[Method] Sixteen novel title compounds w...[Objective] In order to improve the herbicidal activity of toxins III(methyl2-methyl-3,5-dinitrobenzoate) from Phoma herbarbum, its structure was optimized by derivatization. [Method] Sixteen novel title compounds were synthesized by nitration and acylation with o-toluic acid as a starting material. Their structures were confirmed by IR and1 H NMR. [Result] The herbicidal activity screening showed that the inhibition rate of J-L-59 against E. crusgalli roots was 93.7% at 100 μg/ml. The fresh weight efficacy of J-L-59 against A. theophrasti and A. retroflexus was 100%at 1 000 g a.i./hm^2 , and the ED50 value for A. retroflexus was 94.06 g a.i./hm^2 .[Conclusion] J-L-59 has higher herbicidal activity.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the antiniicrobial polenlial of different extracts of the endophytic fungus Phoma sp.and the tentative identification of their active constituents.Methods:The extract and compounds were screened ...Objective:To evaluate the antiniicrobial polenlial of different extracts of the endophytic fungus Phoma sp.and the tentative identification of their active constituents.Methods:The extract and compounds were screened for antimicrobial activity using the Agar Well Diffusion Method.Four compounds were purified using column chromatography and tlieir structures were assigned using~1H and~(13)C NMR spectra,DEPT,2D COSY,HMQC and HMBC experiments.Results:The ethyl acetate fraction of Phoma sp.showed good antifungal,antibacterial,and algicidal properties.One new dihydrofuran derivative,named phomafuranol(1),together with tliree known compounds,phomalacton(2),(3R)-5-hydroxymellein(3)and emodin(4)were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Phoma sp.Preliminary studies indicated that phomalacton(2)displayed strong antibacterial,good antifungal and antialgal activities.Similarly(3R)-5-hydroxymellein(3)and emodin(4)showed good antifungal,antibacterial and algicidal properties.Conclusions:Antimicrobial activities of the ethyl acetate fraction of the endophytic fungus Phoma sp.and isolated compounds clearly demonstrate that Phoma sp.and its active compounds represent a great potential for the food,cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.展开更多

Six citrus lemon varieties (Meyer, Kiitdiken, Enterdonato, Yediveren, Sweet lemon and Euroka) were infected by P. tracheiphila and artificial inoculation were applied in vivo conditions. Before and after inoculation, leaf, branch and stem samples were taken from each lemon varieties. The results show that the amount of hesperidin and limonin concentration was increased after the inoculations at various levels based on the lemon cultivars. Various concentrations (1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 ppm) of hesperidin and limonin compounds were also tested under in vitro conditions to compare response of P. tracheiphila development. According to the results, hesperidin and limonin compounds play an important role against to P. tracheiphila development and Sweet Lemon variety was found to be the most resistance both observation and HPLC results.展开更多
A lthough advanced stage aggressive non-Hodgkin'slymphomas and Hodgkin's disease are thought to be che-motherapy-responsive cancers, a considerable number of patients either relapse or never attain a remission...A lthough advanced stage aggressive non-Hodgkin'slymphomas and Hodgkin's disease are thought to be che-motherapy-responsive cancers, a considerable number of patients either relapse or never attain a remission. High-dose therapy(HDT) followed by autologous stem cell transplantation(ASCT) is often the only possibility of cure for most of these patients. However, many controversial issues still remain with respect to HDT/ASCT for lymphomas, including its role for, the optimal timing of transplantation, the best conditioning regimen and the potential use of localized radiotherapy or immunologic methods to decrease post-transplant recurrence. Recently, mainly due to the unavailability of carmustine, several novel conditioning protocols have been clinically developed, with the aim of improving the overall outcome by enhancing the anti-lymphoma effect and, at the same time, by reducing short and long-term toxicity. Furthermore, the better safety profiles of novel approaches would definitively allow patients aged more than 65-70 years to benefit from this therapeutic option. In this review, we will briefly discuss the most relevant and recent data available regarding HDT/ASCT in lymphomas.展开更多

The efficacy of microbial antagonists against P. lingam in greenhouse was tested. Serratia plymuthica HRO-C48 and Gliocladium catenulatum J1446 were able to reduce the disease intensity of OSR cotelydones infested with P. lingam at rates 44% and 52% respectively. The reduction of the infestation of the root collar in BBCH14/15 was evaluated as well. Plants treated with a suspension of the antagonists (2 × 105 cfu/plant) and inoculated with either pycnidiospore suspension (2 × 107 cfu/ml) or agar disks grown with P. lingam mycelium, showed a reduced infestation rate of 53% - 93% in the presence of S. plymuthica and 46% - 77% in the presence of G. catenulatum. The efficacy of the antagonist depends highly on their concentration inside OSR seeds. Below 105 cfu/seed no significant difference was recorded between control untreated and infested plants.展开更多
