The penetration of new energy sources such as wind power is increasing,which consequently increases the occurrence rate of subsynchronous oscillation events.However,existing subsynchronous oscillation source-identific...The penetration of new energy sources such as wind power is increasing,which consequently increases the occurrence rate of subsynchronous oscillation events.However,existing subsynchronous oscillation source-identification methods primarily analyze fixed-mode oscillations and rarely consider time-varying features,such as frequency drift,caused by the random volatility of wind farms when oscillations occur.This paper proposes a subsynchronous oscillation sourcelocalization method that involves an enhanced short-time Fourier transform and a convolutional neural network(CNN).First,an enhanced STFT is performed to secure high-resolution time-frequency distribution(TFD)images from the measured data of the generation unit ports.Next,these TFD images are amalgamated to form a subsynchronous oscillation feature map that serves as input to the CNN to train the localization model.Ultimately,the trained CNN model realizes the online localization of subsynchronous oscillation sources.The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method are validated via multimachine system models simulating forced and natural oscillation events using the Power Systems Computer Aided Design platform.Test results show that the proposed method can localize subsynchronous oscillation sources online while considering unpredictable fluctuations in wind farms,thus providing a foundation for oscillation suppression in practical engineering scenarios.展开更多

A four-cluster chimera state is observed for the moderate strength of the external potential. Different from the clustered chimera states studied before, the instantaneous frequencies of the oscillators in a synchronized cluster are different in the presence of the external potential. As the strength of the external potential increases, a bifurcation from the two-cluster chimera state to the four-cluster chimera states can be found. These phenomena are well predicted analytically with the help of the Ott-Antonsen ansatz.展开更多

In this paper, we propose a method of phase attack on reference pulses of the LLO-CVQKD with time-multiplexing. Under this phase attack, the phase drifts of reference pulses are manipulated by eavesdroppers, and then the phase compensation error is increased. Consequently, the secret key rate is reduced due to the imperfect phase compensation for quantum signals. Based on the noise model of imperfect phase compensation, the practical security of LLO-CVQKD under phase attack is analyzed. The simulation results show that the practical security is reduced due to the phase attack, yet it is still tight when system parameters are estimated by training signals.展开更多
Long-term levodopa administration can lead to the development of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Gamma oscillations are a widely recognized hallmark of abnormal neural electrical activity in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Cu...Long-term levodopa administration can lead to the development of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Gamma oscillations are a widely recognized hallmark of abnormal neural electrical activity in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Currently,studies have reported increased oscillation power in cases of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.However,little is known about how the other electrophysiological parameters of gamma oscillations are altered in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Furthermore,the role of the dopamine D3 receptor,which is implicated in levodopa-induced dyskinesia,in movement disorder-related changes in neural oscillations is unclear.We found that the cortico-striatal functional connectivity of beta oscillations was enhanced in a model of Parkinson’s disease.Furthermore,levodopa application enhanced cortical gamma oscillations in cortico-striatal projections and cortical gamma aperiodic components,as well as bidirectional primary motor cortex(M1)↔dorsolateral striatum gamma flow.Administration of PD128907(a selective dopamine D3 receptor agonist)induced dyskinesia and excessive gamma oscillations with a bidirectional M1↔dorsolateral striatum flow.However,administration of PG01037(a selective dopamine D3 receptor antagonist)attenuated dyskinesia,suppressed gamma oscillations and cortical gamma aperiodic components,and decreased gamma causality in the M1→dorsolateral striatum direction.These findings suggest that the dopamine D3 receptor plays a role in dyskinesia-related oscillatory activity,and that it has potential as a therapeutic target for levodopa-induced dyskinesia.展开更多

