightning. In 2017, the distribution of positive, negative and total the CG lightning months mainly focuses on June to August, and the main occurrence period is from 14 to 23 hours. The intensity of total the CG lightning and negative the CG lightning mainly distributes from 20 to 40 kA, and the peak value appears in 30 kA. The CG lightning intensity is mainly distributed in 30 - 70 kA. The distribution of the CG lightning density in Xinjiang is larger in the north than in the south and larger in the west than in the east. Lightning disasters mainly occur from May to August, accounting for 93.2 percent of the total, with the largest number in June. From 2005 to 2017, 44.6% of lightning accidents occurred in farming and pastoral areas, followed by civil electronic equipment damage. In addition, electrical equipment, buildings and factory equipment are damaged by lightning strikes to varying degrees. 展开更多

The characteristics of lightning monitoring and positioning system in Inner Mongolia were introduced and studied in the lightning accident analysis based on the lightning monitoring and positioning data of the lightning stroke accidents. The positioning error of lightning monitoring and positioning system was analyzed. The results showed that lightning current intensity and the position precision were very important data in the lightning disaster investigation. The climate impact assessment and monthly and annual reports of surface meteorological observation of cities and counties were reviewed,and there were no records of lightning disasters in Shaoyang from 1978 to 2000.Since 2001,there have been few records of lightning disasters,with only about 10 times in various regions.In this paper,a total of 143 investigation reports on lightning accidents since 2002 were collected,and statistical analysis was conducted based on the loss,location of occurrence,damaged industries,and social impact.In particular,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of lightning in Shaoyang area have been clearly understood,and the main characteristics and laws of lightning accidents in Shaoyang area were revealed.The results showed that the most lightning accidents occurred in June,and no lightning accidents occurred in December.Dongkou,Longhui,and Shaoyang urban areas were the lightning prone areas,and the impact of lightning on agriculture was the largest,followed by commerce.The prevention countermeasures of lightning disasters were proposed to provide reference for disaster prevention and reduction. 展开更多

Lightning disaster risk assessment,as an intuitive method to reflect the risk of regional lightning disasters,has aroused the research interest of many researchers.Nowadays,there are many schemes for lightning disaster risk assessment,but there are also some shortcomings,such as the resolution of the assessment is not clear enough,the accuracy rate cannot be verified,and the weight distribution has a strong subjective trend.This paper is guided by lightning disaster data and combines lightning data,population data and GDP data.Through support vector machine(SVM),it explores a way to combine artificial intelligence algorithms with lightning disaster risk assessment.By fitting the lightning disaster data,the weight distribution between the various impact factors is obtained.In the experiment,the probability of lightning disaster is used to compare with the actual occurrence of lightning disaster.It can be found that the disaster risk assessment model proposed in this paper is more reasonable for the lightning risk.It has been verified that the accuracy rate of the assessment model in this paper has reached 80.2%,which reflects the superiority of the model. 展开更多

Over the past 10 years,lightning disaster has caused a large number of casualties and considerable economic loss worldwide.Lightning poses a huge threat to various industries.In an attempt to reduce the risk of lightning-caused disaster,many scholars have carried out in-depth research on lightning.However,these studies focus primarily on the lightning itself and other meteorological elements are ignored.In addition,the methods for assessing the risk of lightning disaster fail to give detailed attention to regional features(lightning disaster risk).This paper proposes a grid-based risk assessment method based on data from multiple sources.First,this paper considers the impact of lightning,the population density,the economy,and geographical environment data on the occurrence of lightning disasters;Second,this paper solves the problem of imbalanced lightning disaster data in geographic grid samples based on the K-means clustering algorithm;Third,the method calculates the feature of lightning disaster in each small field with the help of neural network structure,and the calculation results are then visually reflected in a zoning map by the Jenks natural breaks algorithm.The experimental results show that our method can solve the problem of imbalanced lightning disaster data,and offer 81%accuracy in lightning disaster risk assessment. 展开更多

基于2000-2020年湖北省雷电灾害资料,统计了雷电灾害的等级、经济损失、人员伤亡以及受灾行业等信息,分析了不同等级雷电灾害变化特征、受灾行业以及生命和经济损失特征。结果表明:2000-2020年湖北省雷灾以一般和较大等级为主,占比达96.... 基于2000-2020年湖北省雷电灾害资料,统计了雷电灾害的等级、经济损失、人员伤亡以及受灾行业等信息,分析了不同等级雷电灾害变化特征、受灾行业以及生命和经济损失特征。结果表明:2000-2020年湖北省雷灾以一般和较大等级为主,占比达96.31%,重大、较大、一般等级雷灾均呈先上升后降低的特征;鄂东地区为雷灾高发区,江汉平原常发生较大及以上等级的雷灾,而鄂西地区以一般等级雷灾为主;农、林、牧、渔业最易遭受雷灾,其伤亡和设备损坏也最严重,但呈下降趋势;制造业因雷灾造成的经济损失最大,尤其是在鄂东北地区;全省生命损失指数呈东高西低的分布特征,高至较高生命、经济损失指数主要集中在鄂东中部地区,少量散布在鄂西北和江汉平原局地。 展开更多