During initial studies of ECRH in the HL-1M tokamak, non-standard central MHD activities,such as saturated sawtooth, partially saturated sawtooth, double sawtooth, and the strong m = 1 bursts have been observed while ...During initial studies of ECRH in the HL-1M tokamak, non-standard central MHD activities,such as saturated sawtooth, partially saturated sawtooth, double sawtooth, and the strong m = 1 bursts have been observed while changing the heating location, the ECRH power, the plasma density. Complete suppression of sawtooth is achieved for the duration of the ECRH, when the heating power is applied on the high-field side of low-density plasma, and exceeds a threshold value of power. The m = 1 bursts riding on the ramp phase of sawtooth can only be excited when the ECRH location is near the q = 1 surface on the high field side. The conditions under which the various relaxation activities are produced or suppressed are described. Experimental results imply that the energetic electrons generated during ECRH are responsible for the modification/or stabilization/or excitation of the instability. Near the q = 1 surface, the passing electrons play the role of reducing the shear and tending to stabilize the sawtooth activity, while the barely-trapped electrons play the role of enhancing or driving an internal kink instability.展开更多

Results show that the Aleutian Low is linked with the Circumpolar Vortex in the Southern Hemisphere on a 30-60-day oscillation, with a weak Circumpolar Vortex tending to deepen the Aleutian Low which may be helpful for the generation of dust storm events. The possible mechanism behind this is the inter-hemispheric interaction of the mean meridional circulation, with the major variability over East Asia. The zonal mean westerly wind at high latitudes of the Southern Hemisphere in the upper level troposphere may lead that of the Northern Hemisphere, which then impacts the local circulation in the Northern Hemisphere. Thus, the low frequency oscillation teleconnection is one possible linkage in the coupling between the Southern Hemisphere circulation and dust events over North China. However, the interannual variation of the low frequency oscillation is unclear.展开更多
We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson impurity.Once the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin depe...We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson impurity.Once the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r^(-2) in real space in the doping cases.Meanwhile,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as r^(-3).Such spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin asymmetry.Interestingly,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment(H.González-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437(2016)).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase approximation.Finally,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states(FT-LDOS).Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.展开更多

In mDRIPS, each target continuously ...In this paper, a low-cost dualtone radio interferometric positioning system using a single mobile anchor is proposed to locate multiple targets at the same time. We name it mDRIPS. In mDRIPS, each target continuously transmits a dual-tone signal with its dedicated frequencies, and the mobile anchor receives the signals at different positions along its trajectory, Neither time synchronization between the mobile anchor and the targets nor time synchronization among the targets is required. We take the instability of targets clocks into consideration and develop an ESPRIT-type algorithm to estimate frequencies of each dual-tone signal. Furthermore, the time of arrival (TOA) of each target signal is extracted from the phase estimates of the received dual-tone signals. After measuring several TOAs at different locations along the anchor's trajectory, each target can be located. Since the frequency difference of the two tones of each dualtone signal is designed to be smaller than the channel coherence bandwidth, the same fading effect on these two tones can be eliminated. Moreover, the integer ambiguity problem due to phase wrapping is investigated, and a localization algorithm to deal with a simplified ambiguity problem is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed mDRIPS.展开更多
The localized differential quadrature (LDQ) method is a numerical technique with high accuracy for solving most kinds of nonlinear problems in engineering and can overcome the difficulties of other methods (such as di...The localized differential quadrature (LDQ) method is a numerical technique with high accuracy for solving most kinds of nonlinear problems in engineering and can overcome the difficulties of other methods (such as difference method) to numerically evaluate the derivatives of the functions.Its high efficiency and accuracy attract many engineers to apply the method to solve most of the numerical problems in engineering.However,difficulties can still be found in some particular problems.In the following study,the LDQ was applied to solve the Sod shock tube problem.This problem is a very particular kind of problem,which challenges many common numerical methods.Three different examples were given for testing the robustness and accuracy of the LDQ.In the first example,in which common initial conditions and solving methods were given,the numerical oscillations could be found dramatically;in the second example,the initial conditions were adjusted appropriately and the numerical oscillations were less dramatic than that in the first example;in the third example,the momentum equation of the Sod shock tube problem was corrected by adding artificial viscosity,causing the numerical oscillations to nearly disappear in the process of calculation.The numerical results presented demonstrate the detailed difficulties encountered in the calculations,which need to be improved in future work.However,in summary,the localized differential quadrature is shown to be a trustworthy method for solving most of the nonlinear problems in engineering.展开更多

There are many different definitions for stable and unstable solutions in ...Investigating local dynamics of equilibrium points of nonlinear systems plays an important role in studying the behavior of dynamical systems. There are many different definitions for stable and unstable solutions in the literature. The main goal to develop stability definitions is exploring the responses or output of a system to perturbation as time approaches infinity. Due to the wide range of application of local dynamical system theory in physics, biology, economics and social science, it still attracts many researchers to play with its definitions to find out the answers for their questions. In this paper, we start with a brief review over continuous time dynamical systems modeling and then we bring useful examples to the playground. We study the local dynamics of some interesting systems and we show the local stable behavior of the system around its critical points. Moreover, we look at local dynamical behavior of famous dynamical systems, Hénon-Heiles system, Duffing oscillator and Van der Pol equation and analyze them. Finally, we discuss about the chaotic behavior of Hamiltonian systems using two different and new examples.展开更多
Deep brain stimulation (DBS) has become an effective therapeutic option for neurological and psychiatric disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), dystonia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The subthalamic nucleu...Deep brain stimulation (DBS) has become an effective therapeutic option for neurological and psychiatric disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), dystonia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The subthalamic nucleus (STN) and internal globus pallidus (GPi) are by far the most commonly used targets for DBS in the treatment of PD. However, STN/GPi stimulation sometimes causes side effects, including motor fluctuations, cognitive declines, and worse emotional experience, which affect patients’ postoperative quality of life. Recent invasive electrophysiological studies are driven by the desire to better understand the mechanisms of therapeutic actions and side effects of STN/GPi stimulation. These studies investigated the function of the STN and GPi in motor, cognitive and affective processes by recording single- neuron firing patterns during the surgery or local field potentials after the surgery. Here we review the relevant studies to provide an integrative picture of the functional roles of the STN and GPi within the basal ganglia loops for motor, cognition, and emotion. Previous studies suggested that STN and GPi gamma oscillations encode the strength and speed of voluntary movements (execution), whereas beta oscillations reflect the effort and demand of potential movements (preparation). In the cognitive domain, oscillatory beta activity in the STN is involved when people have to stop an inappropriate action or to suppress salient but task-irrelevant information, whereas theta/delta activity is associated with the adjustment of decision thresholds and cost-benefit trade-off. In the affective domain, STN activity in the alpha band may represent the valence and arousal of emotional information.展开更多
Quantum networks provide opportunities and challenges across a range of intellectual and technical frontiers,including quantum computation,communication,and others.Unlike traditional communication networks,quantum net...Quantum networks provide opportunities and challenges across a range of intellectual and technical frontiers,including quantum computation,communication,and others.Unlike traditional communication networks,quantum networks utilize quantum bits rather than classical bits to store and transmit information.Quantum key distribution(QKD)relying on the principles of quantum mechanics is a key component in quantum networks and enables two parties to produce a shared random secret key,thereby ensuring the security of data transmission.In this work,we propose a cost-effective quantum downstream access network structure in which each user can get their corresponding key information through terminal distribution.Based on this structure,we demonstrate the first four-end-users quantum downstream access network in continuous variable QKD with a local local oscillator.In contrast to point-to-point continuous variable QKD,the network architecture reevaluates the security of each user and accounts for it accordingly,and each user has a lower tolerance for excess noise as the overall network expands with more users.Hence,the feasibility of the experiment is based on the analysis of the theoretical model,noise analysis,and multiple techniques such as the particle filter and adaptive equalization algorithm used to suppress excess noise.The results show that each user can get a low level of excess noise and can achieve secret key rates of 546 kbps,535 kbps,522.5 kbps,and 512.5 kbps under a transmission distance of 10 km,respectively,with the finite-size block of 1×10~8.This not only verifies the good performance but also provides the foundation for the future multi-user quantum downstream access networks.展开更多

A very low-frequency waves exist in the tropics and play an important role in dominating intraseasonal oscillation and lead to special seasonal variation of intraseasonal oscillation over the South China Sea/tropical western Pacific area. The intraseasonal oscillation (convection) over the South China Sea and tropical western Pacific area is closely related to the summer rainfall (convection) in the southern China. Their relationship seems to be a seesaw feature, and this relationship resulting from the different pattern of convection in those two regions is caused by the differnt type of local meridional circulation.展开更多

文摘Long-term levodopa administration can lead to the development of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Gamma oscillations are a widely recognized hallmark of abnormal neural electrical activity in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Currently,studies have reported increased oscillation power in cases of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.However,little is known about how the other electrophysiological parameters of gamma oscillations are altered in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Furthermore,the role of the dopamine D3 receptor,which is implicated in levodopa-induced dyskinesia,in movement disorder-related changes in neural oscillations is unclear.We found that the cortico-striatal functional connectivity of beta oscillations was enhanced in a model of Parkinson’s disease.Furthermore,levodopa application enhanced cortical gamma oscillations in cortico-striatal projections and cortical gamma aperiodic components,as well as bidirectional primary motor cortex(M1)↔dorsolateral striatum gamma flow.Administration of PD128907(a selective dopamine D3 receptor agonist)induced dyskinesia and excessive gamma oscillations with a bidirectional M1↔dorsolateral striatum flow.However,administration of PG01037(a selective dopamine D3 receptor antagonist)attenuated dyskinesia,suppressed gamma oscillations and cortical gamma aperiodic components,and decreased gamma causality in the M1→dorsolateral striatum direction.These findings suggest that the dopamine D3 receptor plays a role in dyskinesia-related oscillatory activity,and that it has potential as a therapeutic target for levodopa-induced dyskinesia.

文摘During initial studies of ECRH in the HL-1M tokamak, non-standard central MHD activities,such as saturated sawtooth, partially saturated sawtooth, double sawtooth, and the strong m = 1 bursts have been observed while changing the heating location, the ECRH power, the plasma density. Complete suppression of sawtooth is achieved for the duration of the ECRH, when the heating power is applied on the high-field side of low-density plasma, and exceeds a threshold value of power. The m = 1 bursts riding on the ramp phase of sawtooth can only be excited when the ECRH location is near the q = 1 surface on the high field side. The conditions under which the various relaxation activities are produced or suppressed are described. Experimental results imply that the energetic electrons generated during ECRH are responsible for the modification/or stabilization/or excitation of the instability. Near the q = 1 surface, the passing electrons play the role of reducing the shear and tending to stabilize the sawtooth activity, while the barely-trapped electrons play the role of enhancing or driving an internal kink instability.
文摘A research on the spurious tones due to the current mismatch in charge pumps of DLL(Delay Locked Loop) based RF CMOS oscillators is performed.An equation for strength evaluation of the spurious tones is derived.Two tables are provided to make it obvious to understand for the characteristics of spurious tones changing with related parameters.Some suggestions are given for the design of a DLL based RF CMOS oscillators.
文摘By jitter performance comparison between PLL (Phase Locked Loop) and DLL (Delay Locked Loop),a helpful equation is derived for the structure choice between DLL and PLL based synthesizers fabricated in CMOS processes to get an optimum jitter performance and power consumption.For a frequency synthesizer,a large multiple factor prefers PLL based configuration which consumes less power,while a small one needs DLL based topology which produces a better jitter performance.

文摘The low frequency oscillation in both hemispheres and its possible role in the dust weather storm events over North China in 2002 are analyzed as a case study. Results show that the Aleutian Low is linked with the Circumpolar Vortex in the Southern Hemisphere on a 30-60-day oscillation, with a weak Circumpolar Vortex tending to deepen the Aleutian Low which may be helpful for the generation of dust storm events. The possible mechanism behind this is the inter-hemispheric interaction of the mean meridional circulation, with the major variability over East Asia. The zonal mean westerly wind at high latitudes of the Southern Hemisphere in the upper level troposphere may lead that of the Northern Hemisphere, which then impacts the local circulation in the Northern Hemisphere. Thus, the low frequency oscillation teleconnection is one possible linkage in the coupling between the Southern Hemisphere circulation and dust events over North China. However, the interannual variation of the low frequency oscillation is unclear.

文摘We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson impurity.Once the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r^(-2) in real space in the doping cases.Meanwhile,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as r^(-3).Such spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin asymmetry.Interestingly,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment(H.González-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437(2016)).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase approximation.Finally,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states(FT-LDOS).Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.

文摘In this paper, a low-cost dualtone radio interferometric positioning system using a single mobile anchor is proposed to locate multiple targets at the same time. We name it mDRIPS. In mDRIPS, each target continuously transmits a dual-tone signal with its dedicated frequencies, and the mobile anchor receives the signals at different positions along its trajectory, Neither time synchronization between the mobile anchor and the targets nor time synchronization among the targets is required. We take the instability of targets clocks into consideration and develop an ESPRIT-type algorithm to estimate frequencies of each dual-tone signal. Furthermore, the time of arrival (TOA) of each target signal is extracted from the phase estimates of the received dual-tone signals. After measuring several TOAs at different locations along the anchor's trajectory, each target can be located. Since the frequency difference of the two tones of each dualtone signal is designed to be smaller than the channel coherence bandwidth, the same fading effect on these two tones can be eliminated. Moreover, the integer ambiguity problem due to phase wrapping is investigated, and a localization algorithm to deal with a simplified ambiguity problem is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed mDRIPS.
文摘The localized differential quadrature (LDQ) method is a numerical technique with high accuracy for solving most kinds of nonlinear problems in engineering and can overcome the difficulties of other methods (such as difference method) to numerically evaluate the derivatives of the functions.Its high efficiency and accuracy attract many engineers to apply the method to solve most of the numerical problems in engineering.However,difficulties can still be found in some particular problems.In the following study,the LDQ was applied to solve the Sod shock tube problem.This problem is a very particular kind of problem,which challenges many common numerical methods.Three different examples were given for testing the robustness and accuracy of the LDQ.In the first example,in which common initial conditions and solving methods were given,the numerical oscillations could be found dramatically;in the second example,the initial conditions were adjusted appropriately and the numerical oscillations were less dramatic than that in the first example;in the third example,the momentum equation of the Sod shock tube problem was corrected by adding artificial viscosity,causing the numerical oscillations to nearly disappear in the process of calculation.The numerical results presented demonstrate the detailed difficulties encountered in the calculations,which need to be improved in future work.However,in summary,the localized differential quadrature is shown to be a trustworthy method for solving most of the nonlinear problems in engineering.
文摘Investigating local dynamics of equilibrium points of nonlinear systems plays an important role in studying the behavior of dynamical systems. There are many different definitions for stable and unstable solutions in the literature. The main goal to develop stability definitions is exploring the responses or output of a system to perturbation as time approaches infinity. Due to the wide range of application of local dynamical system theory in physics, biology, economics and social science, it still attracts many researchers to play with its definitions to find out the answers for their questions. In this paper, we start with a brief review over continuous time dynamical systems modeling and then we bring useful examples to the playground. We study the local dynamics of some interesting systems and we show the local stable behavior of the system around its critical points. Moreover, we look at local dynamical behavior of famous dynamical systems, Hénon-Heiles system, Duffing oscillator and Van der Pol equation and analyze them. Finally, we discuss about the chaotic behavior of Hamiltonian systems using two different and new examples.

文摘Deep brain stimulation (DBS) has become an effective therapeutic option for neurological and psychiatric disorders such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), dystonia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The subthalamic nucleus (STN) and internal globus pallidus (GPi) are by far the most commonly used targets for DBS in the treatment of PD. However, STN/GPi stimulation sometimes causes side effects, including motor fluctuations, cognitive declines, and worse emotional experience, which affect patients’ postoperative quality of life. Recent invasive electrophysiological studies are driven by the desire to better understand the mechanisms of therapeutic actions and side effects of STN/GPi stimulation. These studies investigated the function of the STN and GPi in motor, cognitive and affective processes by recording single- neuron firing patterns during the surgery or local field potentials after the surgery. Here we review the relevant studies to provide an integrative picture of the functional roles of the STN and GPi within the basal ganglia loops for motor, cognition, and emotion. Previous studies suggested that STN and GPi gamma oscillations encode the strength and speed of voluntary movements (execution), whereas beta oscillations reflect the effort and demand of potential movements (preparation). In the cognitive domain, oscillatory beta activity in the STN is involved when people have to stop an inappropriate action or to suppress salient but task-irrelevant information, whereas theta/delta activity is associated with the adjustment of decision thresholds and cost-benefit trade-off. In the affective domain, STN activity in the alpha band may represent the valence and arousal of emotional information.

文摘Quantum networks provide opportunities and challenges across a range of intellectual and technical frontiers,including quantum computation,communication,and others.Unlike traditional communication networks,quantum networks utilize quantum bits rather than classical bits to store and transmit information.Quantum key distribution(QKD)relying on the principles of quantum mechanics is a key component in quantum networks and enables two parties to produce a shared random secret key,thereby ensuring the security of data transmission.In this work,we propose a cost-effective quantum downstream access network structure in which each user can get their corresponding key information through terminal distribution.Based on this structure,we demonstrate the first four-end-users quantum downstream access network in continuous variable QKD with a local local oscillator.In contrast to point-to-point continuous variable QKD,the network architecture reevaluates the security of each user and accounts for it accordingly,and each user has a lower tolerance for excess noise as the overall network expands with more users.Hence,the feasibility of the experiment is based on the analysis of the theoretical model,noise analysis,and multiple techniques such as the particle filter and adaptive equalization algorithm used to suppress excess noise.The results show that each user can get a low level of excess noise and can achieve secret key rates of 546 kbps,535 kbps,522.5 kbps,and 512.5 kbps under a transmission distance of 10 km,respectively,with the finite-size block of 1×10~8.This not only verifies the good performance but also provides the foundation for the future multi-user quantum downstream access networks.
文摘以O2O理论为基础构建SoLoMo商业模式本地资源整合要素的评价指标体系,建立结构方程模型,以江苏苏州78家中小型电子商务企业为样本,将设计好的调查问卷进行发放,并利用偏最小二乘法进行数据分析,实证分析结果令人满意。经检验,所有因子的CR都大于临界值0.7,而所有因子负载都大于0.7,且AVE均大于临界值0.5,表明测量指标同时具有良好的信度和效度。三个因素对本地资源整合程度均呈正向影响。证实了本地的社会资源在So Lo Mo商业模式成熟过程中的重要作用,不足之处在于,调查问卷仅在苏州本分地区互联网商家,不具有普遍代表性。
文摘In this paper, the evolution of intraseasonal oscillation over the South China Sea and tropical western Pacific area and its effect to the summer rainfall in the southern China are studied based on the ECMWF data and TBB data) analyses. A very low-frequency waves exist in the tropics and play an important role in dominating intraseasonal oscillation and lead to special seasonal variation of intraseasonal oscillation over the South China Sea/tropical western Pacific area. The intraseasonal oscillation (convection) over the South China Sea and tropical western Pacific area is closely related to the summer rainfall (convection) in the southern China. Their relationship seems to be a seesaw feature, and this relationship resulting from the different pattern of convection in those two regions is caused by the differnt type of local meridional circulation.
